Delph lives both at the Elfling base and in an appartment in Steel Canyon.
Darlis used to have a house in Steel Canyon, which was destroyed in a particularly catastrophic story, she's currently bunking up at the base and looking for alternative accomodation. Ideally without an unreliable house mate.
Glide and Zen Elfling both camp at the base, they're not known enough to be able to badger the city for housing yet.
Sic sleeps in The Tangle, and works at the SEC base creating all manner of monsters to taunt the heroic Elflings with.
Viscous lives at SEC, she's looking for accomodation, and has her eye on a house in St Martial.
Fade is a professional assassin she lives close to the mark. She will drop in on her creator (Sic Elfling) to harrass him, but she's very nomadic.
Booble has an island in the Indian Ocean, which is her real home. In Paragon City she sleeps in the HU base, or crashes at a friends house over in Kings Row.
Kliana roams the earth, she's a delightful creature and so full of energy that sleeping is of no concern. She may kip down if the need takes her, and it's always at the base, but most of her life is spent shouting at folks and hitting bad guys.
Both Paat and Deus Elfling are proud of their ELU base so bunk down there, though for Deus sleep is just a formality.
Uberdextrous is effectively just starting out his villainous career so sleeps where he falls. He would stop at the Discordia base but it stinks of pancakes and burnt flesh. He has no desire for alternate housing, and cant wait to be able to dangle Lord Recluse from the Tangle by his ears.
Dogsox has a horde of Ninjas to keep control of, he isn't allowed to sleep. Their base is at ANBU, but they rarely stop there.
Menacing Moo feels like a failure, she would sleep at the ELU base where she is a guest, but she feels that park benches are all she deserves.
Silicon Carnie is very new, and metallic, sleep hurts. Though she does have her eye on a house in Founders Falls (she loves the decorating) she has a long long way to go until she has the money for it. -
*Puts Golden Girl into room 102 with a cup of animated tea, for not being angry enough*
I'll put debt into Room 101, people complained when it was crippling; people complain now when they're able to actually work it off....actually: forget debt I'm gonna put people who complain into room 101, which I guess includes me......*steps into the room...without a cup of animated tea*

lol yeah, and to add to Mother's own rant I want to be able to ride every vehicle that goes past, at the moment they're like blocks of ice on a bizarre horizontal luge...lemme ride em....!
Or they go in the room.....!!!!!!!11!!
I want to put all the citizens into the room too: in mayhem missions they're impervious to harm, so what do they need heroes for, villains are powerless to damage them? Yet Heroside they're always in trouble....you cant be hurt: just walk away....!!
11!!!!11!
!11!!11!!

Hehe yeah the SFs are infinitely better designed than the TFs....saying that though there are some fun ones. I wouldn't give up Ernesto Hess for all the Inf in the world, but the Shadow Shard TFs do need some loving.
My gripe, the one thing I'd consign to Room 101 CoX would be imitation heroes. You see them about all over the place: people making characters exactly like their favourite superhero from the comics, but with enough peripheral difference that Marvel wont have a heart attack. This game has the greatest character creation system when compared to all the current MMOs on the market, and I can understand being inspired by your favourites, but please dont just rip them off. Have a bit of imagination: bring your own touch to the Hero (or villain I hasten to add so late into the rant) that you're about to take through the levels.
Ooh and: Broadcast yammering.....someone decides to have a conversation with the person standing next to them, using Broadcast chat in a public zone. Okay I can understand in an instance where it's all yours; plus we've all made the mistake I'm sure where Broadcast is selected and you've accidentally sent your team message to that instead. If it happens, and I've done it myself, I just say "oops" or "Sorry folks" and revert to team. Yet there are folks who will have whole conversations across entire zones, they get shouted at inevitibly, but if it could be stopped dead...Yeah Devs, you heard me: drop everything you're doing and make the chat system idiot proof, I demand it.....!!!!! :P
lol seriously though: I think that's all I can dredge from my brain atm. -
Ahh good ol PuGs...they're great...generally.
There is the odd time when a PuG has resulted in frustration, but I always have a quick excuse ready to leave in the advent of such things.
If I'm teaming with friends and I'm the leader (as I usually am thanks to my Girlfriend's phobia of stars) I'll try to fill up the team with Random folk...and again I've rarely been disapointed.
As long as peeps ask beforehand I'll happily join -
*eyes still spinning*
Ooh so that's where that contact lens went....*falls over* -
Brilliant idea, cant imagine it would cause to many problems...

Mind you I still demand a double XP week because of this

YAY: me too, I demand a double Xp weekend for having the best devs in the MMO business :P
Seriously: I think this is a bit of a storm in a teacup, and Alphane's being bludgeoned a bit here. I think the warning was spot on, delivered fine and with enough info given where I could find it. The fact that I'm overanalysing a warning sent once in a blue moon tells me there really isn't much of an issue here tbh :P
Though Double Xp cures all ills, as Mary Poppins once said. -
Hmm no I dont think it's rude, rude would be just booting everyone off the server the instant the problem was identified. 5 Mins is enough time to get yourself sorted out (unless you're on a timed mission of course...) without allowing the problem to get out of hand.
As for giving all the imformation in one message, again: no. All I want to know is that the servers are coming down, it's a simple message that they can just get out quickly. If I want further info I'll come here where peeps will keep us informed. -
Your Flying dreams have become Superjumping Dreams.
You refer to currency as "Inf" -
Awww Curses, *puts Coke Zero back on shelf*

Hehe and if you wanted to do a true test you'd need an example of where the market would be WITHOUT farming, compared to the current market.
It's all just speculation no matter how you word it; still waiting for a proper Rune price though..... -

Talking of which - has anyone ever SEEN a bus?

