I am thankful that Thanksgiving was a month ago for me.

Quote:To be fair, this is during prime time for the european players so they probably could've started it a couple hours earlier.I would ask if you're joking but I know from your previous posts you aren't. Trend??? Gee.. in the past month or slightly more there have been almost no emergency fixes and downtimes have gotten back to normal. Is this 6 hour downtime sudden? Yup.. but guess what? It is par for the course with ANY MMO. You want to leave that's your choice.. but have fun hopping from game to game every 2 months because you will never ever get away from unexepcted downtime. Besides, for the majority of the playerbase this is done during a workday period to impact the least amount of players- just grow up and deal with it.

Quote:I thought that attacking with a snipe started the count down? The times I've tried we only had one or two snipe characters (I was on my Rad/Sonic Defender).the times that ive run for that badge, we always just had 5-10 poeple with snipes take out the bombs before they started even counting, its a little slower but basically guarenteed assuming nobody does a doodoo-dunderhead move and runs up through all of them

Preservation Specialist - Don't let any of the IDF bombs detonate in the Underground Incarnate Trial to earn this badge.
Every time I've been on a league that's attempted this we've failed in the final corridor since it's very difficult to down a bomb from maximum range - if you close in to use your most powerful attacks it triggers the countdown of the next bomb.
But, what if you could destroy every bomb at the same time? Consider:
- Cryonic Core Final Judgement, Cryonic Radial Final Judgement, Cryonic Partial Radial Judgement, and Several Vorpal Judgement powers (Both t4, and supposedly the two core T3s) have a range of 120 feet.
- Clarion Radial Epiphany gives +80% Range for 22.5 seconds.
- The range cap is +400%, meaning 5 CREs would cap all those with the Judgements I mentioned at 600 feet.
If everyone fired at once, how many would be needed to destroy all the bombs simultaneously (+2 or so to accommodate for misses), and would the max range be necessary for that final corridor?
EDIT: And before anyone asks, yes, Clarion Radial Epiphany DOES affect the range of those judgements - my Blaster has been using this combo for months. -
He is - all Bonuses from PVPIOs will exem down to level 1 just like purples - including the SW and GA Uniques.
Quote:Of course, it has to be both desirable and rare to be as expensive as it is. If you could get a Gladiator's Armor as easily as you can get a Steadfast Protection, it would remain equally desirable, but probably only cost about as much as the Steadfast Protection. Last I checked them, it's about 10,000 times more expensive.
Of course after doing the math, I now realise you were probably using hyperbole for effect. -

If you want to see the AO sets go to the auction house, turn off autocomplete, and search for the AT you want - I'd recommend restricting your search to 50 to 50 to prevent a hang with your system.
-
See I like to market late at night or early in the morning (since I can't get on a team, I might as well make some scratch), so I don't get this unless I get impatient. Unfortunately, I get impatient at least once per log in - get locked out - keep my cool afterward.
-
Quote:The other thing to keep in mind is that you might NEED that PVPIO and it isn't produced enough to be purchasable in a short period of time - my 2b bids on the level 50 Gladiator Armor uniques took around 1 week to fill back in the aftermath of 2xp, but the most recent bid I placed was nearly 3 weeks ago and hasn't filled. Now, from a more practical perspective, I think I'd rather just craft 1 recipe and sell off market for 2.5 billion than to do all that crafting. But, if you've got alt-itis and you play all of your toons on a regular basis, taking 10-15 minutes a day to craft the randoms seems like the better deal.
This is why I locked my stalker at 33 - even if I CAN afford a Gaussian's Synchronized Fire Control: End/Rech level 33, it doesn't matter if the last one to hit the market was nearly 3 months ago (Recipe OR enhancement). -
Quote:I thought it was incarnate XP that was changed to apply to the league, not threads (thread drop rates were simply scaled up with league size AFAIK)I don't think anyone reading my posts thinks I ever joke about badges.
The % damage rule for teams has been around since the beginning of badges. It was reduced to 10% from 20% years ago. Leagues are new, and never consider multiple teams in a league as one team. Players had to ask and wait for a long time to get credit for thread drops across the league. I doubt the league system could handle badges like the Banners. -
Quote:To be fair, all 3 arcs in question on both sides give badges, so you're going to run them anyways.a few corrections here-the 5th column gladiator is now granted either by having both anniversary badges OR running barracuda sf OR running dr kahn tf
about the new arcs requiring the prereq arcs even through ouro flashbacks was really annoying, i dont believe its a bug but it may be (it wasnt highly mentioned in the beta) -
Quote:We're probably gonna finish Cole before we even unlock Vitae/Genesis, let alone Omega.I want a choice of several ways to "deal with" Cole, including the option to actually remain a Loyalist and help him with his plans.
I know it won't happen since it would be too out of synch with the game's overall plot, but I still want it... just like I still want an option to help Scirocco actually perform his big ritual to wipe out the evil in the Isles instead of having to betray him in his patron arc.
Also never gonna happen, but we can dream...
But if Cole ends up being a trial then I do hope it's more of an avatar of the Well / Cosmically Empowered Super-Cole sort of thing since once we reach full Incarnate power we're supposed to be stronger than any of the Incarnates who took the "quick and easy" path like Stateman, Recluse, and Cole. If it takes 24 of us to beat him then either that won't be true or the Cole Trial will take place before we fully unlock all 10 Incarnate slots, and I really don't want the Big Bad that we get all this power to go up against to turn out to be some stupid uber-Shivan or something. Or Nemesis. Or Nemesis possessing the body of an uber-Shivan while mind controlling the Well into mind controlling all the other Incarnates into doing a bunch of stuff that turns out to all be part of some stupid 3,000 step master plan.Seriously... I'd really like the final Tier 10 Incarnate challenge to be a final showdown with Cole.

