    Peregrine_Falcon should note:

But I think that the devs, and especially Positron, have consistently shown that, for whatever reason, they really do not have a clear picture of what the majority of the player base wants.
There's a distinct possibility that the reason for that is that a majority of the playerbase doesn't want the same things. Lot of people here, with a lot of diverse opinions.

"Open up" the next 20 or so levels? You think they have content for level 70 just sitting around on a server waiting for some kind of switch to be thrown?
Well, he said he was an old school gamer. Maybe he thinks they have them sitting around on Atari cartridges.

I have come to the conclusion that there simply must be different versions of City of Heroes in existence. That's the only explanation I can come up with for the wide discrepancy in reported player experiences about the same topic.
Ha! Nah, just different timing and the luck of the draw. And a little personal perspective (visible people vs. those "hiding" in the global channels, etc.).

    Samuel_Tow has my method, too:

What I'll usually do is go "Screw it! While he's looking for the boss, let's all the rest of us kill stuff to pass the time!"
Common practice on stealth TF missions for me (although it's usually a response "OK, tp us when you get there. We'll be mopping up here until you're ready."). Only once or twice have I not had at least a couple of people game for a little easy xp like that.
  5. Rich people can afford curtains.
  6. Be sure not to click any glowies in the TV respec, either.
  7. You don't need to make a toon for it. All your characters will have access as long as you mail it to your global (well, currently everyone on one side of Heroes/Villains, but everyone as soon as I18 drops). I mean, you can make one if you want, but it's not necessary. I've just been putting everything anyone earns over about $10 million into my bank and taking out what I need (claim whole thing and delete email, return what I'm not taking out in a new email). I do this often enough that I don't even have to worry about the expiration time limit.

EDIT: Oh, wait, salvage. Yeah, for salvage a toon would be good for storing it as each piece takes up a whole email.

Capa_Devans shows pity on the lesser equipped computer:

I do agree that powers on the Black Market/WW are annoying. I don't just mean Shadow Fall. Personally if I stood at WW with my spines/fire scrapper going full tilt with eight toggles I'd EXPECT someone to yell at me. (Not so much on a drive by 5 sec drop off but a long purchasing expedition.)
In the old WW interface, it would take upwards of 2-3 minutes after clicking for the screen to come up for me. If anyone running powers like that came near me...POOF, I was back to the login screen. Thankfully the new interface works a lot better now.
  9. I would not object in the least.

Even if it had to be unlocked with SG badges.
  10. I think her answer pretty much comes down to "We'll tell you when we're ready", so...patience.

    Trick makes me head scratch:

Not sure if this is a "Lost" costume piece, but one of the "suit" pieces, I think the double breasted blazer has a pinstripe texture and as far as I can see, there are no corresponding matching sleeves.
    You mean this one?

I vaguely remember having some trouble finding it, but can't remember how I did. It may not be under "Blazer Sleeves", but "Suit" or something like that.

EDIT: Hmmm...looking it up, I'm finding Pin Stripe options under both Blazer Sleeves and Blazer w/Cufflinks Sleeves (the latter being the one I chose for the Crimson Myst above). Maybe it was a different suit? Or possibly you didn't check under the second option bar, thinking only the one type was there?

M'thinks Decorum is wondering dangerously close to an NDA cliff.
Just to note...nope. I'm not in the beta. What I saw was here (a post mistakenly on the wrong board) which was quickly removed. Just "fair play" NDA of my own.
  13. What Quint said. K.I.S.S. principle above all.

    Mega_Jamie needs an addition:

Its an awesome power, and should only be turned off if you intend to be near the hostage or more accurately, the person the hostage is following.
Or you're not even fighting. It's particularly annoying in WW, where there is no reason for it to be on.
  15. Yup, that's my boy! Him and his robot babysitter H.A.R.O.L.D.!

"Donnie Gallager was THRILLED when Dr. Aeon opened Architect Entertainment! Accompanied, at the insistence of his mother, by his "babysitting" robot, H.A.R.O.L.D. (Human Adolescent Restriction Of Liberties Device), every day after school he dons the special virtual reality equipment he just got for his 12th birthday and pretends to live the life of a super-hero!"

    I > Team

Heh, the disconnect rises in the thread. Achiever types should only team with other Achiever types. My "So Superman should do his own thing when teamed with 'lesser" heroes?" argument would only get laughter from them.
  17. WoW has almost unlimited capital to do such things. CoX not so much. It's not a bad idea, I just have a hard time seeing how it would be economically feasible.

I would like to see good Tailor House both Paragon City, Rogue Isle, and Praetoria. A place where we can all come and show off with a good atmosphere. You could put a little runway there too :P

    Niiiiice!

If nothing else, I want better overhead lighting in Icon. That wall sconce stuff makes it a touch difficult to take decent pictures.
  19. Heh, been a long time since I read the intro, thanks. Huh. I guess I can mark it up to the fact that we don't see much of what's outside the War Walls. I suppose if Metropolis can be a huge city in tiny Rhode Island for years, so can Paragon.

    Naming question

The use of Doctor or Doc for me would depend on the overall cadence of the name. Different strokes, of course.

Doctor Savage would sound so silly to me.
  21. VERY clear, Doc. First time I've ever actually understood, too.
  22. It's generally the look. I'd never ask anyone to turn it off in a fight, but it's got an annoying look when you're not and it's not necessary. I generally only turn it on for battle.
  23. My MA-only Virtual Lad (leveling his way up to 50 only in the MA with no farming or PLing) salutes your "outside the box" thinking, Itomic! Congrats!
  24. I'm not sure what level of Clocks spawn with Pally, but it's pretty low. It's a 5-10 zone, after all. It would have to be...what, level 8 or below to con grey to an 11? Level 7?
