Ah, I only meant that with enough traffic, afk farming would die because there should always be people pvping and stumbling on farms.
Of course, that would require pvp to be fun and attractive. -
Technically, Mauk, the afk farmer runs the risk of being killed. I mean, he is in a pvp zone and there are only so many places to hide. If all the pvp zones simply had enough traffic, afk farms would die out.

Are you sure that is auto hit?
I always thought it was just psi typed with no positional tag. -
You can bind one key to turn on ten toggles, you'll just have to press that key ten times.

Ok, I'll give you three options:
1) Use enhancements which are cheap and single aspect but require maintenance every few levels to upgrade or replace.
2) Use enhancements which are relatively expensive, are single aspect, must be crafted, but do not require maintenance once slotted.
3) Use enhancements which are dirt cheap on the market, have several aspects which provide greater enhancement values than comparable single aspect ones, must be crafted, do not require maintenance once slotted, and occasionally give you set bonuses on top of all that.
Out of those three, option three is very often the cheapest and it gives you far better results while leveling your character.
Maybe using only SOs and only Common IOs isn't "poor planning." But if you can come up with a better term for "an alternative plan which yields worse results for a greater cost" that doesn't imply poor planning, I'm all ears. -
Quote:Because, clearly, "everybody's doing it" is to be taken as a literal statement. You said you don't slot IOs till 47. You said you don't think it's unique. That certainly implies that it's a common practice, if not a majority opinion. That has still never been a good excuse for poor planning. And defense based scrappers are still going to get much less benefit out of Fortitude than resistance based scrappers. It's not about dying in regular PvE shenanigans, it's about pulling extraordinary shenanigans.Whew, for a minute there, I thought I actually said 'everybody's doing it' or even implied it - thank goodness I found out that you were just being your regular snarky self and putting words in my mouth!
-
Because "everybody's doing it" has always been a valid excuse for poor planning.
Regardless of when you start using IOs, though, you still don't need to be softcapped before level 30 or even 40. When talking about the high end, you're going to get a great deal more mileage out of pairing a resistance based set with Empathy than you will a defense one. -
Quote:What level do IOs start to drop again?Minus tier 9s, I'm pretty sure an SO'd scrapper is not going to be soft-capped before 47. Which is why fortitude would help. Cmon bro you know this.
Who uses SOs anymore that's not a free account?
Who needs to be softcapped before level 30?
C'mon bro, you know all this. -
Quote:Hang on a second, no one's saying that to properly play a human only shade that you have to pick one of the other forms. However, I think it's a bit strange to create a guide for "human only" and then tell people that in order to "properly" play a "human only" Warshade, you have to pick one of the other forms... That's a bit backwards.
It's just one of the options available to you. -
Believe it or not, two Empathy/Sonic defenders can really tear things up.
Permanent Fortitude and Adrenaline Boosts on each other, double stacked RAs, and tons of -resist for the enemies.
Edit: Also, you could pick just about any two MMs. -
Quote:I actually agree with THB on this topic. To me, Human Only is a playstyle, not a build restriction.I see where you're coming from... You see taking Dwarf form on a Kheldian just like taking another power (like boxing) on a Blaster.
I see it as taking another "form." Hence, the terms "Bi-form" and "Tri-form." Regardless of whether or not you only use 4 powers or one power (like mire) in that form you picked, it's still another form you've taken.
I've taken a lot of mule powers across a lot of characters, and each one of those powers gets more use than THB gives his Dwarf form. Yes, I've actually used Boxing and Grant Invisibility.
For a great example, look at my Soldier of Arachnos. He took some powers from the Bane trees, but none of the mace powers that you recognize as a Bane Spider, choosing to fight with the rifle and provide tactical support to the team in the form of leadership buffs. Tell me, how would you describe his build? If someone asked you what my SoA was, would you tell them it's a "Bane Spider"? I know what he plays like, and it's no Bane. We have a name for that kind of character. It's Huntsman.
I've seen THB play. I've seen THB's build. When people ask me what THB plays, I say a Human Form 'Shade. -

Hey, you can still use the Jet Engine on a Stick.
I'm not sure I understand the "Garage Brand" name. Is it an I made this in my garage thing? Or an I made this out of everything in my garage? -
I'm playing TW/DA. It is spectacular. Very burst-y, extremely strong.
I get to swing a concrete lollipop. What could be better? -
-
It depends.
My DA brute values e/n defense just as much as s/l. My blaster just wanted s/l. -
Unfortunately, recharge suffers from diminishing returns simply because of where bonuses are in the formula. When you add defense to a build, every % you get actually does more for your survivability than the % that came before it, but the opposite is true for recharge.
That said, I typically go for "enough" recharge to perma the things I want perma. So your thoughts are probably correct, that you'd get more mileage out of Musculature. Keep in mind that it will also boost the damage of Judgements and Lore pets. -

Ok, I've got two questions.
1.) When the hell did this section of the forums get here?
2.) Does that answer your question? -

I can work around stupid AI. Give me some customization.
