  1. This is a bug that was introduced with Issue 17. Previously, each bonus type (for example, Moderate Recovery bonus at 0.02 end/sec) would combine into one number in the Combat Attributes, so 5 Moderate (0.02 each) and 5 Huge Recovery (0.03 each) bonuses would read as 0.10 Moderate and 0.15 Huge. In I17 they split them up so you would see each individual bonus, but they're still combining into subgroups sometimes (so instead: 0.02, 0.02, 0.04, 0.02), which results in the jittery behavior you see now. The bonuses are all still there, they're just being displayed differently for half a second or so.
  2. Against this for conceptual reasons. Speedsters like the Flash and Quicksilver aren't able to jump any higher due to their abilities (putting aside things like a boost from making a superspeed tornado, or Flash just invoking the "Speed Force").

I don't have much trouble with Super Speed, in fact it's what I usually take if there's no story/origin reason for a character to take another travel power. I like moving super-fast.

UGH, no. That's just artificial difficulty.
  4. If it's more zone events on a grander scale that you want I'm all for that since the current Giant Monster events get boring after a while, although Wonderslug's Standard Code Rant applies here since anything larger than the Jade Spider is untargetable by the current game engine (although we know Castle is trying to work on it; fingers crossed for the revamped Cathedral of Pain!).

Also, you could try being less of a jerk.
  5. There's plenty already. Even something similar to the Independence Port attack you described.
  6. Some stuff I'd like to offload blueside:

    Enhancement - (45) Invention: Fear x9
    Recipe - (50) Essence of Curare: Acc/Hold/Rech
  7. This would certainly be one good way to retool the City Terminals into something useful.

    You're gonna be really disappointed.
  10. So you mean as a separate difficulty option. I guess I could see that, although again it comes back to having to flag the relevant temps if they don't already have a distinct flag that can be used to identify them. /standard code rant

re ATT: The thing with this power is that it allows you to skip a lot of content depending on the TF, and for a Master run at least that's a lot of missed opportunities to die. Yeah, maybe your team can beat the snot out of Recluse's Inner Circle and Recluse himself with little effort (well, without dying anyway). But as you work your way through the tunnels of Oranbega on the way to the Thorn Tree you might end up in a hairy situation for a variety of reasons (someone runs out of end, presses the wrong button, whatever) and still die. So in that respect it does actually make the TF a lot easier because even though you still have to fight the Big Bad (who is far more likely to kill you) it ultimately requires less effort.
  11. Assemble the Team actually makes it a lot easier to ghost a TF as long as the person with ATT can stealth (or can at least take enough punishment to race to the end of a map), so I wouldn't agree that it's not "game-breaking".

I have a feeling the "no temps (with a few exceptions for those powers that are specifically needed to complete the TF)" is meant to be widely exclusive because it's simply easier to say "you can only use this one power" instead of "okay you can use this, this, this, this, these, that, and also this; but you can't use the other thing or the other other thing". It also has the benefit of covering any future "too powerful for Master run" temp powers that may be developed.

Why do you feel it necessary to have other temps available for Master runs? Either they're useful, in which case not having them makes it more of a challenge which is the entire point of a Master run, or they really don't make much of a real difference so there's no point in having them available anyway.

I'd be happier if they fixed the Check Name button for when you create a new character first. Last time I checked it didn't work.
  14. The terminals actually pre-dated PvP, they were added in Issue 2. They used to show who was killing the most of a given enemy group in zone, among other information. They don't show anything anymore because they've been disabled, either because they stopped working right or a dev somewhere along the line decided they were stupid and should be disabled.

I agree that it would be nice to see them repurposed, but I don't see why this should necessarily exclude villains. Just add Arachnos-themed terminals into the RI zones.
  15. Was a fun event, was looking forward to a TF but radio missions in PI works too. Also, I learned an important lesson about Invincibility and Carnies.

I rolled an Elec/Elec up to 5 earlier tonight on Champion, schedule and memory permitting I'll try to show up to that one.
  16. Alternate answer; Practice, practice, practice.
  17. The OP is referring to the shortcut variables like $name and $archetype which, when you type them in chat, input the information for the current character you're on. So if I were on Qubit, my Tech Mastermind, typing "$name is a $origin $archetype" would give "Qubit is a Tech Mastermind"
  18. The floating lines have been there forever, since launch I'd reckon (at least as long as I've been playing, since shortly before I5), they definitely aren't new.
