I think Xan was successful in convincing me to bring the Global Defense Force along for this event.

"Serving as a beacon of hope in times of darkness."
Currently Recruiting: Since we're a fairly new SG, we're always looking for some good, virtuous heroes to join our ranks. We're really trying to focus on bringing in the classic hero. (Tights/Capes/etc. A good, iconic look really.)
RP Level: Heavy RP
PvP Level: Whenever members feel like PvPing
Theme/Concept: "Based on the orbiting space station known as 'The Lambent Dawn', the Global Defense Force is here to protect the world from any beings that seek to do it harm. The Global Defense Force was founded by some of the premier heroes from Paragon City and elsewhere on Earth with the purpose of creating a strong coalition of heroes that would be able to deploy at a moment's notice to any area on the planet that requires their assistance."
Think the Justice League or Avengers: a group of heroes dedicated to protecting the entire planet. One goal is that when we have enough members, we'd like to form separate teams withing the SG. Each team will be tasked with protecting and monitoring specific regions of the planet. For example, one group would be tasked with deploying to urban environments if a situation called for their assistance. Current groups planned at the moment are: Urban/Industrial, Desert, Forest, Jungle, Tundra, Underground, and Oceanic. Each team would have its own inclusive plots and enemies. For interdimensional threats or those from outside Earth, the entire GDF would be brought together.
Activity: We have a pretty good core group of players at the moment but are always looking to expand that. For the most part, people are on everyday; most during the evenings.
Requirements for Membership: Have a character that fits the above and fill out an application on our forums. It helps if you are a good RPer and are an active and committed member of the group. It would also be nice if we could get a couple characters from the regions or characters that have extensive knowledge of the above regions.
Leadership: Dawnshift, Black Authority
In-Game Contact: @MKing, @Kaz Kade
URL: http://z13.invisionfree.com/Global_D...rce/index.php?
Coalition: Currently, the GDF is allied with the Axiom Guard and Silver Aegis.
Base Details: The base is pretty much finished. So far, we have a pretty cool looking Medical Center, Library, Lounge/Mess Hall, Workshop, Tech Area, Training Center, Teleport Bay (All Zones Accessible), Hangar (With An Actual Spaceship), as well as an unfinished office area and Command Center/Meeting Room (Waiting on the AES badge) -
The GDF picked up seven new members thanks to the event last night. Can't wait for the next one. Thanks again to those who planned the event. I hope the event was a success for all the groups involved and everyone who went there looking to join a SG.

I love that they added these hacked TPs to bases. Here's a few pictures of how I set mine up. Only beacon I'm missing is for the RWZ; that is going next to the DA beacon. Haven't finished the room yet, but the TPs are fully functional.

Someone should ask about Kheldian sashes and see if we'll ever get them.

All of those look awesome, NH! If you're still open for requests, I'd love something for my Peacebringer, Dawnshift. Here's a quick reference sheet:
Thanks in advance! -
I've really been slacking on getting some new drawings of my main character, Dawnshift. I think it's been at least a couple years since I last got a commission of him. Anyway, here's his updated look:

Quote:Wait, when has the game ever been down for over 20 hours at once, let alone in the past month? Sounds like someone needs to learn how to tell time. The OP is right! The game has been down at LEAST 3-4 times per week over the last month. Sometimes 2-4 hrs, MOST TIMES its 8+ hours. And a few days the game was down for over 20 hrs!
As great as Freedom is, us VIP members are paying for a Month of gametime, not three weeks of gametime. We are OWED at least 2-3 days credited to our account for all the time lost due to ridiculous maintenance and patching. All VIP members, that is. -

Despite a couple of crashes during the event, I had a great time. You guys did an awesome job on the club and I look forward to another one of these events in the future!
-
It's not just you. I can't log in after trying a couple times now.
-
After reading this thread, I'm convinced that many people here have no lives at all. To complain because a /video game/ is down for necessary maintenance is just pathetic. I honestly don't care if you think you deserve the game to be running 24/7 because that just isn't going to happen. The game has been down for maybe a day when you add up all the maintenances this entire month. You guys are really complaining about that? Grow up, children. Get out of your computer chairs and go do something else until the game is back up.
-
All this whining and entitlement BS makes me sick. Seriously people, c'mon.
-
I literally facepalm everytime someone complains about the servers being down for any amount of time. Seriously, go outside or something for a couple hours or run some errands. It's a game. It will have downtime. Live with it and stop complaining about something so insignificant.

Quote:I love all of the i21 changes to Peacebringers. I have perma Inner Light/Hasten/Light Form now so that's a major plus. I was fine with the puff ball look of the old Light Form but I definitely like seeing my character more when I use it now.I'm curious since we have the legends of the AT here, what do Plasma and Matt King think of the change to Lightform so it no longer turns you into a ball of light? Like it or not like it?
Do you think it's a good trade off for the increased utility and perm?
Not trying to start anything I'm just curious since you're both well known members of the Kheldian community -
Guess we'll find out tomorrow. I thought they would have announced that part though if it was truely going live for the free players tomorrow.

Here's my Human-Only PB build. It's served me pretty well so far.

I agree with all of those, Steelclaw. Very nice ideas!

ITT: People getting upset over insignificant things
Guys, if you don't like it, don't play it. It's that simple. If you do play it, you don't actually have to hold everything it says to be gospel. No one is holding a gun to your heads saying "Everything in this arc must be canon to your character's story forever and ever!" Just relax and enjoy them for what they are: new, fun missions for a low-level villain.
