No, because I care a lot about it myself. Especially for my demon MM whose pets can't make up their minds. Not knowing which one to toss buffs on was getting old (same with my merc MM, who I could never tell if I should heal "the medic" or not).

Quote:Or... they could just add an "invisible" claw option for the weapon customization? While it's nice, you do realize it means creating a new set of character animations for each claw attack? At least in this case it would be less than doing staff combat since it should only be a minor change to existing animations. Of course it does mean tying costume and powers animations together... And creating all new poly models for the hands to permit individual fingers with animations... And other coding requirements i haven't listed since i don't actually know the details about the game engine.
Still, less work than staves, but probably more work than some new powersets.
Basically it's non-trivial, which is probably why the Devs haven't added finger claws despite it being requested since launch. -

Wow, the 81 one is neat.
The 84 one I'm uneasy about. I was hoping we could get that bonus in a more accessible fashion. Please promise you won't do tailor from anywhere as a vet reward? I will pay you cash money for that, but be VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY disappointed if it's time-locked. -
It's not red because she's a villain?

Willpower for me. It's such a simple set-and-forget set that does everything you need it to do. It's possibly even too good. Other sets really don't stack up to do all the things that WP does. Not just in the survival department, but it has perks like end management, perception, and a complete set of status protection that most other sets can only dream of. It's always an option for any melee I make to just use WP as a quick go-to secondary. It's low maintenance and easy to improve.
For MM I'd say thugs, not that I don't love my demons (just wish they weren't so big and noisy).
Widows as an AT are just epics done right. Very good job on them.
Plant Control and Earth Assault are flipping amazing powersets, especially combined. -
You should ask in the official discussion thread, as only Black Scorpion or another redname can answer these.

Just a few notes:
+RES is useful depending on your powers. As Fire/Storm it will only change your epic armor and the +RES you get out of Steamy Mist. However, that can still be a nice perk.
+range is pretty useful, but it's better if you have cones. As you don't have many (Gale is meh) then it won't be quite as good. But it will still let you mez and heal from farther away.
Another note is that the rare/very rare are coming soon. The "core" branch has an end boost that changes from 33% to 45% (in addition to more ED piercing). If you still feel you have end woes you may plan for doing the core branch (the very rare core still has both RES and range) -
Quote:I'm excited to hear that we'll be getting that thing we correctly guessed! There has been some scarily accurate, as well as wildly inaccurate, predictions in this post.
Nice to see we hit a couple things the players are dreaming about. Sad we can't bring them everything they want.
But seriously, you couldn't give us that other thing that we guessed incorrectly? Worst devs ever!

Quote:I would run a whole lot more old content if it wasn't so irritating. Take your average level 45-50 arc blueside. It's at least 13 missions in a row, and it looks something like this:"Could be" but I would bet a sizable sum that it won't be. And so any discussion about that old content deserves to include "I had a defeat all in the Cake Cave" as part of the discussion.

Yeah. Fun stuff. Oh, and at least four of those missions are kill-alls. Probably outside too.
Without even revamping the missions or stories, just making it so you don't have to change zones constantly, do frequent kill-alls, or huge defeat missions (65 Carnies, 65 Nemesis... yeah!) would make people actually want to play old content again. It's amazingly frustrating to lead a team and have them zone after every single mission. -
Hmm, well my friend is a big Transformers fan -- maybe that's where it came from.

Also Praetorian mobs can be jerks concerning Beginner's Luck. Resistance and Destroyers run around with +DEF powers which make them annoying to hit even when your base hit rate is 89% thanks to Beginner's Luck. On top of already having 3-4x as many attacks as regular spawns for that level range, with heavy debuffs and high damage melee attacks, they really don't need to be hard to hit too.

This is one of those things that has existed since launch. People zoning or taking missions or just breathing in the wrong way will make your marker disappear.

Quote:Just for the record, Banes and Widows have Placate, you can slot an IO that puts placate in any sleep power, and anyone can earn a dayjob power that placates. There should be no problem with a Scrapper getting a power that placates, especially considering it doesn't actually hide (so no crit bonuses or anything). It would just drop aggro if the Scrapper is feeling overwhelmed.I was thinking of caltrops, since its already in the epic pools. And perhaps smoke flash, as apart from stalkers no other archetype has a placate power from their sets i.e. theres no precedent for it, but i don't see why they wouldn't keep that one apart from that.

Quote:What if I already bought pie?I am happy to see there are nearly zero players actually complaining about free stuff. It still baffles me there are any though.
WAITER: Sir, because you are such a good customer, management has decided to give you this slice of pie, free of charge. In fact, this pie will be free for you and your entire family and may be enjoyed each time you visit.
CUSTOMER: Why would I want free pie? I can PAY for pie! Cake is worth more to me. Can't I have cake? Or maybe lobster! I know you don't serve lobster but since you are giving stuff away for free why can't I have free lobster?

Quote:Oh I know; but redside you really only find them in mayhems. Mayhems which are easy to avoid, and which I don't really see people running and enjoying in that range, and which I myself stop doing mayhems to avoid. Throwing them in the new arc is about as fun as fighting Vanguard.Where do people get the idea that this is NEW?
PPD has been around since Mayhem missions got introduced! They've ALWAYS had glue grenades and nasty to-hit debuffs. Villains have been dealing with it for years.
It's not "balancing around IO's" it's just that PPD is a *very tough* enemy group.
So, the new redside arc? I run it on every new toon I bring out of Praetoria. I had fun running it on a 6-man superteam type thing as we left. I ran it on my new DS/Pain toon and my Huntsman. I even flashed back to it with another. The blueside one? I'm sorry, but even though it has a neat story and some really interesting new maps, it's absolutely ruined by the gang they make you fight. PPD at that range, with those powers, are not fun. At all. I don't care how good the story is, I'm not going to enjoy autohit debuffs and things that floor your hit rate and defense. I ran it twice (once ghosted everything, to get badges on main badger), and never again. -
Having played through this on a Scrapper, I can say for certain that autohit glue grenades and flashbangs that do -35% ToHit/DEF are not exactly melee friendly. If anything this would be way easier on mezzers and stealthers.

Quote:A couple pair of pants aren't much to tide over the naturals. You must be referring to... well, I'm not sure, actually. The chest pieces and big gloves, maybe? Because the Resistance boots and pants as well the PPD pants would work fine on Natural characters.
Resistance, PPD, Clockwork, and Overguard were pretty much all tech themed. I got a little use out of Sport (on a sports outfit, of all things) but that's about it. -
Quote:It saves you a whole mess of vanguard merit grinding, and the wait until level 35+. So it's not half bad.The vanguard pack? Wow! New vanguard themed gear? This is totally awesome and Oh it's just a global unlock of the vanguard gear... Um... Well... Thanks i guess? -_-
