Think how you like, but I just made a superteam of defenders with some friends, and gale/hurricane is the best thing that's happened to us.
EDIT: That same defender has skipped O2 boost. In fact, I don't think any of us have any type of healing powers, except for the accidental healing that is sometimes caused by that one dark miasma debuff.
Our stormy uses gale to great effect by herding all of the mobs onto the anchored mob. -
You do not understand the true effectiveness of gale.
It's also the same way for controllers.
EDIT: Huh, look at this. Seems you're still bitter. -
Try this:
Make your costume an obvious ripoff of some Marvel character. Then make your bio a copy-paste of that character's background, but with your character's name in the right places.
Then have a friend report you.
GENERIC'D!
You now have a name change token. -
Quote:And considering the 2 second activation time before the power actually starts recharging, we're spot on!Hube, based on your numbers, you are using 2 -2 SOs (26.66% * 2 + 20% = 73.3%) for (200/(1+.733) = 115.4) 1 minute 55 second recharge.

Alright, who let graystar out from under the bridge again?

Suggestions forum is down a few.
Aside from that, a power that targets cannot also be a self affecting power, since you cannot target yourself. Call it a limitation of the game if you want, but it cannot be done. If it affects yourself, it can't be used on teammates.
The simple fact is, if you want aid self, you have to sacrifice a power choice that can only be used on other people. -

Look here for another acceptable definition of compact.
Scroll down to number 2, where it says a "formal agreement between two or more parties" and "contract." -
"Hey, target my Assbot. I'm going to use detonator, then you use Rise of the Phoenix on him."

Quote:I'd keep it. Combined with shadow cloak, it gives you perfect stealth.Question Super Speed is part of the original build I found in the ultimate guide. I really don't need it or will ever really use it with shadow step and nova fly. Also got a the vet TPs all the way to Asemble the team and the pocket D port.... And ninja run. High speed travel over a zone (the only time I would use SS) is pretty much covered.
But I really kind find anything worth plugging in there -
It is not a bug, nor is it an exploit.
It is an accepted, unintended side effect caused by an unforeseen interaction between the respec system and inherent powers granted when choosing the form powers.
But yes, you can't do that when leveling up. It has to be done during a respec. -
*Please preface every one of my sentences with "In my opinion..."*
I don't have mids in front of me now, but I can see room for improvement without it.
Especially since it's a set-less build, I would try to leverage the shapeshifting as much as humanly possible (pardon the pun). The less time you spend in human, the better.
That said, right off the bat I'd scrap the slots you have in shadow bolt, ebon eye, and gravimetric snare. They don't provide enough benefit to use those powers as is. That's four slots that can go into the form powers. I'd put one of those in Dark Nova Blast, make it a recharge reduction. Put two of the others into the nova AoEs, make them endurance reduction. Put the last one into gravatic emanation and make it a recharge reduction. That power is one worth dropping to human form to use, and should be perma and stackable for a few seconds now.
I don't think you'll use Quasar as often as your build plans to. Take at least two of those recharge reductions out and probably one of the damage enhancers even. I think the same of Unchain Essence, but less so. Play around with it, see how often you use it and decide whether you need so much recharge in it.
Gravity well is your heaviest hitting attack and should have some damage/recharge in it. If you grabbed some extra slots from Unchain Essence as well, I'd throw more end reduction into your dwarf attacks. -
Please, allow me a moment to express myself.

I need to go change my pants. -

Quote:Don't use your whip to do damage. Seriously. You can use the whip, but it's not to do damage. It's to apply -res to the enemies so your pets can do more damage.I'm not so sure the set bonuses are as useless on a DS because of how good the whip attacks are - but that's still a small amount of overall damage.
So if it fires per hit, wouldn't that make tier 2 best with the damage aura or will it also fire on the demon prince frozen aura?
Toggle damage auras like that won't trigger on a per hit basis. They can only trigger once every ten seconds. Every other attack, however, can trigger it per target.
Still, it's better to put the build up proc on your prince. He does the most damage to begin with, so the build up will be boosting more damage when it fires. -
Quote:ACK! NO! BAD! *smacks with stick*I tend to put one unique in the tier 1 bots (Edict of the master) and the other unique in the Tier 2 bots. Soulbound is saved for tier 3 bots.
Prot bots need to cram as much acc/damage/end in the first three slots that they can, the fourth slot is for healing, and the last two slots are for defense.
Sorry, I don't really mean that. Slotting is always to taste, but this is what works for me (without hami-o's)
True, along with regen, but regen much less so. +recharge helps with traps for doublestacked acid mortars and such. -
Quote:I approve! My three rules of villainy:
1. Everyone in - no pulling, no herding, take that alpha and like it.
2. Everyone kills - no buff bots, no taunt bots, apply your attacks early and often.
3. Save yourself - don't blame other people for not taking time specifically to save you.
(These are also my 3 rules of heroics. :P)
I have rules for my task/strike forces as well, but the first rule is I'm not allowed to talk about them. -
1. Go here.
2. Flashback gives 40 merits, but can be "truly" solo'd. -
Quote:I refer you to my scrapperlock thread, started by tales of my mastermind.Agreed. Ironically Villains is the side you're more likely to come across a team all suffering from a form of Scrapperlock.
Suffering may be the wrong word there.
Edit: I realize you have posted in that thread. Thank you for your contribution of pure awesome. -
Quote:In my opinion, villain ATs were geared towards self reliance, whereas hero ATs are geared towards good teamwork. But consider VEATs which add defenses to the entire team.
Also Villain ATs are more rounded in terms of damage capabilities, there's no low damage ATs villain-side really.
A good hero team is eight people steamrolling together.
A good villain team is eight people soloing on the same map. -
Meh, not the whole set. Set bonuses (that aren't defense) are overrated for MMs. Just frankenslot the values you care about, and leave room for one of the pet uniques plus the soulbound proc.
-
It also has a chance to proc off of every target hit, so things like the Assbot with large, frequent AoEs benefit amazingly from this proc.
