Human only PB?

With the new incarnate system progressing, is anyone working on an updated human only PB build? If so, could you share?

Well, for me, it's exactly like my regular PB build only with Musculature Paragon as the Alpha slot.

I'll probably take Diamagnetic for the Interface and Clarion (status protection finally!) for the Destiny.

hey where do you find the new incarnate slot info thats going to be in i20?

I have a human-only PB that I'll probably be updating, but I'm not sure if I'll have the time available to write a guide on it... I haven't even updated the guide I've already written yet...lol

My question is, will these bonuses really make much of a difference? PB is one of those "If only..." I really could not get into the forms, just not my thing. I don't mind the grind to level 50 if I have something to look forward to. PB have the types of powersets I wish to play, but they lack enough "umph" to feel like a real hero.

Not especially. The biggest problem for PBs has been the fact that their whole jack-of-all-trades schtick was superceded by a lot of the Villain classes, and, more recently, VEATs, but they never received anything to compensate for it. Musculature can somewhat compensate for the lowish damage Human-form Peacebringers can pump out, and Clarion Core will eventually be able to give you the mez resist you've always wanted, but you're still going to lag behind Scrappers/Brutes/Blasters, and your actual group support is still lackluster. You're pretty good at surviving (depending on team composition), but so are Brutes, and Brutes are far less reliant on perfect team composition to do good damage and survive well.

I know this can be tweaked to be better, but attached is the current Human build I'm using for higher level content and TFs/SFs. Without Cosmic Balance kicking in:

65% global recharge
23.5% +damage (plussed upped with CB)
solid mez resistance across the board
35+% resistance across the board (plussed upped with CB)
2069hps with perma Essence Boost
Reform Essence recharged in 19secs

A lot of toggles so I went with Cardiac and I'm happy with the performance so far. I usually slot my toons with lvl40 IOs so you could squeeze out better #s I guess if slotting with lvl50s.

Hope this helps as an end product to look at; good luck and have fun

For human only u should focus on building a energy/regen/invuln blapper..

Meaning all emphasis on melee powers shields and heals..

Also scooop up muscilar for more dmg. Rebirth for the extra heal and the -res lore for even more dmg

Proc up.. i have atleast 3 dmg procs in all my attacks..

So, what procs do you recommend for a human-only PB attack chain?

It's personal preference on the attack chain and IOs, but...

in ranged attacks I went:

GBolt
2x acc/dmg HOs, 2x dmg procs, 1x Res Debuff, 1x Hold proc
GBlast
5x Decimations for 6.25% recharge, 1x Hold proc

melee attacks I went:

RS & IS
5x Crushing Impacts for 5% recharge and 1x dmg proc

SF
5x Oblits for 5% recharge, 1x Force Feedback: chance for +recharge

Hopefully more advice comes in and you can figure out what works for you.

Yeah, the Force Feedback proc is pretty good... I have it slotted in one of my Nova attacks, but Solar Flare should be good, too. I probably wouldn't choose a proc over slotting decently... even the weaker attacks should have some accuracy and damage first.

I'd proc about half my single target attacks with achilles heel and 1-2 damage. The rest I'd proc 1-2 damage and slot normally otherwise.

I am trying for 1 thing, and 1 thing only...

Perma Light Form.

So, whatever slotting I need to get that is what I want to do...

I figure, if I am at perma Light Form, then I won't really NEED the other shields, and once I have achieved it (with Hasten 3-slotted, 5 LotG 7.5%s, and whatever else I need for perma), then I can go for damage and use Musculature to flesh out the damage output.

This PB was tri-form ever since I made it RIGHT after my very first toon made 50 (good ol' reliable Beorn the tank), and he has languished in limbo as I first got a villain to 50 and then got some VEATs to 50 and then ANOTHER villain to 50 and then my Warshade (made much later) to 50, before finally making my AoE platform elec/shield scrapper a 50.

Now, I feel I have neglected him long enough, but my concept for him is less a PeaceBringer and more an extra-terrestrial from an alternate time-stream where Emperor Cole has already defeated the heroes of his world/time/universe and he has been sent here to defeat Cole and then he can (hopefully) return to his time stream prior to Cole's ascension and bring his new-found information (and even more hopefully lots of Primal Earth back-up) to undo what had been done.

As such, I wish him to be human-form, but not really human.

Um, tl/dr...

Nutshell- need perma Light Form, THEN will start worrying about damage...

And I would do this how???

Perma Light Form is only theoretically possible. Even if you IO out to an absolutely absurd amount of recharge (I cooked up a theoretical build with approximately 215% recharge), and had Force Feedback proccing at the right times (for another +100%), and had Spiritual Core, you'd still be around 20 seconds off of perma.

Recharge improvement caps at +400%. That means that because of the recharge formula of "recharge time = (base recharge) / (100% + buffs/enhancements - debuffs)" you can only get a power down to 1/5th of its base recharge time.

Because light form has a 180 second duration and 1000 second recharge, the fastest you can possibly get it recharging in is 200 seconds, and then further recharge improvement will no longer affect it. So it will always have a 20-second downtime, no matter what you do.

Ah, I see...

I reckon I've been spending FAR MORE TIME with my Warshade and Eclipse (which you can easily get perma), than my Peacebringer and Light Form...

I may have to rethink my concept a bit...

Okay, if that is the case, then I am more interested in survivability than damage.

So, if I 6-slot every shield & tough, and then get only the IOs that increase dam resistance, IS there a way to be at the 85% cap on S/L/F/C/E/NE and relatively high on Toxic and Psionic?

I realize that cosmic balance will help some, but supposing I am with all tanks or something inane like that?

I have tried using Mids and I just don't have the skill to do it with any alacrity.

If you're with tanks, you shouldn't be worried about taking damage at all (aside from incidental AoE damage, which Reform Essence will clean up quite easily). That's the point behind Cosmic Balance: it's supposed to push you towards a certain role that your team might otherwise be missing. Its big problem is that the damage boost assumes something approaching a balanced team, when you really just need, say, a good tank with IOs and a Controller in your average non-Incarnate group, and you're still not guaranteed to get that perfect group in an Incarnate group as it is.

Even with the damage boost, you're still considerably worse off than, say, a Super Strength dude, aside from your two big nukes that you practically have to build yourself around to be useful in a group.
