I wonder if this is related to the bug I had in the AE the other day, where it took several tries to get the right-hand pistol of the DP blaster I was making appear.
-
You really can't fix that. Being creative takes time. Throwing up an exploit really doesn't.
-
I'll have you know that just as couple of weeks ago, I faced off against Scirocco, Ghost Widow AND Capt. Mako SOLO!
Of course, we won't mention that they pounded me into the pavement multiple times until I finally had to leave. -
Golden Girl is one of a kind.
And we give thanks daily for that fact. -

Forbin_Project isn't a squirrely as it appears:
Working as intended no reason to change anything.
Making the ticket system "more appealing" will just encourage the exploiters. AE's not supposed to be about the rewards at all, they're just there so you can actually go from 1-50 there as advertised. -
Quote:Given my druthers, I think I'd choose "More Difficult", merely because I like them spawning all over all the time.
TwigDeath shows both the right and left hand:
If there was a reward increase, I think a spawning and difficulty change (less spawning, more difficult) could be implemented to compensate. Particularly the 'More Difficult' portion, because you're right, get one well slotted Rad in there and it's over.
I7ish, I used to drag Paladin down from High Park to the tram to try and get people to fight him (NOT griefing and pulling him ONTO people) just because he was fun, and it was easier to get people to fight him if they got off the tram and went "Holy crap!" -
Ah, ah, ah, I see. Don't worry, just my flatulent brain at work again.
Move along, nothing to see here. -
HAHA! Great job as usual, but...
Quote:I thought you said you were an NFL fan.Steelclaw contradicts himself:

I'm sure it can be, but them's the breaks of PvP zones.
And, yes, I most certainly would join in, and not apologize. -
Finally got off work and got to watch this.
Nice. I think if I was "new", this would get me at least a little interested. Who is the blue guy with the faux-hawk? He seems to get a lot of play in these vids. Is he a dev?
And, really Matt? Vij-i-LAHN-tay???? -
I said that's what you said, when you said it there saying it.
What I'm saying is your generalization is too broad and really has nothing to do with whether your swearing or not. It has to do with poorly using swearwords. I swear quite a bit (depending on your threshold of profanity) without it doing anything bad to my arguments.
It's just an ancient adage that stemmed from a time when "nobody" swore "in polite company" and if you did you must be someone of the "lower classes" **sniff** Language became much more relaxed than that about 40 years ago.
Or to put it another way, you do exactly the same damage to your argument misusing regular words as you do misusing profanity. -
Before-hand you're unlikely to get. There's too many times they've tried to implement something and it fails and goes "back in the box" for more work. And that's not even counting the times they've had to actually delete patches after a few hours on Live.

Quote:Key word here being "badly". I'm perfectly willing to accept mild clipping (and do, there's a ton of it), but "badly"? No, I have to agree with the seeming dev position that nothing should clip "badly".
Ice_Ember talks up a qualifier:
If costume pieces clip badly with other pieces, then the person making the combination needs to do a better job. Not everything goes well together. The problem is certain pieces were removed because some people could not make adjustments and made combinations which clipped. -
Quote:It should be unlockable only by beating Blue Steel.
Shadow State notes:
Actually it's not, It's similar to but not identical to Blue Steel's shields and and is even still usable in AE. As I recall one of the devs said it was added to the game to be made into an unlockable, they just hadn't put in the unlock yet.

Quote:You do realize you're saying that it becomes your responsibility when someone uses extortion on you, don't you?
CactusBrawler matches crime for crime:
It's not quite the same thing, because the Joker has told Batman why he's doing it.
In your situation it would be like your stalker telling you "Every time you wear a pony tail, I'll kill people" and you then saying "Well **** that I like wearing a pony tail".
You could wear your hair a different way, Batman could help people another way, he chooses to be Batman, people die because of it, every kill the Joker has made since telling Batman that he'll kill because of him have been Batman's responsibility.

