Okay, Ltn_Frost, I have two questions here.
First off, how the heck did you do the 'pillows' on that bed. I've pretty much figured out how you did the rest - although I'm still scratching my head over the footrail posts.
Second, you have a 'handle' on the shower door. I've seen that on a few refridgirators. How the heck do you get that in there. I've searched through everything, and have yet to come across anything remotely like that that I feel I could use. -
People have been asking why the winter beasts couldn't also drop random candy canes on defeat. I think this would be a great idea, and actually deal with a number of problems:
1.
This will reduce the amount of complaints of wayward Frostlings wandering around for low-level toons to run into as high-level toons will now have a reason to deal with them even after having obtained the defeat badge.
2.
A greater number of canes would more than likely lead to a lowering of prices on the market, as more canes available mean fewer players paying outlandish prices to get more canes then they can get with 2+ hours of present opening.
3.
I can understand that the 'Scrooge-like' aspect of canes was probably in an attempt to block another farming attempt from the RMT'ers - but who is to say that they wern't farming the BNY mishs anyways? This can be eliviated by the increase in cane drops.
In addition, could we please have it so that all members of the team gets the cane, not just whomever opened the present? I belive that this would lead to more Winter Lord teams throughout the zones. (As opposed to several in AP, along with the lone one I was on in KR.) -

Costume Pieces - New Costume Pieces would be nice (Fur lined skirts, maybe gloves/boots that are fur lined but don't have that buckle on them, maybe a Snow Man head similar to the Pumpkin Head from Halloween.)
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed, especially for female characters. The boots especially are way to masculine for my characters to want to wear. How about something like this.

/signed, /signed, /signed...
...and did I say /signed?
The girls of The Flying Stilettos Sorority just can not attend all the festive parties in those clunky-heel monstrosities.
I mean, how hard would it be to code a fur lining around the already available stilettos leather knee boot? (Okay, the code for the second colour might be a bit more tricky.) -
You know, I've lost count of how many freespecs I've lost - and with 60 alts, 2/3 of which I hardly ever play, that can really add up.
I did do a respec on Burgundy Flame to swap out Hover for Air Superiority, and have to do the same for the rest of her sorority sisters as well.
(Mind you, this doesn't include the veteran's reward freespecs I have.)
And Icon tokens??? Well, All-American Teen currently has 18, and I've used plenty for her in the past two years.
I short, I don't let that part of the game bother me as much as, say, the problems with the base bug where I can't hang or move stuff right up to the west and south walls. -
Update...
Okay, it looks like it was my firewall program. (I swear, if I could find a better and more reliable firewall then ZoneAlarm, I'd swap it in in a heartbeat.)
So, I'm putting the sorority house back in - provided I can actually get something built in there. -
Sadly, not being able to log into the game for the past 48 hours - and having to reboot my computer every time I've tried since the hotfix yesterday morning - it is looking more and more likely that I may have to take The Flying Stilettos Sorority off of this list.
I have an active ticket with support, but have only heard once today, almost 12 hours ago - as opposed to 4 times in 4 hours last night - I don't know when if ever I'll be getting back on.
I have all these great ideas for the newly expanded base, and have all the rooms in place waiting for me to decorate, patiently sitting empty. If I'm able to do anything by the time tours are put together I'll update you as to my base's status. -
I know I'm gonna get a lot of snowballs thrown my way, and called Scrooge for saying this, but...
May I humbly suggest that the Winter Event be suspended until all major issus and bugs revolving around Issue 13 - including client server stability issues - are resolved. As I have said in /bugs, /petitions, PMs and on these forums numerous times, all the shinies in the world are worthless if you can not enjoy them properly.
I'd also suggest that the following new items be postponed until I13 issues are resolved:
-Mac platform playability.
-double XP weekends.
-Valentines Day event (if these problems persist until February).
In short, I would like to see the devs working on nothing else but I13 issues, to the exclusion of everything else, until the major problems with it are resolved.
-or-
I'd like to see the devs finally come out and say they're sorry, fully admiting that I13 is irrevically broke. And then take that which was broken by it back to the starting point - and either leave it alone or start again with less loftier goals. -

LOOOOOVE the name!!!

