They don't. They're just different addresses. It's kind of like having a mailbox and a PO box. You could send something to either address, but either way it'll get to the same person.

You linked the same site. The two addresses work the same. It's the wikia one you want to avoid.

That's CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order. As they should be.
  6. Holy crap, I think I stumbled on something amazing here. I mean, the completely game changing kind of amazing. I have no idea when these things became part of the City, but I've been around since about the beginning and have never seen them until this week. The discovery of this item has utterly revolutionized the way I play.

    Inspirations!

I'm really not kidding. I used to never use them. Never. I'd hoard them and save them for the times I "really needed" them, but those times never came. Even though I did need them, I might need them more later, and then where would I be? For some reason, I would rather go to the hospital than eat a single inspiration.

Not until this week, when something strange happened.

So there I was, running my low level brute through villain tip missions. Now, I had set my difficulty for -1/x3, it seemed to make things easier while also providing decent rewards. More enemies to build fury, but they were weaker than me so I didn't run into too much trouble. That's all well and good in most normal content, but these tip missions include some rather unsightly uncertainties. Long story short, I got in over my head and just barely defeated the boss of the map with about 10% of my health left and even less endurance. I was briefly relieved, but suddenly horrified to find that the mission was not over. I could see the ambush text bubble coming right for me, what was I going to do?

I thought quickly. "I could rest. No, that would take too long and they'd probably kill me before it even started working. Maybe I could use my saved inspirations. No, I might really need them later! I could take my lumps and just come back from the hospital. Oh, better yet, I could self destruct on them, and then come back from the hospital. Oh crap, they're here, what do I do?"

I mashed F1-F4 several times and blasted through four small purples, three small blues and a small green. I dove in and started shredding enemies with the failing hope that I had not wasted my precious inspirations for nothing. I don't really know what happened next, it's all a blur at this point, but I saw "Mission Complete" and I was still alive. More than that, though, I got most of my inspirations back!

"Holy crap, are they really that easy to come by?"

    Yes. Yes, indeed they are.

I broke through the wall. I've recovered from insanity. Whatever you want to call it, I can use inspirations.

Thank you for your time. You may now return to your regular daily activities.

Other video games, correct? I can talk about a collectible card game, though, right?*

Very no. Like the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering.

After that I might go play some D&D.

I think it's already academic. It's not uncommon to have three teammates with maneuvers these days, especially since the inclusion of inherent fitness. Since all these incarnate trials are designed around teaming, then I don't think it's going to affect builds that are already softcapped.

Which would be more survivabe in the long run?
    Neither. They both have elude.

Seriously though, the scrapper. His DDR gets capped at 95%, but is virtually immune to the debuffs. It's possible that the NW could get debuffed down under 45%, but still highly unlikely.

Personally, I hide because I don't like receiving spam messages. There are quite a few people who recruit for SGs or teams with macros and just hit everyone on the list. The NLFT flag doesn't prevent me from being seen and have spam macro tells sent to me. Further, the NLFT flag doesn't stay set every time I log in.

When I play, I do the things I intend to do. If I'm looking for a team, I'll broadcast in my global channels and get one rolling. If I want to solo, I don't have to worry about responding to or ignoring tells from people. I don't waste their time by letting them see me and send the message in the first place.

They sort of can't, since they are basically using the same equations (at least for the sustainable part of mine).
I created my spreadsheet without the knowledge of yours, Arcana. I intended to take the project a great deal farther, and would eventually have come up with the same thing you have. Realizing that, of course, I said "to hell with it," and stopped where I was at.

But that also means on single target comparisons, it will be lower than it can be. Slainsteel's posted build slots Dark Regen for almost 70% heal on a single target, almost twice Dechs build. My spreadsheets have been assuming single targets throughout; scaled up Willpower would quickly become stronger, while most other things wouldn't. Invuln normally gets stronger, but the build we've been looking at was already soft capped.
I can't exactly remember my slotting there. I think I prioritized endurance, recharge, accuracy, and heal in that order.

One thing I want to make sure to point out: Stainsteel may be "overhealing" to get his numbers. With Dark Armor calculations, it's important to make sure you don't heal for any more than my maximum hit points.

I'd suggest this if anyone actually used their LFT flags and if half the people playing didn't hide from search anyway.

Your best bet really is the right global channels.
  16. My initial point was: How far do you need to go to water down the game? If ambushes aren't fun for you because you can't handle them on every character you play, so they get removed, then what's the next to go?

More than that, ambushes are a necessary part of the game. They're part of the story, and they're not impossible to deal with. Pretty much every mission you get ambushed in you can see it coming a mile away. Text warnings and visual cues are present. Pack a few inspirations.

Ah, I could see that. I avoided that problem by not having ancillary powers that require slots.

I'm guessing you throw in a TAoE attack from the ancillary like Ball Lightning or Dark Obliteration. Do you find the redraw detrimental?

I've found I move a lot while playing claws, particularly upwards. Jumping prior to a shockwave seems to make everything get knocked down. More than that, though, I find I'm always moving to line the right targets up for Eviscerate and to angle my shockwave to hit the whole spawn into a corner or against a wall. Shockwave is phenomenal for those enemy groups that like to stand still and shoot.

You know, I love the synergy between KM and Dark Armor. There are stuns and -damage and knockdown for mitigation, and Power Siphon (like Follow Up) does a lot for a character with a damage aura. I think you picked a great combo. My next (freakin') project is actually a KM/Dark Scrapper. He's only 26 and doesn't even have a build planned, though. I can't wait to see the carnage he's capable of.

    That's a long winded "you're welcome."

Well, where you chose to avoid knockback, I choose to avoid redraw. I already get enough with the occasional Dark Regeneration.

I remember reading BillZ talk about shockwave and how it was different for brutes than for scrappers. On his scrappers, Shockwave turned to knockdown when facing +4 enemies, but it was still knockback for his brute.
  21. !!!!!!!!!!

Shockwave! It's bloody awesome! Last night, an Op Renault SF netted me levels 32 and 33. I quickly crafted some common IOs for it and wow! I was running -1/x3 comfortably, but now I'm on +0/x5, all because of a slotted Shockwave.

Mitigation in spades and it allows you to position enemies for more inclusive Spin attacks. And it does decent damage! I've seen Claws builds that skipped this power; I cannot imagine why.

Holy crap this brute is fun.
  22. Thanks for letting me know. I'm always glad to hear I've helped somebody out. Also, there's no better advertising than a good testimonial .

You don't even have eclipse. Just wait until you get that slotted up.

Don't worry too much about your build. Like I've said before, a Warshade on SOs (played right) is still a sight to behold. You'll start running TFs and whatnot, and your 'shade will make them go faster for everybody involved. The merits will come flowing in and you can roll them right back out for the IOs you want.

Really, though, I appreciate hearing these kind of things. Thanks again.

By my calculations it is. Check the survivability analysis. I added a sheet near the front for "The Awesome Inv."

EDIT: I stand corrected, we were talking about different builds. Iggy's is pretty damn impressive.

I've got one of each. That's assuming you're talking about the build on the first page with the purples and a few PvP IOs.

Neither of my builds use either purples or PvP IOs. They're even pre-incarnate.
