  1. IIRC, the devs don't want to do puzzle stuff. Too difficult to strike a balance between "so easy it's boring" and "too hard to do" over such a wide and diverse population.
  2. Same thing I said in the other thread.

It's a video game. "Chance for failure", no matter how small, is pretty much a requirement.
  3. He must have self-esteem issues.
  4. Something like the files we have for costumes/power customizations stored on our computers would be good for this. You could even share with others, then.

Tying a General Discussion thread into this one, how do you say "Caer" in "Bannog"? Care? K-eye-r? Chair? Ch-eye-r? Keer? XD

(I'm well aware "Caer Bannog" is not a Latin phrase so it doesn't actually tie directly in to that thread. )
The enchanter ("Some call me...Tim!") pronounces it "Kay-ar" (sounds like "liar"). Honestly I had to look up the spelling. For years I've been spelling it Cair, merely because I never saw it written.
  6. Maybe you should just fight him with a toon called the Caer Bannog and then it will fit!

    Run away! Run away!
  7. If anything, a lot of the AI got "smarter" when they fixed some of the things they were supposed to be doing all along, but had been broken.
  8. Note for Tango: You can also have a personal SG with base that includes all of your characters on that server (on one side, villain or hero), but you'll need some help inviting them all from someone else (you invite them, spend a little while logging on and off to have them invite your toons, then have them quit...or stay, as you choose). You get bonus prestige of 20K per character in your group up to 15, but if said character quits or otherwise leaves the roster and it brings you below 15, you lose that character's bonus prestige.
  9. The temp power you get from missions? Yes.

    The Vet power? No.

    Blackwand.

    EDIT: Curses, foiled again!

    col·lo·qui·al

    2. involving or using conversation.

EDIT: Aw, poo. Forbin's was better.
  12. I was hoping it wouldn't be that blatant, but I fear it is.

I would have liked it if you didn't know which choice would take you which way, myself, and had to decide on your own from the actual text what might happen.
  13. My usual clue is if they're named something like that and still standing in the spawn spot down the stairs from Ms. Liberty.
  14. True enough, but that was the only reason that came to mind at the moment. I'm sure more would come to mind if I gave it more thought.

But neither of the suggestions do what I don't want, so it's not really an issue with these two.

And just for the record, I usually don't email them, I just dump them in a base bin and switch characters and pick them up.

    Refunds?

Paid time? I think you have zero chance of that, since you played. They have been giving some people refunds for GR pre-purchase, but it mostly seems to hinge on not having used Dual Pistols or Demon Summoning.

But, it really doesn't cost anything to talk to support, so you're free to give it a shot.
  17. I don't care about their safety, I just want those targets for our base (hopefully targetable)!

I don't think I've ever seen those before.

Edit quote tags? Why on Earth would anyone do that?

  19. Thanks for the details, and, yes, that's pretty much what I'm talking about.
  20. I'm for either of those, as long as they don't perma-hide stuff you can't use. I often just have my richer characters buy stuff for lowbies/poor characters and send them to them.

Solution to character names is to append globals (which would be optional in the chat display, just like CO). As far as SG's go, dunno.
I don't like that because it's a solution to problem that doesn't exist. To me, the biggest answer to server merging in the obvious one that's been mentioned several times. In the MMO community, it means "near death; don't even bother signing up".

Yeah - go with that - make NPC and diffrent type of build looks user side contral then a dumb computer can run with no issuse and a super set can run with a full city
Yeah, because making several different versions of things everywhere...no sweat at all for the devs. Should be done by next weekend.

Non-sarcastic version: That'd be way way too much work for the devs for little return.
