Best way to find people to level with?

Heyo!
I'm really liking Storm Summoning Defender, but its a bit weak on the killing side.

Any ideas where to play / how to go about finding people to level with?
(Outside of death from below >.<)

Your best chance is to join one of your server's global channels (you can chat on them from any server, hence "global", but I all servers have various global channels set up to help people group together). Also I *believe* (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that the LFG channel in-game is now set up to be a server-wide (?) chat channel, although I don't recall if that went into effect in I22 or not until I23. Simply type "/lfg whatever you want to say" (no quotes) to start chatting in it.

Oh sorry, i've been playing villain on Freedom, evening/late at night.
Mercy Island had quite a few people around to group with / DFB, went to port oaks and wasn't much around, and just not familiar with what to do to try and find people to team with.

How much work do you want to put into it?

Just a little:

Watch the help channel. It turns into LFG a good chunk of the time.
Go to one of the "grey" alignments (vigilante/rogue - please skip the red alignment of rouge.)

Doing so lets you join anything you see, basically.

More work:
Set up a SG or nightly/every few nights/weekly event. Tackle a task force a week or something. Let people know. Run that. (For instance, there's a Kheldian Fridays event on Justice, Tanker Tuesday server hops, Guardian - I think - has an any-level-welcome VEAT-only mothership raid... I think weekly, and many SGs have a task/strike force night.) Advertise it. It'll probably be slow at first. Keep it going anyway.

Yeah, the Help channel is easiest if you are Premium (which you seem to be). Advertise for teams there.

If you have access to /tell (i.e., at least two reward tokens), you can use the /search window. Purple text means that person is a group leader; send them a tell and ask if they have room for you to join. (You can send them a tell directly just by clicking on their name in the window.) The /search window is the same one that you get if you go to Team (on top of the chat window) and if it's empty there's a big button labeled "Find Members" and click on that.

Even if you don't have access to /tell, the /search window will at least show you how many people in each zone (up to 50), and you can try going to more populated zones in hopes of finding someone. Again you might need to use the /help channel if you don't have access to /broadcast or other types of messaging.

If you have 5 or more reward tokens, you can join your sever's global channels. This is probably the best way over all.

Good luck, and post back if you are still having trouble.

Can't find a team?? Easiest thing I found is to lead a team.

Until the LFG tab is here... I suggest announcing in Broadcast and Help.

Make some global friends - teamed with someone who is good/entertaining/etc...ask them to be global friends

Join a VG/SG - If you don't wanna be a lackey in someone's SG/VG - create your own

Going Rogue also opens up both sides for you which will give you the full spectrum of available players.

and going forward, add people you enjoy teaming with to your 'friends' list.

After a while you'll have a pretty good list of fun players to check when you log in.

I'm positive this is for Issue 23 and not live yet. I.e., in 3 to 6 weeks there's be a big download and then you'll have the /lfg channel. For the OP, when that happens, please switch advertisements for teams to /lfg instead of help, as a lot of folks like to keep the channels for their intended purpose so folks can use them efficiently.

I seem to have better chance of finding a team in Broadcast than I do in Help(at least here on Virtue). Cap au Diable and Sharkhead Isle are especially good places to try this.

Other times, I join any TF, SF or mish run a premie like me can. Not only do I get to have fun and earn merits (my current fave pastime), but I "network" and end up with at least one or two globals per trip. Now, it's not uncommon for one of my friends to send me a tell as soon as I log and ask if I want to run with them.

Hope this helps and good hunting!
