  1. Hee, that was my favorite in high school, to the point that I was able to recite the lyrics to the whole album back then.

Well, not Apostrophe' of course...it has no lyrics...
  2. If they did it that way, the most common response would be a link to the merged thread instead of the pseudo abuse we now give them.

Wouldn't argue, but I seem to recall seeing we'd be getting a few slots unlocked with GR. Not many, though.
They haven't said how many but they've definitely said "some". That's why I'm not buying my last three on Victory until I find out how many freebies I'll be getting.

I didn't ask that they take it away from YOU. I asked if I could take it away from MYSELF. I asked for more control over my own gaming experience. Not to dictate to others how they must adjust to my preferences.
I highly doubt that environmental things like that are ever going to be controlled individually.

Would it be a good idea to use the email system to pay base rent ? I was wondering this while running mishes in Nerva last night . Currently we pay base rent in Port Oakes of course , but it would be nice to not have to go all the way back there to do this , don'tcha think ? Just wondering , it's not a huge deal just kinda tedious .
    You're crazy but!

Sorry, couldn't resist. Sounds like an OK idea to me, but it might be a hassle for the devs if the two systems don't already communicate somehow.

Honestly, at this point I'd rather see a Necrothread than a thread like this--an old thread under the guise of a new one.
That's why I don't understand the Necro rules here. Anyplace else I go using this board system, there would be ONE thread about this, and every time someone started a new one, it would get merged with the other.

Oooh, no, I like that glare. But if they lengthen the day, it won't happen as often at least.

I can't help but disagree with that statement, even if Devs made it; most of the visuals that are used on several of my characters are practically required to make the 'look' for my characters, since I build them to 'blend', or better, with the abilities.

Even if they made a 'No Visual' option for every ability in the game, they'd have a ton of people using the effects. I wouldn't be the only one, I'm sure, who thinks it's neat to have such customizable abilities.
I have a few I'd like to turn off (mostly some Natural origins), but no no no I would not turn EVERYONE off.
  9. Ah, the division's already there, then? Good to know, thanks.

And, yeah, I did finally notice that some of the powers can be shut off. Just my luck of the draw that I use few of those power sets (or I'd have probably noticed).

I will agree that once I started noticing it, half hour days seem incredibly short, especially with only ten minutes of that night (I guess it really is always summer in Paragon). They could double that easily and most people would never even notice.
  11. This again? /unsigned. Veteran Rewards is not broken and in no need of fixing.

    downtime?

I keep wondering what's specifically ailing Virtue. Since I17 hit, it seems to be down still after all the other servers have come back after patch/maint.

    downtime?

Dunno. Doesn't seem to be anything in announcements or on the server status page. Don't seem to be downloading a patch, either.

    Hope that helps.
  14. Personally, I like stuff to be multi-zone. Being stuck in one zone bores me. I've always liked running all over the city, even back in the day with limited travel powers and that horrible end drain from fly.

But, as has been disclaimered before, I'm a little strange.

    :D

    Yup, that's right.

    Wut?

    Walk to Contacts

I suppose it would make sense redside. Blueside it sounds too much like bribery.
  17. Eh, people are often just stupid and ill-informed, though. The metal skin is the only thing connecting this toon to Colossus (OK, he's a brunette, too). Everyone with metal skin isn't Colossus. In fact, the outfit far more resembles Astro City's Steel-Jacketed Man, but even that's not that close.
  18. The compartmentalization of missions to one zone is both the strength and the weakness of CoV. It's easier to get around and complete, but staying in the same dreary zone mission after mission can become tedious.
  19. As far as I know, the RNG randomizes with every defeat. It's the only way that would make sense. Is there a citing on this otherwise?

    Day/Night Cycle

Ooo, good point, although I must point out that the Ghosts are available in some instanced missions blueside.
  21. Hmmm...only have a few I actually play, but let's take a look.

The Masque of Red Death (Robots/Poison MM) - A sentient poison/electronics combo. As the only member of his race, his only goal is to create more like himself, but makes do with technological substitutes for now. Considers the "meat things" as fodder to be used and manipulated, or destroyed. Despises the "meat things" emotions, but is completely oblivious that he has the same ones. I'd give him about a 7. He'll do ruthless things, but his main goal is survival and procreation.

Discourtesy (EM/Inv Brute) - A magical construct, the opposite of my main Decorum. Started out as a somewhat brainless Bizzaro type but eventually evolved into a Lex Luthor-type business tycoon (intended from the beginning). He'll be switching sides to Hero to get a good reputation, but it's all a trick and will eventually return to the redside. I'll give him a 6. He's more self-centered and power hungry than "cackling evil".

Lola de Ville (EM/Dark Stalker) - Sold her soul to become the Devil's Secretary (oops, sorry..."Personal Assistant"). Murders and destroys mostly out of boredom and fun. She ain't at all nice. She's a 10, definitely.

Hermione Brinkman (Robots/Traps MM) - Jack "Decorum" Brinkman's long lost little sister from another dimension. She came to our dimension seeking vengeance on Decorum's father for seemingly abandoning her mother. She'll be switching sides once she learns that what she "knows" is a bit in error. Probably a 2.
  22. I have a couple of characters I'd like that on.

On the other hand, I suspect the PvPers would like it all off so no one could tell what they were doing or what they had running. And I wouldn't be surprised if that's part of the decision not to allow turning things off.

    Samuel_Tow needs to update:

My burning hatred for Atlas Part notwithstanding, I honestly can't say a ramp is much to complain about, especially considering you have to climb two flights of stairs and go through one door and two halls and one open doorway just to get to your contact, then do it all over again to get back up, at which point you're given a mission in the far corner where enemies are +4 to +5 to you, only to find out you can't actually get there because you're blocked by a 20-foot-tall wall-for-no-reason and you can't go back to the terrace you jumped off of because there are no stairs leading up.
You do know with I17, they don't do that to you any more, right? The starting arcs have all been adjusted to not drag you a million miles away and in over your head level-wise.
  24. I don't play villains much. I only got my first over 20 after the Surgeons came out.

EDIT: Heroes are probably my focus. Looking at my group pic in my siggy, I notice I don't have any of my villains represented. Probably time for a new one, anyway. This one's about a year and a half old and I have 17 more Victory characters that aren't there (and some that are don't look like that any more).
