Quote:I don't notice Hasten - because I turned my particle count down to 100 because Super Speed BLINDS ME otherwise.Hasten. Hasten. Hasten. Has ANYONE managed to make a costume that actually looks better with the little yellow pom poms? For me, its always, "yay! I made a dark and brooding badass of a villain and now im ready to kick--oh yea, forgot to activate hasten. Now my badass of a villain looks like a cheerleader." And its not like i can refuse to take it. Its just too useful on the vast majority of builds.

Double the softcap and capped resistances to everything would trivialize the iTrials. Which would be a BIG no-no in the devs book.

Quote:Null the Gull can disable the movement modifications - and I'm probably going to have to turn them off (not because of one application, but 2, 3 or 4).I love my Dark/Dark scrapper for this and many other reasons. I wouldn't change the power at all.
My problem is Speed Boost. Specifically on the above mentioned scrapper. I cannot tell you how irritating it is to run into a wall as fast as I can or shoot over enemies that I have targeted because someone buffed me. The worst part is that on the occasions that does happen, just when I get used to it, it wears off and I have to readjust my fighting style every four minutes. -
Antimatter pulse. That's my complaint with the trial as a whole. Of course, Disintegration is almost impossible to keep track of - just because you see them shout it, doesn't mean you can find their name in the league (my league window is usually small due to MSR runs).

