Oh just a quick Thanks again Xemulas for proving me wrong.
I have no problem admitting i'm wrong if people have good solid facts and don't just shout and bawl about it
[/ QUOTE ]
And if you supplied something to prove wrong other than 'Mids doesn't show it' (Mids isn't official) and 'you don't think it's right' (despite having never tried it) then you would actually have a case.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well if you hadn't shouted "WRONG!" and just said 'no thats not correct and heres why' in a civil manor i would of paid more attention
[/ QUOTE ]
I think if you look at my posts you won't find any such shouting, and as far as I'm aware wrong means the same as not correct.
If you hadn't have presented incorrect facts as correct then I wouldn't have had to correct you.
And I have no idea why you are waffling on about large country houses. -

as theres no offical word on it.

That's the issue right there
Ah well, certainly cheaper than trying to get enough global recharge w/o hasten
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep altho now is raises the question how much recharge you would need to perm it without hasten and with the def/recharge IO's.
[/ QUOTE ]Answer- Fortunatas don't, and Night Widows do. Night Widow Mind Link has a much lower recharge out of the box, and they also have mental training.
Stories of Perma-Mind Link seem to only come from NWs.
[/ QUOTE ]
PLease see previous posts Spirit, my fortunata has perma mind link thanks to several Def/Rech enhancements -

Set bonus recharge works but as the power itself does not except Recharge IO's it would stand to reason IO's likes def/recharge would not work.
Mids agrees with me as IO's like def/recharge do not alter the recharge on ML in the slightest.
[/ QUOTE ]
no, you are wrong
I actually have the power slotted in game.
see also this topic which again proves you are wrong

This is not about farming its about badge hunting, and i had know idea that things had gotten so bad in the badger community that they needed to go so low.
[/ QUOTE ]
mate, seriously, come on Union and join 'Union Badgehunters'. Channel is living proof of a fail community, ran by dictators.
[/ QUOTE ]
On the plus side you can ignore people without having the pleasure of teaming with them. I think I have about 20% of the channel on ignore now. -
Defiant Badgers (may or may not have a space can't check at the moment)

I am quite happy with my WP scrapper hitting around 30-35% defense against everything, combined with the resistances it makes him very hard to kill. I really don't see the point in compromising what is the main function of scrappers, hitting stuff, in order to boast that I can hit the defense soft cap.

Slotted the build and put IOs in it. 50%'ish def to melee/ranged/aoe
[/ QUOTE ]
Only when mindlink is up which btw dosn't except Recharge IO's so Set IO's with Recharge do nothing.
You can hit the def soft cap without it .. just not with fly
Think you seriously need to rethink that build.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong chelsea, Mindlink IS effected by the recharge from set IOs, I have it perma on my Night Widow quite easily, with a few Def/Recharge IOs and even use the Recharge IO from adjusted targeting. -
AR/EM you an avoid all but the tier 1 melee attaks and take the buffs, whih are explainable as learned feats
-
I can't understand why people feel the need to be drip fed builds. Use creativity! Choose powers you like! Have fun!
The whole point of Veats seems to be that they can fill a number of roles, its up to you to decide what you actually want to do with yours. -
[ QUOTE ]
lol im soryy but i hate it when somene gives me that kinda advice couse thn i mite aswell post nothing give me your personal meaning about the AT and if the xtra slow is worth the loss of damage?
[/ QUOTE ]
no one else can know what you enjoy to play. Veat builds can be very different and in the end it comes down to personal choice. And tbh you may as well post nothing if you give so little information about your current build, powers and slotting. The only way of really deciding if a power works for you is to take it and try it out. -
[ QUOTE ]
Did anybody read my post?
I have perma mind link at lvl 27 - it cost less than a slotting a power with SOs. Not sure if you should be able to do this but it works.
[/ QUOTE ]
thats exactly what my original post was about, ie you can't slot recharges but it is affected by recharge in set IOs -
Mind Link doesn't take Recharge enhancements, however it is affected by recharge from set IOs.
Something seems wrong about that -
Interesting read. After hitting L24 my Widow went from a bit meh to soloing on relentless. I've gone afor a few attacks, a few control (I include tk blast as control, it is fantastic damage mitigation). Currently trying to decide which powers NOT to take is the biggest problem, no chance of a patron pool being used.
-
I have the following crafted enhancements
Defiant Heroes
Steadfast Protection Res/Def3% L12 & L13
Performance Shifter Chance for +end L30
Kismet Accuracy L10 & L11
Union Villains
Performance Shifter +end L37 and L39
Regenerative Tissue +Regen L15
Decimation Chance for Build Up L25
Gaussians Chance for Build Up L21
I need the same (or near as possible) on Defiant Villains at lowest possible level
I also have
75M Infamy on Union Villains
50m Influence on Union Heroes
That I need to exchange for Infamy on Defiant Villains -
in my opinion tactics should be kept to a minimum for anything like this. The make up of each team is different so they will naturally use different tactics. A lot of the problems with only certain ATs being wanted on some TFs are down to tactics being set in stone and people being unwilling to experiment.
-
I went for thermal sinply as i've never played it before. Plus the fact that plant being so low damage makes soloing a drag so i wanted a team oriented secondary. Thermal does a lot of nice things with buffs/debuffs/heals.

This is in the Union Villains forum because.....
Gratz anyway -
Grats
Why the vitriol from others? Loads of the congrats to whoever posted in the various forums on their latest 50s are for toons that are powerlevelled.
If thats what floats your boat then you pays your money etc, personally I am PLing all of my new heroes to at least 22 to get stamina/decent IOs. My veats will be played properly as they are new, but thats just my choice -
The 2 things an illusion troller wants most from sets are +recharge and +recovery, especially for running the end heavy toggles in rad.
-
Trigger Hippy - AR blaster with a peaceful side
Chillerwatt - some sort of ice/elec combo
Lethal Voltage - Elec Stalker -
Most farming builds I've seen try to maximize damage resistance (with tough and epic shield), and also knockback protection is important
-
Willpower really benefits from 4 slotting Kinetic Combat in all single target attacks. You really really don't need the 2.5% recovery bonuses. I prefer Reactive Armour as a resistance set for Willpower tanks. You are just wasting money on Miracle +recovery and Numinas +recovery/+regen. The small health bonuses don't make a vast difference, certainly not enough to slot sets with those over more useful sets, and you are also wasting slots on stamina, quivk recovery just to get set bonuses which really don't have a great deal of impact
-
I am considering Dark/Energy Melee, mainly for the massive amount of stuns to combine with Oppressive Gloom
-
I'm guessing from the powerset selection and build you are not keen on winning in pvp?
