The test server was actually great for that....until they took away the 36 mil prestige for starting a SG.
36 doesn't get you everything, but it was plenty to learn with. -
The base editor isn't really that complicated, once you understand power and control and what sort of things you need.
What is a problem, is that even in a trusting SG that hands out ranks like candy, you do not want more than, say 3-4 people working on the base. Any more and you're not going to be able to stay up-to-date with each other, and long term planning goes out the window as different people are deleting and crafting different items. Or you get the person who really doesn't understand the base editor and really does start messing things up. -

I'd say Nemesis.
I have no actual backup to support that claim, but I blame Nemesis for everything. I swear it seems he's been responsible for over half of everything that's happened in Paragon's history, and more. Hell, it's probably Nemesis' fault I woke up before my alarm this morning. And I'm sure it was part of some grand, over-arching scheme to collect the unused sleeping energy of the world's populace to fuel a hypnobomb or somesuch.

Mote? But yea, I was mostly doing these around Nov-Dec of 2004. This was long before CoV, so the basic idea is that one player would play a Mentor (with up to 8 heroes and additional 'generic heroes' at a time) and the other would play a Mastermind (with tons of NPC minions, bosses, etc, and one or two AVs).

About 2 years ago I was making a version of Magic the Gathering using CoH themes, I actually got pretty far until I realized that for all the time it took, no one would actually play it. Just wondering if it's going to be more in the range of 3 winners or 15...or more, I've never been to a con myself. I know there's going to be a thousand entries, wondering what my odds are (Not to mention, I wouldn't be surprised if your Pocket D fills up with contestants....probably a good idea to get there early >.>. I have to say, the one example you have looks pretty good for simply a sketch.

In either case, the presence of the mask really annoyed me. If it was the same mask Vanessa has, then it mucks up the backstory a heck of alot. And even if it isn't the same mask, it destroys the freshness of the Carnies and plops Vanessa into the same old returning villain catagory.
