Quote:I'm going to contradict this and say that I have never seen people kicked from teams because they didn't have set bonuses, or because they were deemed incapable of "keeping up" for a speed run (although if you're lagging behind in what was clearly advertised as a speed run, then yeah, people will probably get miffed, and rightfully so). Maybe it's different on other servers or if you're joining teams that are just forming through Broadcast, but if you find the right server with the right global channels*, it shouldn't be an issue.Be wary of TFs that advertise as 'speed'. There is a chance that the leader will check your info to see if you can keep up. I have seen players not even invited or kicked off because they didn't have enough set bonuses. 'Master of' runs may be especially picky too.
Master runs are a whole different beast, and justifiably so in some cases. It's not as much of an issue these days with Incarnate powers flying around, but if a MoLRSF is forming, currently has 7 people, one of which is not a Mind Dom (or Troller, now), and you're not that, you probably aren't getting in unless the leader takes pity on you, in which case be prepared to fail that Master run.
*The right server is Pinnacle and the right global channel is PinnBadges. FYI. -
I was under the impression that devs weren't supposed to reveal the global of their personal account.

I take exception with the entire premise of this thread. No self-respecting super-villain is going to file a bug report, it's easier to cause mayhem when things aren't working right. Hell, super-villains are the main cause of most bugs. Sometimes giant ones with radioactive eyebeams!

Well to be fair, Shatner was reportedly kind of obnoxious to work with, but everyone else has gotten over it except Takei, because he and Takei are two of a kind.

You realize now they're just going to raise the price of the single pieces.

To be fair, you're gonna have a pretty hard time spreading Disintegration at low levels solo since you're not typically going to be surrounded by very many enemies, so density is lower. It may end up being a late-blooming set.

Everyone is SKed to the team leader, so only the team leader gets credit.

Since we've apparently devolved into Star Trek references:
"In a different reality, I could have called you friend." -

I kinda get the feeling that Jenny will be quietly forgotten, at least by Moffat (no telling what the next showrunner will do).

It saddens me to think that these two men will take this feud to their respective graves.
Two egomaniacs who are too stubborn to admit that they may have been wrong once or twice in their lives.

Me too.
Here, have a Mantrid "Haters gonna hate" gif:

I had the same thought. Makes me think people will enter the First Ward thinking it's a PvP zone, only to be let down.
To which I say "good", because PvP is dumb and anyone who feels disappointment regarding anything about the First Ward rightly deserves it. -
The guide on Power Pools lists Fitness among the rest.
Nice work. -
Quote:Exclamation point!I don't mean this to be mean or unpleasant. I honestly mean this as an attempted analysis as to why you get the weird responses you do. I think it comes down to, what an editor might call, an enthusiastic usage of the exclamation point (and at times, of the question mark, too, but I don't think that's where the confusion lies). We can't hear tone of voice well via this medium, but the exclamation mark immediately makes one a degree or two more likely to consider the post to be intended to be read as a shout..

Quote:Actually the rules have changed; although direct comparisons are frowned upon, we're actually allowed to mention other video games by name again. No offense, but I cannot stand answers like this. According to board rules, we cannot discuss other games...so don't bother referring to them either. Doesn't really matter what other games that go f2p do...this is CoH, a game which has a more loyal following. We deserve better treatment.
Pong!
Super Mario Bros.!
Resident Evil!
See? It's okay again! -
I've hated the goggles look for Catwoman since the first time I saw it. It just looks silly. I'm glad they decided not to go with it.

Quote:Giving the devs the benefit of the doubt has been harder and harder to do, lately. The idea that they'd just outright remove the exploration badges from Galaxy is a little ridiculous, but they've done some other ridiculous stuff.Actually, in all seriousness (well, as much as I may muster for a short amount of time, at least)... And not just for the O.P.... While the above response is certainly true and a good rule to follow...
Also try to give people the benefit of the doubt and, more importantly, don't assume anything. Post and ask. Don't assume the developers would be so dumb and mean to remove those aspects (without some way of still achieving the same things).
I know it can be hard, when you encounter a lot of dimwits out and about, but it really pays to give people the benefit of the doubt (when the end result shouldn't result in daggers in the back or some sort of severe pain).
This message has been brought to you by me. -

I mean if I used that logic, surely my ice cream that tastes like poop, business would never fail, I mean if people don't like it they can just not buy it right?
I mean it's not like my ice cream boss in China will close my store if I make no money right?
