I have been learning Python and how to develop for Google's App Engine. As an exercise I have created this over the weekend:
http://cohdigest.appspot.com/
What's working right now:- Atom feed
- Individual dev feeds
- Language filter
- Option to show author in title
- A scheduled task that searches for redname posts in a fixed interval - new posts should hopefully show up within 10-20 minutes
- All posts that show up on search have been saved - I'm currently only displaying the most recent 20 however.
- Prioritizing certain rednames when looking for new posts (BaB, I'm looking at you!)
- Caching of DB results (I hope it won't go over quota too soon >.>)
- Supporting timezones other than UTC
-
One look at this thread with GM disabled makes me glad this script exists.
-
Not seeing anything. Oh yeah, Greasemonkey is bigger than your alleged bigness
-
FYI: The villain link in the OP points to a jpg.
-
Quote:Try this:For the space between posts, as far as I can tell, removing that should be:
div#posts > div { padding-bottom: 0px; }
But that doesn't seem to work using my Developer Toolbar's edit CSS.
#posts > div { padding: 0 !important; margin-bottom: -1px; }
#posts > div > br { display: none !important; }
#posts { margin-bottom: 13px !important ;}

Quote:You should use the direct link instead: http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/4...mpossumdw4.jpg <--- right click, copy link locationThe problem is that the ImageShack address for my avatar (if I've done this right-- I put the avatar into a gallery of its own) doesn't contain www. and the format of the avatar feature here insists upon www.
The image is located here: http://img442.imageshack.us/i/avatarossumpossumdw4.jpg/ and pasting this address into the field provided doesn't work. Once I paste it and press enter, the address vanishes and the template for the start of the address returns.
Any further advice would be appreciated!

I honestly didn't think of that. If that is all you want, it should work just fine.
Stylesheets offers a bit more control over the appearances, however. For example, I really like the black table borders and the grey outline that surrounds the main table. -
Try mine, it works with Opera
(See sig for more details) -
For those of you not digging the gradients, check out my custom CSS for the new forum in my sig, or head over to this thread here: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=184310

Works for me. What version of FF and GM are you using?
-
The main thing this stylesheet does is to remove the majority of the background gradient images and to set the main font to Verdana instead of Arial.
It does not modify the original's background colors, and is thus compatible with both the Hero and Villain themes.
You can find it in my sig or by following this link to userstyles.org: http://userstyles.org/styles/7640
There you can either see the code in its entirety and install it with a single click, provided you are using FF w/ Stylish or Greasemonkey, or Opera.
With the board's Hero theme:
With the Villain theme instead:
Feedbacks are not just welcome, but desired!
I will be watching this thread and make improvements to the CSS. -
I might work on a custom color stylesheet as well, but from what I've seen so far, there's a good amount of inline CSS coded into the board, thus making CSS selecting a PITA. I'm sure you've seen the code on the two left TDs of each post.

Hey there, been using Stylish for awhile, and I just updated my own stylesheet on userstyle.org last night as well. Please take a look and let me know what you think of it! The same style sheet is compatible with both the Hero and Villain skins.
Edit: Link in sig!
Also, feel free to upload all custom style sheets to userstyle.org! One-click installs for Stylish is pretty awesome =D -
MULTIPASS!
Edit: I hate how it didn't let me post "multipass" in all caps in the first go. -

Re: constant-logout bug, are you on boards.cityofheroes.com? If not, try going there.
OT: Zloth, your update history page kicks butts -
Found the solution for this:
On the Statistic page, don't click on the "Find all posts by" link, instead, copy the link location, like this one for Castle:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/searc...duser&u=382899
Niviene:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/searc...duser&u=434499
Avatea:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/searc...duser&u=475122
Ocho:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/searc...duser&u=446810
Posi:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/searc...duser&u=320280
Babs:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/searc...duser&u=418012
These links will give you the results, but they are on a 15 sec timer. -
Request:
Please set a nice favicon for the board!
Also: please fix Dev Digest! -
Quote:Click on "English" and bookmark the resulting page instead - http://boards.cityofheroes.com/forumdisplay.php?f=547Is there a way to expand the front page to show sub-forums without clicking through to a category?

Finally, the death of <QR>!

Will Thunder Kick, Storm Kick, Dragon's Tail and Eagle's Claw all have alternate punching animations?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well BAB said the most of the new animations are Punches.
[/ QUOTE ]
Storm Kick, CAK, and Eagle's Claw do.
I didn't see anything for Thunder Kick, Crane Kick and Dragon's Tail. -

Specs are of course always subject to change.
Fire/Earth is going to be crazy.
(And yes, I meant Mud Pots) -
They are. Alternate animations are available for Storm Kick (Gut Punch), Cobra Strike, CAK, and Eagles Claws IIRC from what I saw at Comic Con.
-
I don't see it posted anywhere else, but if it's already been posted, my bad.
I was at Comic Con today and got to play with the new character creator.
That includes seeing the Earthen Assault powers, and they are
1. Stone Spears (4 sec rech, 2.1 sec animation)
2. Stone Mallet
3. Tremor
4. Hurl Boulder (8 or 10 sec rech, 2.5 sec animation)
5. Power Boost
6. Heavy Mallet
7. Seismic Smash
8. Mud Port
9. Fissure