Dear developers: If you add Warburg Nukes to the store, make redeeming them count toward Rocketman - I'll drop the 800 points right now.

Quote:I turned off xp on my Fire/Ice tanker and my EM/Regen stalker - my tanker grinds tickets solo, then spends them on Bronze Rolls - My i21 Builds called for lots of Doctored Wounds/Efficacy/etc. My Stalker grinds tips for A Merits - when my Beam/Nrg blaster hit 33 I turned off xp so I can grind the 10 tips and then run SSAs for easy rolling potential - all my 50s use A-Merits for things like Performance Shifter Procs and LoTGs (I don't like a random roll that has no possibility of giving me something usable).I find that Random Rolls + Crafting far outweigh going for LotG. My average Hero Merit roll at level 50 nets (not gross) me 118 million per merit at the moment, with my unsold stock averaged in (see link in sig). LotG recharge would have to be selling for 260 mil to match that. When I checked the market today, lvl 25 LotG were going for 130-140 mill crafted and that appeared to be the high price. Level 50 IOs sell quickly, usually within a day for most. Level 33 rolls are netting me more profit, but sell slowly.
It is more work, though, and I can understand how some people prefer the quicker and easier route.
I don't necessarily sell them - the Performance Shifters are for my TW/WP, and so are the LoTGs I make. Usually I make a huge amount from random rolls in the end, but I just can't bring myself to "Waste" them (rolling with no possibility of benefiting from it). -

Quote:Some temporary powers with limited charges or duration cannot be deleted either - after each Khan I like to fire off the dimensional grounding ray to get rid of it, since I can't delete it.It's listed under temp powers but it is permanent. When they ported it over, they just copied the Halloween Temp power text.
If you right click on the power in the powers window, you'll notice there's no option to delete it whereas if you right click on other temp powers, you can delete the power. -

Basically if you don't have Energy Cloak active it'll function like Against All Odds or any Damage Aura, and it will give you some recharge whether any enemies are in range of the power or not.
If Energy Cloak IS active, then things get a bit more complicated:
- The recharge bonus will only work while you are within range of an enemy and "revealed" (cloak's graphical effects suppress).
- You can run past an enemy (using Super Speed or a stealth proc) without them noticing you, but if you get caught on one for more than a second or two you will be revealed and will taunt the group (along with anything you run past while revealed).
- Although your character becomes visible to you, energy cloak's stealth remains active. Note however, your character can be forced into "revealed mode" by being harmed by an attack, including ranged attacks.
I'll update this with more detail if I think of anything. -
Lots of new powersets became available with i21. Players (Like myself) like to PL to level 22 (SO range) and run regular content - such as First Ward. With auctionhouse more widely spread, players can post salvage quickly and easily.
It's simply that there are more players in the mid-level range than normal. The big question is whether numbers will creep back up or stay lower. -
Grats! My DM/EA Brute soloed the Radio (it was a short arc so I could ouro without wasting much time) with no Judgement, Lore or Destiny (I Did, however, use my Blood Widow AND kept her alive the whole time). I might try it again on a higher setting sometime after I've finished my build.

Quote:Speaking of dual blades I made a DB/WP Brute with the samurai armor... I had trouble with the name so I tried "Steel Samurai" (From Phoenix Wright) ...unsurprisingly it was taken, so I fell back on "Evil Magistrate" (The Villain from Steel Samurai's mytho's).Yeah, that makes a ton of sense... sorta as a fallback position when ideas don't abound. That was something I did early on when Dual Blades came out. I wandered around for a few hours in Mercy messing around with Kratos.
(That character got deleted pretty quickly.)

Quote:Make a tab with LFG as the only thing - it's not currently used. Alternatively, make your own channel and a tab for it (keep it private and don't allow any chatter). It's an ADMIN message (at least it was on Freedom) so it'll bleed into everything. You might want to make a seperate tab devoted entirely to NPC chatter. That's what I do, and it makes keeping up with the story a lot easier.
There's always paragonwiki too, I guess. That's how I *used* to figure out what was going on in a Task Force while I wasn't the leader =D -

I take it you didn't participate in Divided we Fall? If the two met our Hamidon would be jumpstarted by the genetic material from theirs. They'd join forces (even if they are from different earths, they still believe in the same thing).
