I loved the Tumbler, mainly because it had such bad-*** screen presence. Shame it blew up.

Holy crap, no one has mentioned Hot Fuzz?
It's a sort of parody/homage to just about every cop/action movie ever made. Just about every cliché of the genre is played up to humorous effect. It has a fantastic cast (Timothy Dalton, Jim Broadbent), great dialog, and perhaps the shortest car chase in movie history. Also, cameos by Cate Blanchett and Peter Jackson. -
I'm... cautiously optimistic about the concept of monthly letters to the community. I'm not opposed to a regular drip-feed of hints about upcoming stuff. The news that the final Alpha boost tiers are coming soon does't surprise me, though it is welcome.

Quote:Ah, of course. 'Alpha strike' is the Navy's version of the term 'strike package', which usually refers to a group of aircraft with different capabilities and armaments deployed on a single attack mission. Not in this case.
The name is actually based on the definition of "Alpha Strike."
I remember alpha strikes from my Mechwarrior days. That basically meant firing every single weapon equipped on your 'Mech at once to inflict maximum damage. Good times. -
Fancy king and queen outfits, scabbards, whips (!), giant player controlled robots (!?), an alien spaceship tracking down someone furry, perhaps an animal counterpart to Ninja Run, a clash with the Praetorian Devouring Earth, and the Coming Storm. That's what I got.

With Alignment merits, I now start in the 20s, picking up low level Miracle or Numina procs as soon as possible. I've given frankenslotting a try and gotten good results on the cheap, but I save that for the mid 30s where the enhancement values are better.

Awesome runs. Hope I didn't slow things down too much.

I'm rather partial to the Discovery Channel myself.

Agreed. It's a good looking piece that fits well with lots of things. -
These days you can send it via email. You just have to make sure you're sending it to your global chat handle (include the @ sign).

I didn't even recognize her. Her voice sounded familiar and I had a feeling she was from a sitcom, but the blondeness threw me off.

That's a name I haven't seen in a long time. Welcome back.

Paragon Wiki says they don't, and I don't have a Widow high enough in-game to check, so I will defer to the Wiki in this matter.

I managed to avoid Stryke-Force altogether. My early days are rather hazy, but I remember a few SGs:
1. The Thrill Kill Kult. This was way back in my first year of playing. I joined with my brother.
2. THE BEE HIVE. Good people in here, I seem to recall.
3. Phrost's Phierce Phreedom Phighter Phorce. Much more recent. At one point I had most, if not all of my active toons here. I still have a few there, but sadly few people are ever on.
4. I started up a private SG to have something to do. Learned the ins and outs of base building.
5. Renaissance de la Veritas. I took a lengthy hiatus a few years back, and when I returned I started TFing in earnest. I wound up on teams with RdlV folks a number of times and realized "Wow, they're good." Several hundred Manticores later, I was invited to join. They're great people who have enhanced my appreciation of speed TFs, /e dance6 and the game as a whole. -
In my experience the population has increased since Going Rogue came out. I've seen quite a few resubs and a bunch of new people showing up. The promise of actual end-game content will help with player retention as well.

Quote:I've already got a Fire/Dark Corr at 33, it's just getting around to playing it that's the tough part. I also had a wee lil' Widow at level 11, then I realized I'd misspelled her name. Memo to self: It's 'operative' not 'oprerative'.Hope you don't mind if I chime in on this, but dooooo eeeeet
Try a Fire/Dark. It's not a traditional 'support' character since you don't have any targeted ally buffs to maintain or have to watch healthbars or anything.
All of your contribution to a team is tied into your whole being-an-unstoppable-engine-of-destruction deal. So in a way, Fire/Darks are like Scrappers, except good