Thanks.
It just came to me, and I just didn't have the heart to turn it away into the cold dark night.
Oh, and sorry for forgetting earlier, welcome to the mayhem Sunstorm. -
<ul type="square"> [*] Group Name: Flying Stilettos Sorority[*] Server: Infinity[*] Side: Blue-side[*] Approximate Size/Cost: 8x12 / aprox. 2M prestige put into base, including decorations.[*] Anything else peritnent: Small fun SG, set up as personal SG but includes at least one other player who is still around.[/list]
The one alt I have in this group will probably get more love from me once I pull All-American Teen to 50. Then you'll probably see more.
For now, there's not that much to see, as it's more or less a straightforeward functionairy base. Once i13 goes live, I'll probably expand the base and add in a few more rooms for decoration - we have plenty of prestige banked from the prestige bonus last year.
And while I might redo the hottub completely in a new room, the wood-panel pub is staying more or less as it is. -
Due to a combonation of RL commitments and other online things, I was unable to participate in the event as much as I would have liked. And while I know that with 60 toons, I would never be able to get everything for all of them, I felt that I was able to get things for fewer of them then I would have liked.
First off, my results:
-no. of toons used during event: 8
-no. of toons who received every badge: 2
-no. of toons who where one badge away: 1
-no. of levels made while in event: at least 5, possibly 6
-no. of toons who got all the salvage for costume slot: 2
(Both pending, as they are both too low in level to even think about going to Nerva to collect now.)
(The other six already had their extra costume slots from last year.)
-no. of full sets of salvage collected: I lost count around 20-22
Now, a few comments and observations:
First off, kudos to the devs for admitting that something had gone wrong with the spirits, and that it could not be fixed by the end of the event. It would have been nice if it could have been - thankfully one of my toons that had everything had the Buster badge from last year, and the other already had several spirits on her list from last year.
The frequency of the zombie attacks, however, was dissapointing. I feel that I spent too much time having my toon waiting around twiddling her thumbs waiting for the next attack. This was because of the fact that I would have a toon in an attack, and then check afterwards to find that she was short either of the level 3 or level 4 (or both) badge. Yes, I could have logged onto another toon to play with and then log back to the first toon, but I was worried that I would have missed the attack on the first one.
As I said before, it would have been nice if spirits showed up more often.
In my opinion - and others, after talking with them - the worst, and most frustrating, monster were the wearwolves. I personally found that they moved far faster than they should have, and that they were immune to all forms of holds. (In fact, there were times that they moved so fast that the running animation could not keep up and it looked like they had the slide movement power.)
Next on the list was a tie, vampire and streng. Vampires were olny slightly as aggrivating as wearwolves, but were slower and could occasionally be held. The frustration level with streng was that there was no badge associated with killing them.
Then, there were times when I felt that the number and level of enemy from any one door was too much - such as numerous times when I saw a wearwolf, vampire and sorceress appear at the same time.
Also, I felt that the 'trick' to 'treat' ratios were all over the map. There were times where I would see 10-12 tricks in a row, and times where I would see 2-4 treats in a row. I understand that it is made to be random, but felt that it was skewered a bit too much to the trick side.
Enochi/Jack; quite a lot of confussion here. According to Paragonwiki, Jack will spawn 10% of the time during any one spawn in a zone, Enochi will do so the rest of the time. I ran into a number of players who still believed that you had to take down Enochi 9 or so times in order to spawn Jack. This would turn into a bout of tedium as you already had your Hollowed badge, and went around taking down Enochi after Enochi in the hopes that Jack would finally show up to get that last badge - possibly you and your teammates having killed off enough unseelie to get the other elusive badge.
The other bout of tedium was in trying to get all 3 of the costume badges, as by then my toons would have almost all their other badges, and there would really be no need to deal with the enemy that showed up, save for xp. This, I belive, led to a number of people just knocking on doors and running away, leaving the enemy to wander around. (Much like during the Winter event where people would go open presents, and leave the frostlings for others.)
I did have an interesting way of dealing with this. I'd stake out a place near a hospital, tram station or ferry, and then go knock on doors close to that point. If it was a treat - especially a costume - I would move on. If it were a trick, I would quickly run back to the camp spot and hope that the drones would make quick work of what was following me. Now, I made sure that I did this in an area that didn't have any other toons around who might get hurt, and only at late hours of the zone. This actually worked, and the only time that I had to fall back and hope the second drone did it's job was when a wearwolf was fast enough to get past the first. (See my comments above on this.)
All in all, I did enjoy myself. There were a few idiots that I ran into during ToT PUGs - such as a couple of folks who kept on insisting on opening doors while we were still dealing with monsters, or who insisted on running into battle not fully healed - but you find that with any PUG. -
Thanks. I thought it was just me.

