Is it worthwhile to do AE missions at low levels?
[/ QUOTE ]
The mission architect has missions that are just as difficult as what you'd experience normally. However, when you run into custom enemies, overpopulous bosses and AVs, as well as "high level" missions that automatically side-kick you, then you'll be an an extreme disadvantage. Low level enemies are incredibly easy when compared to the rest of the game.
Except for spectral daemons on the teens. Whoever designed those needs to be shut in a microwave. -
[ QUOTE ]
against AVs healing is actually a better form of mitigation than debuffs
[/ QUOTE ]
Another case in which this is in error: an ice/storm controller, for example, can overcome AV resistance to recharge debuffs by the sheer volume of -recharge available within the two sets. -

And if I recall right, Vahzilok poison darts are typed LETHAL, not Toxic for defense.
[/ QUOTE ]
There is no toxic defense type. Attacks that deal ONLY toxic damage will have just a positional type wrt/defense.

Care to revise your statement? -

My L41 Tanker, running only the Invulnerability toggles, runs out of endurance spamming only KO Blow. That's ONE attack, and he has triple slotted Stamina
[/ QUOTE ]
People might believe you if you stopping providing examples that are impossible without being attacked by a sapper.
When you make statements like that, there are two options. You're seriously mistaken, or you're lying. The rude dismissive comments you encounter are beause people choose not to accuse you of lying. However, your examples so strongly contradict what I, and others, have seen ingame, and can show with real numbers, that taking such claims as simple mistakes becomes increasingly difficult.
I absolutely hate the state of defender endurance efficiency. Yet, even I find it hard to read statements like "this Defender runs out of endurance using one very minimal toggle (the result would be the same if I turned it off), and spammed two 1st tier attacks, and ran out of endurance defeating ONE minion".
If you run out of endurance defeating one minion that isn't a sapper, the problem doesn't exist within the archetype, which makes your crusade somewhat ridiculous. -

One of my friends puts everything on the market for 1inf. He doesn't bother looking at the last bids and doesn't like fees, so he lists everything for 1.
[/ QUOTE ]
Fascinating, considering the fees show up anyway. -
[ QUOTE ]
I may just not notice it.
[/ QUOTE ]
I used to not care one way or the other, mostly since I solo more often than team. I got a sonic/sonic defender into the teens who had enough toggles running that he was sitting at 0 net recovery, or just a small amount worse. Any rebuffing or attacking would require blue insps, or for me to turn off toggles. Yet, if so much as one person died (hey, it's the teeens), I could do whatever I wanted and the blue bar would keep increasing.
I don't doubt people can't notice it, but I don't think it's because it's actually useless. -
[ QUOTE ]
you will rarely notice [vigilance] at all, even in teams.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm curious, at what point do you consider an endurance discount noticable? Example. When I team with masterminds (ITF, usually), I'm almost guaranteed 400% endurance discount multiple times throughout the mission. When you're saying it isn't noticable, are you saying this because no amount of endurance matters to your defenders, or because you don't think (s)he will notice the sudden inability to lose endurance? -

Wait......some players don't play very well? i had no idea! what should we do?
[/ QUOTE ]
Laugh at them, kick them while they are down, and then post about how much we hate newbies on the forums!
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, because all bad players are newbies. -

All this fuss about brutes and tanks, and the only sideswitching that interests me is playing defenders redside, and corrupters blueside. -
[ QUOTE ]
How the person constributes to the team is your business. How the person builds their toon shouldn't be.
[/ QUOTE ]
There are tankers without status protection. There are controllers without holds. There are defenders with no contributing abilities beyond a PBAE heal and leadership toggles. While I think the lack of speedboost among kineticists is a fairly minor infraction as far as that goes, there is a point where a teammate's power choices are the business of the rest of the team. Where that point exists can obviously be debated, but I think this thread has done a good job at pointing out the types of people that throw a fuss about that sort of thing in-game.
I wouldn't mind inviting a controller without holds, for example, but kicking one when being harrased by tsoo sorcerers or BP shaman isn't something I'd wince at, either. It's much harder for me to imagine speedboost being that vital, though. -

That is all. -
This thread needs some serious zen.

If you doubt me try explaining the situation to someone you know. Don't leave out the part where people are just supposed to know what the devs think is right and wrong.

Don't forget to include the fact that there are characters that still have an incompleted "meow farm" active that haven't been punished.
Do you actually know anyone that was banned or had a character removed? Or are you just... paranoid? -

If you're out-damaging half the scrappers you meet, you're likely..
* Not meeting a lot of scrappers.
* IO'd out.
* Just playing with bad scrappers.
[/ QUOTE ]
The average scrapper being played isn't the kind that solos arch villains. The most min/max'd tanker absolutely outperforms average scrappers in every way. The reverse is also true, though. -
There are some people, like me, who only care for the mission architect for its challenges. The stories are sadly irrelevant to gameplay, and the rewards are fleeting. If I don't have to think for a moment to succeed, I just don't give a [censored].
Although, I'll note that for the brief periods that I've published missions, I noted their unusually high difficulty. Anyone that doesn't play through his/her arc with more than one character to determine the difficulty is doing the targeted audience a disservice. -
The confuse is a mag3, which affects minions and lieutenants. It can stack, so it can affect bosses too, but will do so rarely since it's not a guaranteed confuse. Enhancing arctic air for confuse is very effective.

I'm running 89% on my scrapper. Based on what Seize says Tankers get higher def resist numbers so they can hit the cap as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
Odd. I have 77.26% defense debuff resistance on my shield tanker with grant cover and double-stacked Active Defense, and 55% enhancement in Battle Agility. 58.13% resistance otherwise.
edit: Although, that is at 40. I forgot the defdebuff resistance scales with level. -
If you consider those alternate dimension comic series as analogous to side-switching, then yes, it probably is about side-switching.
edit: going off of the praetorian earth nonsense. -

I've solo tanked upwards of 50 mobs in the ITF all the time after the ITF is done. This included the EBs and Bosses in the canyon.

I've seen Elvis. After he died. He's living in South America with Tupac. What?
[/ QUOTE ]
... couldn't resist. -
[ QUOTE ]
For soloing/small groups CE is fairly worthless given the endurance it costs to run pre-Stamina
[/ QUOTE ]
For such low-level soloing, chilling embrace is comparable to frozen armor and glacial armor combined as it affects all damage types, and costs less endurance than the two together. That, and glacial armor doesn't come until 18, so hoarfrost and chilling embrace are a low-level ice tanks only mitigation to n.energy and energy damage until then (see: clockwork, CoT, Vahzilok bosses, skulls bosses, Mu, outcasts). Mitigation to all other damage types is a bonus, especially those not covered by the armors like toxic and psi (see: vahzilok, arachnos, hydra, CoT, lost).
TL;dr: What? -
[ QUOTE ]
The addition of Shield Charge which is often used makes it the set use much more Endurance.
[/ QUOTE ]
When I hit buildup, then 1-shot a group full of minions for 13.52 endurance, I'm not left with a sense of how endurance intensive shield defense is.
That isn't meant as a disagreement to any comparison between the primaries... It's just that not all endurance costs are endurance problems. -

LostHalo: Take your Stone Tanker (lets assume normal mix of yellow and orange IO sets) and do Romi with a group composed of Blasters/Scrappers.
Then you'll see what I mean by unsupported.

Considering he's been defeated by a solo invulnerability scrapper, I find your lack of faith disturbing.