They're the big secret for I13. I13 being the route number...
As for ingame adds: 150k people is still a lot of people and advertisers hunger for all the juicy revenue from anywhere they can get it.
They do tend to think in terms of Demographics and generalisations BUT CoH is seen as a "casual" MMO: a lot of folks dip in and out at their whim. I'd say this means Norcal, should they need to, can justify any advertisement by saying the audience is the general public rather than specifically "Computer Nerds" or "Comic Geeks" or whatever weird bracket you want to tie people up with. Ads in this game will never break the game so they're welcome, when they come here that is :P
The majority of adverts dont sway me, then again the adverts that I see (usually in the cinema) are pap...but a lot of it works subliminally. You may not overtly go out and purchase a chocolate bar because you've seen an advertisement, however I'll bet that when you fancy one those adverts will aid your choice. -
Ick Scientific Theory is bad, worst I've seen though (at least Villainside) is Rune, which can hit 50k some days. I have 10 on a permanent order at 10k each and have yet to purchase a single one :S
26-34 you say.....hmmmmm Oroborous looms... -
Would help when the mouse needs recharging and you HAVE to click that glowie too....happily /signed

Cant beat the Coop
I get this with a lot of games, for instance SYL's album: Alien always reminds me of HL2, and Sikth always reminds me of Return to Castle Wolfenstein.....
With CoH I have such an eclectic mix of songs my playlist shifts about all over the place, but depending on what I'm doing I'll usually come down to something by either Devin Townsend or something by Marillion or Within temptation...though I've been listening to a lot of Children of Bodom recently which is good for pounding mobs to
Oh and of course "I dont wanna be a Superhero" by the Roadrunner All Stars, great song and it really suits play on CoV -

Adding to the search for team leader. I think it would be good if when searching for a team you could see the team leader and who are in the team. This would help so you know there is no point sending a tell to a leader because the team is already full
[/ QUOTE ]
This would be great and would mean you have to generate more inventive excuses than "teams full" when you dont fancy inviting someone to the team, for whatever reason (not necessarily that the person asking is bad: sometimes you're just happy the way the team is)
- Logout to char select would be a godsend
- Everything Valkryst suggested would be spot on
- another uni in Villains would be ideal
or as someone suggested just an old building would be great, even if the conceit is that the guy's just setting up a business but villains keep breaking in to use his stuff. Put a vault in there too :P
- oh and the hinted at recipe storage.....
...please -
yeah I got a lot from defeating Lord Recluse with my high level Villain. I think Sic was only 48 or so but it was in the range of 200k as a reward. Imagine that on double xp weekend....*sigh*

Ooh I like this idea, how about:
Happy slap: Squishy power, major taunt, when activated it'll take a screenshot of the event and put it in the screenies folder of the entire team. Guaranteed to result in the death of the power weilder, though they will deserve it.
Devil bangers: Activating this power will throw a devil banger onto the floor knocking foes and team members down alike. Foes not knocked down will have the Shakefist emote play out
Leaflet campaign: The pen truly is mightier than the Nova with this Ranged AoE. A fountain of propoganda and useful contact numbers could cause minions and underlings to be confused, must take a tohit roll to make sure it's not written on toilet roll...toilet roll leaflet campaigns will instead enrage the whole group.
Hairnet: only usuable while asleep, protects against hair thieves and a degree of cold/fire damage, provided it's administered by flying foes.
Paper bag with a face drawn on it: high level stealth, nothing could possibly see past this disguise...not even Rikti drones. -

2) When crafting a standard IO at a workbench they are often lost in the list of recipes and you have to scroll down to find the one you want. A tab could be added that lists just recipes we have in our inventory.

Dont we have this already with the little radio button marked "only items that I own" or whatever....or am I misreading what you put
Either is likely, seeing as it's unfeasably hot and thusly my brain is slowing down....love the auction idea though -
They sell them at Play.com too, again the stock fluctuates but at least you dont have to pay postage.

Aye make it opt in, and have it as a percentage, in fact if it filters out the team/build fascists all the better.
To be frank if you want to check such things you can gather this percentage information from the current system and stack it all up yourself. It'll take time, but I'm sure there are folks who will do it.
As far as I'm concerned the argument for this is greater than against. So what if a few folks will assess you and refuse: whack a note on them to say they're an ignorant fool then go team with someone who's normal. -
I dont see the problem with being able to swap genders, it doesn't affect gameplay in any way, appart from in the contextual dialogue, and seeing as it's an act of activating the redundant body types for your character it should be easy enough to implement. Plus, as has been mentioned: in the creative area of the game, namely RP and the many stories that get written, you could implement the change in whatever way you choose.