I've found one problem in the article on New Haven. It's something that I've seen repeated on other sites dealing with badges in Cap au Diable.
You cannot enter the WSPDR building and ride an elevator up to the roof to get to the Media Junky badge. I tried yet again on all four sides of the building, and on all four sides I recieved the "You cannot enter." message. I should know, I tried this with a toon when I first read this years ago - and nearly got my butt handed to me by Goldbrikers - and again just last night. I had the same results both times.
Thank you. -
I agree with Epic, the TF is just way too laggy. Not to mention that there seems to be way too many baddies for a team that size.
I for one am ready to call for a boycott of ALL task forces until the devs do something about:
-The third mish, with the 'field-o-death' (literally) near the end, that seems to lead to massive death-lag.
-Those damn surgeons, who seem to heal at a rate that defenders can only dream about.
-Make a way we can tell which Nictus is which; not to mention have a way we *CAN* pull one of them or Rommie apart.
I'm rather ticked off that I apparently wasted an entire evening trying to do this, only to end up with one level - I was near to it anyways - and over 30K in debt. Not to mention that at one point on a second try, I nearly suffered a one-shot death in the first mish.
And you say they rushed it to compete with a new game? It'll look real good on their faces if that one tanks on its own anyways. -

Wait... where are the pin-ups to go with the calendars? Ms. Liberty, Swan, Sister Psyche, War Witch... all in naughty poses.
And hell, you can make one for the girls too... Posi (helmet ON please), Statesman (lets see how big that cape really is), Synapse, Manticore... where are their naughty calendar pinups???

And what about Mirror Spirit and Flower Knight? I want to see those two Asian beauties in something nice.
Or how about Fussionette and Penelope Yin in a fun little pillow fight? -
So cool, finally got one of my characters in the paper - Kosuki Sasaki, who won one of the cc's at the Teen Bash in Galaxy.
Now, I need to ask, what's up with all the hype over being first after a redname in these threads? -
Not having a hospital in The Hollows is the reason why nearly all of my heros got Hover as their first power pool power. Then trip it out with as much flight speed enhancements as possible.
But as I said to my friends last night, "A MSH in The Hollows? Okay, who wants to take bets on how many M*A*S*H in-jokes will show up there." -

My god, man! Think of the offspring! A giant, jello-tentacled monster with irresitable damage, that no one wants to fight, that's nearly impossible to beat, and that spawns every five minutes?
I'm cringing just imagining it.
And what of the wedding night? Oh god, I just pictured that. I think I have to go lie down now.

"Oh no, worst nightmare of Sushigirls everywhere!
AAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Excuse me a moment.

