Quote:I use that a lot on my rad. My debuff anchor dies and I want to start it somewhere else (as those close to me are likely already debuffed and half dead from combat anyway).
ilconke wonders:
Can you tell me what situation you come across where you need to target the enemy past a defeated target with target next instead of the nearest target. -
Quote:I do use the default on Tab and it has always, and still does, work for me as you describe.
Master-Blade gets my verify:
Personally, I've never seen target_enemy_next act strangely. I use it every day and have not noticed any changes, neither before nor after i17's release.
It has always treated a dead target as your current targeted distance, and targets the next furthest enemy from that distance. Even if you have an ally targeted, pressing target_enemy_next will target the foe that is the next furthest distance away from your current target, regardless if there are enemies inbetween you and your current ally target. The only time killing a foe should reset to the closest foe is if the foe does not leave a dead body (ghosts or exploding robots) and leaves you with "no target" upon defeat.
The only recent change I have noticed is the announced "can not target something while it's rezzing", which will reset you to "no target" if you have it targeted when it decides to get back up.
Additionally, it will only consider foes that are visible on your screen. Even target_enemy_near wont target a closer foe behind you if you cannot see it.
However, I do not use the default keys for targeting either. I do have separate keys for both target_enemy_near and target_enemy_next, and use both frequently in different circumstances. I even have a 3rd key set up for custom name targets, and a 4th key set up to quickly re-bind the 3rd key to a different named target. -
Quote:Nice to have it unlocked for when you're right there and it's handy, though.
StarGeek shows alternatives:
Both the RWZ Quartermaster and the Midnighter Club Store are better places to get SOs of level 35+, as neither requires you to do a mission for them first. -

You might get some help here, but the real "experts" hang out over there. -

Yup. Frankly, anyone who's saying it's "required" is likely more a victim of thinking their play style is "the best" or "the right" way. And they'd be wrong. It's just "their way".

Quote:8 foot pedestrians? Possibly not. 7 foot plus pedestrians? Commonplace. The civilians in Paragon are all unduly large. Contacts, too. Decorum is 6' 5" by the scaler and is often shorter than people on the street.
Captain_Electric doesn't look closely:
Don't be embarrassed, Paragon City is weird in that it can be very familiar (cities, pedestrians, traffic lights), and yet very alien (sometimes literally so). You'll never see 8-foot pedestrians walking around, nor gangs like the Hellions or Skulls, as they get their powers from sources other than serums. -
And even if they can't hold it the same...so what? They can hold it adequately.
-
Although maybe they should be. I see a white guy with dreads, I start looking around for the Phish concert.

Penny Preston. You'll have to do a simple mission to unlock her store.
EDIT: D'oh, they're right. But this info will help you when you're looking for your 35s at least.
EDIT II: Except that apparently you already knew this. Well, I'm useless tonight. -
I liked AVG for a while until it became (as noted above) every bit as bad of bloatware as Norton or Macaffee. I'm finding Avast just fine now. I recently dropped Ad Aware for Malwarebytes, too, as Ad-Aware was getting all bloaty and intrusive, too. I also use Spybot-Search and Destroy and Hijack This.

Adblock Plus and Noscript here. Also at home I have a tab manager add-on that works better for me than Firefox's default, but I can't remember the specific name.

As a suggestion in one of the art threads...possibly.
As a matter of course letting everyone do what they will in the costume maker...extremely highly unlikely. All the parts have to pass through the devs to make sure they work on all the types and sizes and don't clip, etc. It would be next to impossible for them to code what you're asking for, and take far more time and resources than would make it "worth it" to them. -

Bad enough that EU kind of sounds like "ew".

Quote:Actually the biggest, and to my mind most important, difference is Gauntlet.
Duncan_Frost missed something:
Oh yes, I agree a Tank does have some tools that make him better (bigger HP pool etc.) but there's not a ton of difference between, for example, a soft-capped Scrapper and a soft-capped Tanker, other than the Tanker lacking damage. -
Beta Ray Bill from Thor was based on a horse (particularly the skull), but I don't think that's exactly what people are thinking of.

Hmph, no need to be a ***** about it.
EDIT: Darnit...I should have figured that'd get censored. -
I will agree readily to this. There are jerks out there, but the cool people are far far in the majority. Jerks just stick out more in the memory (and make for better stories
).

This looks like fun! I'll take a stab at it!

Alternatively, if you have masses of them and don't want to do all that cut and pasting back and forth with the game running, you can go to Titan Network and download Glycerine. This will auto download your bio, as well as other info like name, level, powersets, badges, etc. Then they'll be available online any time you want to see/use them.