Quote:What would you consider a modest buff? 10% Def/Res? 15%? 20%? If that was the case (15 or 20), that would be grossly overpowered in Trials (same for most of the other destiny powers) since you would have that bonus at all times - 20*5 = 100% Def/Res to all - and if you all took it as a T4 Core, it would be permanent.I should have mentioned earlier that barrier also bugs me. I would rather have it apply a steady defense buff for its' entire duration than the ridiculous, unnecessary buff that declines to next-to-nothing rapidly.
When I find myself in situations where I need extra defense, I'm usually playing pretty proactively and it's difficult to stare at my frickin' combat attributes, trying to time when I have to click a couple of purples just right.
It would just be more logical in my opinion for it to provide the same exact bonus the whole time the power is on... Edit: Obviously not the massive buff, but a modest and practical one. Anyways, that's my tangent.
Destiny is frontloaded to keep it balanced in Incarnate Content - where other people have it as well. -
I went Spirtual Core Paragon for this reason.
1 Nucleus
1 Hecatomb: Dam (I use the rest of Hecatomb in Midnight Grasp)
1 Numina H/E/R 33
1 Numina H/E 33
1 Numina H 33
33.3% Acc (boosted by purples, LoTG sets, etc)
84.67% Dam
39.15% End Redux (DM/EA - multiple end management tools)
105.46% Heal
62.4% Recharge (Siphon Life has a 10s recharge, and EA gives me massive +Rech when combined with set bonuses)
Going for a redline across the board... Lemme try some stuff. I'll edit this in a few minutes.
Edit: Best I could do without using a Hecatomb damage, nucleus, or enhancement Boosters was using a Spiritual Radial Boost (Tier 2)
Touch of the Nictus Acc/End/Heal
Doctored Wounds Heal/End/Rech
Doctored Wounds Heal/End
Level 50 Damage IO Enhancement
Crushing Impact Acc/Dam
Crushing Impact Dam/End
For a total (post Alpha) enh value of:
Acc: 47.70%
Dam: 91.78%
End: 91.78%
Heal: 99.63%
Rech: 54.20%
(All numbers are post ED)
I'll post the non Alpha build in a minute.
EDIT 2: Edit Harder
Okay here's what I've got:
Doctored Wounds H/E/R
Doctored Wounds H/E
Level 50 Heal IO
Level 50 Damage IO
Crushing Impact A/D/E
Crushing Impact D/E
Acc: 21.2%
Dam: 88.07%
End: 91.78%
Heal: 88.07%
Rech: 21.2%
No Alpha, No Rare IOs, no Boosters, No Hami-Os. -
Quote:I could see it being *maybe* useful if you put it on Desdemona during the Underground Trial. This, actually.
I find most powers useful, even ones most people go "That needs to be pulled from the game." But sonic repulsion... I've tried to come up with some reason to use it. I've got several Sonic Resonance characters - two at 50. So I've had time to play with the set in pretty much every situation.
I actually can't think of a single time I'd use this.
The only use I can find for it is "I have more slots than I need, I can burn 2 or 3 and fit a Knockback set in here for 3 points of KB protection." As the *ONLY* real use. I've never had a time since Issue 5 where I thought, "Hey, I'd like to put some repelling rings on someone ELSE and have them do whatever and knock stuff away!"
Solo, this is useless. I can't put it on myself. As a Controller, I don't want to put it on my pets. Either that or I have everything immob'd, so it wouldn't do anything but cost END. As a Defender or Corruptor, I don't have anything to put it ON.
... actually, Masterminds MIGHT have a use for this, if pet AI were better, but even then there are better options.
If I could put them on ME, so I could corner some mobs and keep them there, it'd be much more useful. But I'd never want to put this on someone *else.*
Myself? Other than Dimension Shift, Wormhole. The power takes so long to activate that the enemies can fire back at you, the AoE Radius is so small you'll NEVER be able to hit all of a spawn (especially since it can miss), and the relocation can get you kicked from teams. Also - Propel for Dominators - a power that does less damage than Mind Probe, for 3 times the activation time? Absolutely pointless. -
Quote:Enhancement scaling will cut your values in half - meaning you'd need 2 SO's worth of accuracy to soft-cap against even cons. Those of us with IOed build will need yellows to hit things with any ease - and that Ruin Mage at the end of the first mission makes things more tricky.Sorry, but even exemped, you're STILL ridiculously overpowered compared to the content. Most of your attacks are 5/6 slotted at this point and your defenses are fleshed out.
Not a huge fan of going *that* low (even going to 25 annoys me on some toons). -
-
Wrong. The Stealth remains at all times - your character becoming visible is simply the devs reacting to people who wanted to see their character.
-
Altimus Onega on Infinity - a level 50 Grav/Psi Dominator with nearly 3 billion in enhancements (not to mention a T4 Spiritual Core Paragon).
Gravity is broken, and the strategy I developed to deal with said brokenness was itself demolished with the "Buffs" to Psionic Assault (sure, if you wanted damage from your secondary, the changes were a godsend - but I was using Psychic Scream and Shockwave as CONTROL).
I'm gonna respec him and strip him bare so my reimagineing (an Illusion/Time Controller) will make use of his Basilisk's Gazes and whatnot. Won't delete him, since I'm getting out of infinity, but I'm not gonna play him. At all. Ever.
(Except to check if my market bids have filled) -
-
Why is that? My Brute has difficulty maintaining more than half fury, and Tankers have higher base modifiers in both damage and survivability.
-
Mine soloed a Pylon the other day (I pulled a level 50 Chief Soldier for Energy Drain/Soul Drain/Dark Consumption/Entropic Aura benefits). It's amazingly effective against single targets, but you're completely lacking in AoE damage.
-
What's the cap on email attachments? Cause I've got a bunch of T4s I hold for emergencies - also, I'm not spending that much time emailing something I probably wont need. (My Brute has Tactics and Megalomaniac, and my Blaster has Clarion).
-
Bear in mind that you'll need to pick up those Break Frees that you bought BEFORE starting the trial - /auctionhouse doesn't work in trials anymore.
-
TL;DR (the following is my guess, but it makes sense)
Arc 1: 10-20
Arc 2: 15-25
Arc 3: 20-30
Arc 4: 25-35
Arc 5: 30-40
Arc 6: 35-45
Arc 7: 40-50
There. That's why - its a linear progression along your characters career. -
Recipes aren't worth the money - I only redeem for hot button T4 Insps during a heavy PVP time (early to mid evening) - I've been selling [Resistant]s for 20 million a piece, and my sales have never dropped below 10 million.
Even if they aren't hot, ill just convert to vouchers for my newer incarnates. -
The change to /auctionhouse is why I bought all the Vault Space, and half the salvage space - I'll sit at the university in Cap on my Brute and craft everything without needing to move, and my level 33 locked Fire tanker has plenty of salvage space so I can buy 1 or 2 extra of each type before entering the Crafter's Cafe (to ensure I don't run out in the midst of crafting my 20+ Recipes [bought the two trays as well]).
-
Really? Peach is my 3rd favorite character in Brawl (Behind Sonic and Lucario) and the Peach Bomber is the reason I play her so much.

Quote:Or, you know. You could just jump up and grab Chrononaut instead of waiting 21 days in Ouroboros.ParagonWiki list all the ways that you can get this badge. Chronologist badge is not listed there, but probably should be. Maybe the Devs need to revisit this and add afew more ways to that list.
-
Not exactly accurate - we now receive a badge for each year of subscription - so the 12, 24, 36, 48, etc. Month badges will give us 2 badges when we log in (and one Token for each of said 2 badges).

Dragos has been spending all this time targeting the BAF, Lambda, and that cursed Keyes Island over and over (he has terribad luck on the reward tables)
Deamus the Fallen has been amassing inf for the great "buffening" (where he splurges on Gladiator Armor uniques and Shield Wall sets) in preparation for his glorious return to Liberty.
