Quote:Fix'd.What you call temporary powers are on demand and capable of being made permanent and available to blasters. Dominators also have the ability to cap their hitpoints and keep them there, just like blasters, except the Blaster has higher base HP.
Your initial statement on this matter is still invalid and still completely false. -
Quote:Tell me, what is a corruptor's primary powerset? And what is its inherent?I don't consider corruptors as primarily damage. They are balanced damage team buff/debuff
Quote:Veats can have up to 2400 hp and you can build to get it, heats also can have up to 2400 points and can easily get there with the dwarf form.
You make no attempt to rebut against the Dominator, which has less HP than a blaster. At this point, your initial statement on the matter is proved completely invalid. Blasters do not have the worst HP of the primarily damage dealing ATs.
For someone so picky about misquotes, I find it odd you don't seem to care about misinformation. -
Except, he's still right. Blasters have tied hitpoints to stalkers, and more than the other primary damage dealing ATs. Corruptors are primarily about damage, as are VEATS, HEATS, and Dominators. Out of all the primarily damage dealing ATs, only Brutes and Scrappers have better HP.

Yeah, that's all we have that's official. A few concept pieces and a "momentum" which "speeds up your attacks as you go along."
Everything else you mentioned was player speculation. -

We have no idea.
It's still in very early development, the info we have is from an accidental leak. -
Quote:I agree that Omega better be more than an alpha, but I personally would like to see it as another persistent effect similar to alpha/interface. I'm running out of tray space on a lot of characters for more clicky thingies....I really hope Omega is something WAY more impressive [than the Alpha slot]. I love the Alpha slot, don't get me wrong. But, frankly, Omega should be something along the lines of a fully customised signature power.
Yeah, well, the "Placate is Bugged" thread has been stickied since 2006. -
Redside has less players than blue, but it's far from needing a revival.
-
Ok, I have to ask. This topic is from 2006. When stalkers were first introduced. Why the bloody hell hasn't this been fixed?
Placate is a crucial piece to a stalker's functionality. -
Quote:Panacea proc only checks per activation. Theft of Essence checks per target.Question: Does the panacea proc in Dark Regen check per enemy hit or per activation? Also, what about the endurance consumption vs gain of Dark Regen with only one target slotted like that? I have a hard time believing it will fill your endurance with only a couple of mobs, much less one.
You get a 20% of 10% endurance returned to you per target hit. For simplicity sake, let's assume you've only got 100 max endurance. Dark Regeneration costs 33 endurance, average slotting I would assume is around 20 endurance per use (very conservative, most people would slot more or Cardiac).
Against one target, you get an average return of 2 endurance (20% * 10 end). So sometimes it costs you 20 endurance, sometimes it only costs you 10. On average, you're spending 18 endurance if you only use Dark Regen against one target. That doesn't sound phenomenal by a long stretch.
With ten targets in range, the average return is ten times that, or 20 endurance, since each event is independent. If you slot better than what I assumed as average endurance reduction and have the theft of Essence proc, on average, Dark Regen will return more endurance to you than it costs if used in a full mob. There are times it will fill your endurance bar. There are also times where it won't fire at all. -
MFing Warshade, hands down.

It can also perma stun ten targets, perma hold one, and even stun bosses in a single shot. It has mez protection with an 80% hitpoints bonus on demand. It can even shrug off defeat twice every five minutes. -
Quote:This.Either you want godlike power or you don't. This is your problem to resolve, not the developers.
If you seriously cannot rationalize a "Human Potential Incarnate" (whatever that garbage means) throwing out a Judgement power, how can you rationalize said hero routinely survive being burned, shot, sliced, dosed with radiation, exploded, beam rifled, and every other thing that would kill even the best humanity has to offer?
If you made it to level 50, your character isn't a mere human. Get over it, or turn XP gain off at level 1 when you can still survive bullets. It's pretendy fun time games. -

Quote:I routinely run teams of three blasters. They're actually quite fun. One of them is even an Assault Rifle.Because three Blasters, three Stalkers, or three Peacebringers would be absolutely screwed as a team.
Three of... well, anything else... would wreck shop. Easily.
Three stalkers I have done once, it was, again, immensely entertaining.
I haven't done three PBs. Considering I've done all Kheldian ITFs, though, I don't see them having a problem, especially since they'd be able to stack their controls.
EDIT: The most recent All-Kheld ITF was actually a 4/4 split. You know how there's two paths to Romulus? The four warshades raced the four PBs down separate paths. The warshades won (of course), but the fact that the four PBs were capable of handling the x8 spawns of Romans is more than enough to trump your argument. -
Quote:I was going to type up responses. But then Aett read my mind and posted for me.1) No, we know next to nothing about the new powerset. Also, why would this delay the execution of something else? It's not like you can respec into the new set or anything.
2) Not sure.
3) I will be making a few new characters there, to snag some names I've wanted for a while, but won't be moving any of my characters there.
4) I'll be staying VIP. The $15 a month has been more than worth it to me, and I expect it to stay that way. -

Yes, blasters are superfluous, but that's not the whole story. Please allow me a short moment to list all the superfluous ATs in this game.
Blaster.
Controller.
Defender.
Scrapper.
Tanker.
Peacebringer.
Warshade.
Brute.
Corruptor.
Dominator.
Stalker.
Mastermind.
Arachnos Soldier.
Arachnos Widow. -

Quote:I just checked this last night, and Spad's a little off.Two have a 120 second recharge and the other two have 90 second recharge, they all have a 90 second duration
Every Destiny will recharge in 120 seconds. Out of the tier 3 Clarions, only one of them lasts 120 seconds. Two are 90 second duration, the last is 60. -

Quote:Tell me, how many times do you have to ride the coaster before you win the stuffed animal for knocking down milk jars?Which is why you don't have to ride the roller coaster 30 times to get to the other attractions.
See, I can make bad twisted metaphors too.
Doing the content doesn't unlock any more content. It gives you rewards. If you want those rewards, you have to do that content. It's that simple, and there's nothing wrong with that.
You have alternatives. Unlike side switching. -
Quote:If there's one thing I will get behind you on, it's that there's too much defense available in the IO sets and not enough damage boosts. My Tankers deserve to be as awesome offensively as anyone's unkillable Incarnate Brute or Scrapper and I damn well intend to rock the boat and make noise until the devs allow him and all Tankers the same freedom and room to grow. And if you don't like it, tough.
But this other stuff you're spouting? You can't balance the game around top end performance and what happens at the caps. If you do, then like I jokingly referred to earlier, Blasters are the true be-all end-all. After all, they're just as survivable as these "brokenly tough" scrappers when they're at their caps, and they deal loads more damage because their base damage and damage cap is even higher, and they get more AoE attacks.
The game is balanced around SOs. Take it or leave it. But please, shut up about it. -
Quote:My first post on this matter is the third or fourth reply to the topic. The mechanic is what was clarified for the bet.I'll put 100m for Dark Regen being put in.
Just to confirm I am betting for the name not the mechanic. My money is going toward a power being put in with the name that is probably closer to Drain Psyche than it is anything tank/scrappers/brutes get.
