Bug or just a new experience?
I'd say it's most likely the powers, but I think other peoples ambushes can aggro on you, even if they're grey.(correct me if i'm wrong.)
Edit: Re-read it, it's possible the rest of his mob was hidden, a lone enemy seems strange.
Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.
If you were playing any character with any sort of aggro aura, enemies you run past, even greys, would aggro onto you (they might be too lazy to follow if you go fast)... so if someone's ambush was headed in a direction and crossed paths with you, that'd explain that occurring.

Sounds like you inadvertantly stepped in the spawning of the mass of Clockwork that bring about a Paladin.
Though I thought those were higher level than something that would con gray to a level 11 Tanker.

Definitely sounds like a bunch of Clickity Clacks swarming toward a Paladin build site or following Paladin to the "Paladin Park".

I'm not sure what level of Clocks spawn with Pally, but it's pretty low. It's a 5-10 zone, after all. It would have to be...what, level 8 or below to con grey to an 11? Level 7?
Dec out.
Thanks for all the great answers, folks. That's why I still love this game, something new everytime I play!
Frist, I mostly play blasters. I have a couple of tanks, the highest level is at 11. So, I was running through King's Row towards the tram when I aggroed a Clockwork. No problem, it was gray and even though I knew there would be a couple more, I wasn't really concerned.
Well, the next thing I know I am surrounded by about 15 or so Clockwork. They just kept showing up. (I did not have any missions at the time.) They were all gray to me, so, naturally, I defeated them. But it left me dumbfounded as I have never experienced, for lack of a better term, ambush like that before.
My question (see I have one!), was that a bug or did it have to do with the taunt effect that goes with tank powers?
