I feel like we're not gonna get anything more than a 24 hour's notice, and even then it will only be implicit via the standard announcement of patch downtime.
-
As I recall, using an Ouro crystal through your base to run a Flashback will grant the Ouroboros Portal, but not the Entrusted With the Secret badge.

There's really no reason that there can't be a Praetorian Infernal (the branching point is Infernal's destination from his home dimension -- after he left, you now have two versions of his home dimension; one where he went Primal, one where he went Praetorian), but I wouldn't cry too hard if he got retconned out, especially since the Praetorian storyline is pretty much getting tied up soon anyway. If they can find a way to work him in to where the storyline is going, great (ally of the Battalion? hmm???), but if I were the devs I wouldn't bend over backwards to do it.

It's a little late to be complaining about 30 year-olds playing 20 year-olds when 90210 (the original series; god I hate that I can say that) had the same concept only instead it was 30 year-olds playing teenagers.

Quote:Inherent Stamina was not new content nor was it even actually a revamp (it was a QoL change that likely consumed the most trivial amount of development resources). I reject your rejection. When Stamina was made base line that was "new content", so I reject the notion that revamping is not new content.
There is a reason why the Paragon team is allowing CoX players to choose to revamp a zone. They too realize you have to start to revamp the core of the game. Or adding in new textures in the costume creator that will actually look like tights instead of painted on look.
In short, I do not think there would be any complaints if one issue was dedicated to a revamp to breathe in the replay value of the game as a whole.
Like I said, they have already done revamps, and depending on how it's done it can be essentially indistinguishable from new content (see: the Hollows in Issue 12 vs. the Incarnate-level Dark Astoria revamp). But an entire Issue full of tiny little things like tweaking textures and only fixing a bunch of bugs instead of adding actual new stuff? There are definitely some bugs in this game that could use greater attention, but you can't do it all in one go, it needs to be done over time as much as can be managed while still fitting in real new content. Otherwise you end up with something like Issue 15.
And again, even if you do devote all your resources to just maintenance, you can still only fix what you figure out how to fix. The devs could work 24/7 on trying to figure out why Mastermind pets are complete morons and still not figure it out. It's not like working in a factory where you just hammer nails into a widget for X amount of time and when you're done you have Y widgets, so if you spend X+n time you end up with Y+m widgets.
Really this thread just blows me the hell away because I literally cannot wrap my head around the concept of more choices = fewer choices. The game is not without its flaws post-Freedom (lord knows it's not), but I don't think I've seen any criticism that has made any actual coherent sense. -
Boy, I can't wait to not watch that.

Quote:They actually do all of the things you mentioned (have you already forgotten about the Atlas Park and Dark Astoria revamps?), they just haven't and won't devote an entire Issue release to them because that would be moronic and the outcry from the community over a full release containing no actual new content would likely be quite larger than you seem to think it would be.It's honestly not that hard to 'get'.
It's the same old mentality that has been around forever; that 'New shiny!' is always better than 'Revamp', to the point that everything is ALL 'New Shiny' when some 'revamp' of the old junk would actually be hugely appreciated. Y'know, bug fixes, culling out pointless filler content and replacing it with actual story arcs, cleaning up the mess that is I0-1 content, etc etc. Revamping parts of the costume creator and it's UI...
Streamlining, basically. Rather than a hyper-active squirrel-dance from new fad to new fad.
Also, it's really easy to say "just fix the bugs", but a prerequisite to that is actually knowing how to fix them, which is not near as easy as people seem to think it is, especially in the spaghetti mess of code that the game has become over 8 years. Sometimes trying to fix something that's pretty horribly broken only makes it even worse, so it's definitely not trivial to get that done while continuing to put out new content so the playerbase doesn't get bored and move on to a game that's actually making new content. -
Quote:I only see one page of Featured Items and it's right there (admittedly, at the bottom of the list).I happily logged in to receive my free XP Booster/slap in the face!
It should probably not be buried on the second page of the Featured Items list, though. If one of the goals is to get more people to try the market, you probably want to make the freebie as easy to find as possible. -
I ran The Hollows on a lowbie recently for the first time in forever, and honestly I found it more interesting/fun than the new Atlas content. Yeah, there's not much to it in the way of story, and the kill-alls got a little old, but at least I actually got to play the damn game instead of just talking to NPCs and sitting around like a moron in cutscenes all day.