Quote:Thank you for making me glad I haven't been able to afford comics for a couple of years, because that's just flat out stupid, IMHO.
CactusBrawler keeps me happy:
Batman 'dies' during the current DC run, Joker becomes Saxon Hale, a fairly nice gravedigger and possibly a crime fighter. -
I would have liked that for my wizard that's based on Dragonlance's FizBan...Flatulus the Great ("What? It is an old and revered name! It means "Anointed One" in ancient Diarrhean! Harumph!"). He tends to not be very careful with his fire powers and has sometimes come back...less than he was.

Eww whats with the colour of tht cape xD -
I kind of get the first two parts, but the last one...is anywhere a "long trek" for high levels unless you're off in the Shadow Shard somewhere?
And even then...O-Portal. It's just long to get back. -
It's hard to say. I was hoping for more GM interest when they simply added merits, but it is pretty small. I love 'em and will jump at the chance to fight them, but then I'm on record as being a little weird.
Just a couple of weeks ago I held an SG event GM hunt running through all of them that was pretty fun. We had one team of 8 and a few of them were not from the SG and we had members switch in and out depending on which monster was next. We ran through all of the zone GMs (including Paladin) in a couple of hours, ending with Lusca. We all had a great time, but then we were all interested in the first place so that doesn't really much address the "problem".
It's hard to say if anything at all would help. It seems to be a thing one is interested in or not. Wouldn't object to them trying to get some interest going, but I'm not sure at all what kind of results would occur.
I think the only problem with increasing the rewards is that if you get a good debuffer, they fall over like they're made of toothpicks. I almost missed Babbage entirely because I stopped to pick up some insp. -
Quote:Can you actually do that? I thought you were restricted to powers that only affected yourself? If you can, I would opt that that be blocked.
Leo_G gives news:
-fire/dev blaster toggles on PFF
-proceeds to dispense Trip mines, time bombs, gun turrets, rains and caltrops from safety. -
Quote:In the game, silly! In real life I have peripheral vision that I don't have here, plus in the game I'm not gonna trip over anything, just stop.
Samuel_Tow can't separate reality from fantasy:
Well, then I certainly hope you have eyes on the back of your head, because tripping over an overturned chair, a street curb or a jotting sidewalk tile will then be more deadly than any enemy you're running backwards away from. And having fallen backwards and broken my wrist, I can assure you - falling over backawards is MONUMENTALLY more dangerous and much harder to brace yourself from than falling over forward from.
Additionally, if you're backing away from something, such as laying down suppressive fire and retreating, you are WALKING backwards. Not only is running backwards dangerous, it looks embarrassingly silly. What's more, when platoons are retreating, you have some people laying down suppressing fire and other, yes, turning around and running for cover. Running in a way the human body is not built to without looking where you're going is just asking for trouble.
Quote:Besides, facing in the direction he's moving never hampered the Prince of Persia, Devil May Cry's Dante or Crash Bandicoot. Running backwards is probably the WORST animation in the entire game and the worst concept in gaming history.
Quote:It looks bad, it feels wrong and it's always clumsy and fudged. I can kind of see strafing, even though most people wouldn't strafe, but rather run forward and just look to the side, but backpedalling has no such excuse. It's just... Silly!

Speaking of silly... -
Quote:I sometimes wonder if I'm the only one in this game that does things just for fun any more.
Panzerwaffen should hear the new Silent Majority:
The general attitude I have personally seen in-game, is that Posi is only worth running for the badge now.
But then I get out there and play and know it's not just me. -
I dunno, I think it has some merit. It's an "Oh, CRAP!" power that has potential not to protect you in some cases. I don't even understand making the power the way it is in the first place without making it "I'm safe, you can't hit me".
You are correct that the chances are small though. In fact, back in the day, I used to wise-crack that it was actually a travel power (because I used to use it to dash through purple NPCs with impunity).
