What are you thankful for?

Since that global American holiday is coming up soon - and I like to ask this every year:

What are you thankful for?

In terms of the game:

  • I am actually thankful for the conversion to the F2P system because it's allowed of my RL friends and some of my old Ingame friends to start playing the game with me
  • I'm thankful for the Virtue community for taking me in as I've always been in there and tolerating my insane global channel hijacks.
  • I'm thankful that someone finally explained to me how macros work.
  • I'm thankful that Moderator 13 and Moderator 7 both love sending me messages on the forum.
  • I'm thankful for those on the forum.
  • I'm thankful for the weekly UStreams because it's rare to find a game that has such constant and open communication between the developers and the players.

What am I thankful for in my Real Life?
  1. I'm thankful that I quit my hellish job last December and took most of the year off to regrow a soul. Or something resembling it.
  2. I'm thankful for my friends who accept that the fact that I just tend to "invite myself over."
  3. I'm thankful for my family although we tend to yell at each other a lot and block each other on Facebook. I'm still thankful for them.
  4. I'm thankful that my nearby Bottle King always has Bacardi, Verdi, & Opici on sale
  5. I'm thankful for the cats inhabiting my apartment (although I loathe cats) they are both "special" - one of them in a very short-bus-kind-of-way-special.
  6. I'm thankful I had the money to buy new brake pads and rotors when, after 11 years, I had finally grinded through the entire rotor apparently.
  7. I'm thankful for my family dogs and the all the wet noses that smother me when I come to visit me.

There's a million more things I'm grateful for, but I want to avoid "wall of text" for now

I'm thankful for still having the chance to study chemistry, despite having wasted far too many years of my life.

In-game I'm thankful for having people who love (or at least tolerate) me, even though I'm blunt to the point of rudeness and I hold a lot of deeply unpopular opinions.

I am thankful for having a very patient and understanding husband (I have been very moody lately, no not pregnant, I think I am going through Premenopause).

I am thankful for a very understanding and loving God.

I am thankful for all my "furry children"

I am thankful for having a roof over my head, clothes on my back and food in the fridge.

I am thankful that my husband has a decent paying job that is stable.

I'm thankful that pizza and beer are cheap. It's the little things in life that keep us going.

Ingame:

Thankful for purples, accolades, and mission resets.

Thankful for the tons of missions...though the AI is really not that smart, at least you can spice it up a bit.

Thankful for friends in PvE and PvP that keep it fun after close to seven years.

Thankful for Gleemail and Incarnate trials.

Out of game:

Thankful for loving family very supportive.

Thankful for University of Ottawa letting me earn a degree despite difficulties.

Thankful we got our Thanksgiving in October, turkey shortage for the Yanks, hahaha!

I'm thankful for a glass of scotch after work.

And I guess to be kind to the less fortunate I should say I'm grateful
to use 'work' and 'me' in a sentence.

while it annoys the heck out of me, and today was trying to bake me to death, its good to have a full time job, not a luxury a lot have. my job even seems to appreciate what i do..in between trying to kill me.

also, glad i have a family I am on good terms with. I hear people talk about not speaking to their brothers or parents for years, and that sounds very bad. while the standard arguments happen, my family is close, and my brother and i are best friends.

and the obvious one, health. I deal with enough people who have compromised health due to age or physical issues to take mine for granted.

and im happy i found a gym that fits my nocturnal schedule. now if i can find a similarly accommodating martial arts school, im golden

and, im thankful for what is coming out tommorow(well, later today) and on the 20th. my two favorite long running series hitting in one month.

and ingame. im thankful for finding a game where i can play a blue dragon that does martial arts. not something you see much, kinda specific really. and as of todays patch, he does even more martial arts, thanks to vorpal judgement.

Ingame...
-I'm thankful for my stepfather (who plays this game as well) for making me move to Virtue. Such a friendly community for me to quietly play in, or at times rampage in with a sugar high so furious that I fear for my own safety. @Leetdeth
-I'm thankful for City of Heroes as a whole, as it alone as been the sole connecting factor between my family through some miracle.
-I'm thankful that I can make characters that make me think about getting a VirtueVerse account, and some that don't even have an Info section.
-I'm thankful that I can make anything I want to and succeed, unlike some other MMOs.
-I'm thankful (in some odd way) that despite plastering my name everywhere and naming my characters literally the same thing each time, no one has yet to figure out who I am.

In real life...
-I'm thankful for my stepdad being one of the best people I know. I know too many people that have terrible foster parents, or even real parents, so I know I'm blessed.
-I'm thankful for knowing all of the people I do. In more ways than one, I wouldn't be where I am without the help of others.
-I'm thankful for having an awesome cat that defies reality. He seriously should be dead already.
-I'm thankful for being crazy. I don't think I would've made it this far in life if I weren't completely bonkers.

Pie.

I used to fiddle with my back feet music for a black onyx. My entire room absorbed every echo. The music was . . . thud like. The music was . . . thud like. I usually played such things as rough-neck and thug. Opaque melodies that would bug most people. Music from the other side of the fence.

I am thankful that two of my fellow Canucks (one, a fellow Bramptonian, no less!) mentioned October so I didn't have to.

Thank you, Champion.