You lose access to the alignment-specific titles if you crossover. This also happens with the Praetorian-specific titles once you go to Primal Earth, although I seem to have one character who managed to keep her Giantkiller title (although sadly, this means I can now no longer change it, not even to change the color with the vet reward feature).
I'm guessing the H in H-Man stands for "hirsute". -

Quote:He could just use the Reed Richards defense and make a wooden suit of "power armor", then claim that the armor has an aura that disables Magneto's powers. Magneto finds himself unable to manipulate Luthor's "metal" armor and believes that his powers are truly gone. Then Luthor shoots him in the head.Like Lex wouldn't have armor that Magneto couldn't manipulate. This is Lex Luthor.
(Yes, this actually happened in an old Fantastic Four cartoon.) -
Refunds for non-physical items are highly problematic. I don't understand why you would ever expect to receive one unless maybe the item description had a legitimate error in it, which is not the same as you simply not understanding what you were buying, which is what seems to be the case here (except not because you seem to be wrong about how the boosters work, based on what other posters are saying).
Still, your advice is valid. You should never buy something unless you know what you're buying. Otherwise you might end up with a pineapple instead of a bicycle. -
Quote:But that's the thing, you're not level 53, you're level 50+3. The level slider works fine in DA, it's just not working the way you expect it to.I just wish the difficulty slider worked in DA. If I am 50+3 and my slider is set to +4.... just saying.
...Just saying. -
Your best chance is to join one of your server's global channels (you can chat on them from any server, hence "global", but I all servers have various global channels set up to help people group together). Also I *believe* (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that the LFG channel in-game is now set up to be a server-wide (?) chat channel, although I don't recall if that went into effect in I22 or not until I23. Simply type "/lfg whatever you want to say" (no quotes) to start chatting in it.

I wonder how much it costs to do this.

Quote:Minor point of order: the arc is actually Pilgrim's, the Ouro intro contact, but the mission is "given" by Mender Tessaract. If you liked the old tutorial, you can still do an altered version of it in Ouroboros, as part of what's-her-name's arc (the one that hates you).
Quote:The only problem with the new tutorial is it doesn't fit with the rest of the game (primarily the voice overs, but also the targets on the ground and the "gimmicks" aren't reused).
Anyway, yeah I'd like to see them return, personally I liked both of them, especially Breakout just for thematic reasons (breaking out of prison is much more exciting than just taking some dude's powers). Yeah, Outbreak was kind of dull, but it has nostalgia value, and honestly the new tutorial is just crummy all-around. I'd rather rescue Flower Knight from Contaminated than plink away at a Giant Shivan all by myself, it was certainly faster. -
Quote:I did say "completely". Nothing to suggest they hadn't started to lose their minds years ago.lol, now, NOW?
Really?
LOL
EDIT: Then again I might be thinking of us forum members.
We certainly did though. There is literally a recurring thread called "FArt Battle". -
Unknown, but at last year's Player Summit it was specifically stated by the devs.
Quote:Zone phases are going to be used sparingly, and used rarely for things like task forces in the future, since it breaks zone events. -
Phasing tech also breaks zone invasions, so that's pretty much a non-starter.
-
Quote:Oh, so the devs have completely lost their minds now. Gotcha.
-
My reply to the survey suggested that they remove Super Packs from the game entirely and possibly utilize Ouroboros to prevent them from ever existing.
YMMV. -
Quote:The other reason bases just in general don't receive much dev love is that the code that comprises the base system is a horrible undocumented spaghetti code mess. Aside from very minor QoL changes (like the Hacked Teleporter, and I doubt that name is a coincidence since I'm sure there was some sort of hackery involved in making it work), I doubt we'll see any changes to the base system as it exists now. If they're going to do anything drastic, it'll have to be with a new system designed from the ground up, likely leaving a legacy base system intact so the base building community doesn't lose the ridiculous amount of work they put into their bases.True, though I think the simple fact that Base Raids were part of the PvP system means they're almost certain not to receive any dev love because of that designation. Making them entirely PvE would open them up the vast majority of players, and therefore the devs.
Pathing would certainly have to be revisited but it wouldn't need to be as rigid as it was when players were the ones doing the raiding. I'd give a pass to NPC mobs doing a bit of light wall-phasing when encountering blocked or narrow passageways, within reason of course. -
I, uh, have no idea what the hell this thread is about.