Sorry about that, she's getting really jumpy as she inches closer and closer to level 20. -
About the Visa gift-cards, I believe that this issue came up before, and it was posted that they aren't available up here in Canada for whatever reason.
Also, I just checked the Muchmusic - Canada's MTV - website to check whether or not my financial institution had finally signed on with them. Not only has Scotiabank not signed on, they are not taking any new applications as of this moment.
And I agree, NCSoft giftcards would be fantastic. -
My problem aside from the cost is that you can only buy it with a credit card. I use timecards, I won't be able to get this, or any other online option like this in the future if I continue with timecards.
(And I hope this isn't a harbinger to come for timecards eventually being discontinued.)
If I really wanted this, and I'm balking at the price, I would have to ask one of my friends to purchase a code for me with their cc and I just pay them.
Secondly, since part of the pack includes stockings, think that we'll see stocking options other than 'Fishnet' in I12 or other future update? -

Don't worry, next year we will be able to buy the badges.
My suggestion is that there is a french olympic judge relaxing in the ski lodge, pay her some INF and she will give you any medal you want!

Nonono, that's for skating, not skiing.

Just thought I'd mention this here - and if someone has already, then I appologize.
While we are being told that the option for displaying our friends list is set to 'enabled', or hidden, it is actually set to 'disabled'.
I went through all my toons tonight (just to see how long it took me to go through the marathon sessions starting next week) and took the time to reset that to 'enabled' on all of them.
And if you're wondering, it took me just over two hours to go through all of them - although I was fixing dinner for part of that time while I was doing this. -
After talking with my friend today, I have a question regarding the SG bonus prestige. Is the 20K per SG member for all members or just the first 15 - like when you start up a SG in the first place?
-
One question. How close is Annah to the zone entrance in Croatoa or Granny Beldam in Nerva? I have onle one level 25 hero and no villians that high - closest is level 22.
Just curious, as I'd like to know if I can get my slightly lower toons there without getting roasted. -
I do have a question, as I have pics of my one lone male toon in front of a couple of elevators - like in some mish maps - but with noone else in the pics. As I read the rules, this wouldn't be allowed. Is this really a hard and fast rule?
And yes, as I said, I only have the one male toon - the other 54 are all female. Not only that, these pics were taken when I had long hair, in a ponytail. Now, even though it would be a since to recreate the costume with what I have in my closet - leather biker jacket, slacks and gloves - I've since cut my hair and don't want to have to buy a clip-on extension just for a couple of pics.
Trust me, the toon is a dead ringer for me at the time. I just have to see about leveling him up enough to get an office mish to pose him by an elevator. -
The Flying Stilettos Sorority
A new SG - just five weeks old - that hopes to build and grow.
I guess you could say that the owner is Burgundy Flame - although it started out as just a private group for my 12 alts. And while we do have a base, we don't have telepads as of yet.
The only requirements area:
-A female toon with stilettos - heels, strappys or thigh-highs allowed - on their costume. (However, please, no nudes.)
-Bios arn't required, but I feel that they add to the enjoyment of the game.
-Be courtious to others in the game, be it another sister or anyone from the Infinity community. Whether it be help in a mish or just a shoulder to cry on, we won't judge.
-Contrary to our name, your toon does not have to be able to fly.
-We are a young group, but won't insist that you grind prestige and salvage for us five days a week. All I would ask is that you drop by at least once a week and help out where you can. (We do ask that you drop off at least some of your salvage to the group, so that we are able to build up.)
-We ask that if you come across someone who you feel would make a good addition to the SG - after asking if they want to join first - contact one of the Presidents or First Sisters to let them know. I personally don't agree in actively recruiting just to get new members to do the prestige grind.
-If you're going to be away for an extended period of time - I know that everyone needs a vacation from time to time - please let one of us know.
The only thing that I feel we won't be is a raiding SG.
If you are interested in joining, or have more questions, please give me a global tell - @Grey Whispers1 - and I'll try to help.
