Combat Attributes and IO question.

Hello!

All the stats in combat attributes are bouncing around. One minute it will say I have 6 health bonus's, the next 2. So it makes reading the stats difficult, as the lines of text jump 4 or 5 up or down at a time.

Is there a way to make things stop changing so dramatically? I feel like I will have a seizure trying to look things over LOL

-----------

Luck of the Gambler: Defense Increased Recharge Speed.

It says you get 7.5% recharge. When I hovered over say foot stomp, I seen no change in recharge, it was the same as before. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance,
Akia

In the big window, you can right click and select Hide Power Sources. A lot of them will jump around, because of how they stack.

Luck of the Gambler is a global recharge buff, it operates the same way as a set bonus.

I think the bouncing stats are because they are essentially powers granted to us by the IOs, and as such they have a duration and firing rate; the firing rate is usually 1 or 2 server ticks shorter than the duration, so they overlap every so often, causing the bouncing. I may be wrong on this, though, so don't hold me to that.

Are you talking about just one LotG? Because if you have more than 5, the extras (6, 7, 8, and so on) won't do anything for you. Also, remember that recharge can reach a point where a tiny bit more won't do much for you, so if you already have decent recharge through enhancement and other global bonuses, adding 7.5% won't cut much off, possibly not even enough to be rounded to a second.

Or it could just be bugged. I'd advise you to run Herostats and see what that shows you for "actual" recharge times.

Thanks to you both. The hide power sources worked and I can now view the combat attributes without feeling sick LOL

The LoTG thing, I am guessing that it is a matter of a small boost. I was expecting a full second, not just tenths of.

This is a bug that was introduced with Issue 17. Previously, each bonus type (for example, Moderate Recovery bonus at 0.02 end/sec) would combine into one number in the Combat Attributes, so 5 Moderate (0.02 each) and 5 Huge Recovery (0.03 each) bonuses would read as 0.10 Moderate and 0.15 Huge. In I17 they split them up so you would see each individual bonus, but they're still combining into subgroups sometimes (so instead: 0.02, 0.02, 0.04, 0.02), which results in the jittery behavior you see now. The bonuses are all still there, they're just being displayed differently for half a second or so.

The LotG is reducing the recharge of all your powers, but the power details only shows the effects of the enhancements slotted in the powers, not any global bonuses.

That means that if (for example) you had Knockout Blow 5 or 6-slotted with Crushing Impact (which includes 5% global recharge at 5 slots), and then looked at the Power Attributes, you would see the Recharge adjusted for the enhancement values of the IOs, but not the global bonus. However, the global bonus, and any others from other sources, are still factored in.

If you really need to know the exact recharge values, you only have three options: The stopwatch method (which is unreliable at best), copying your build into Mids' or another build planner, or manually adding up all your sources of +Recharge and calculating the adjusted Recharge value.

Correct -- it's not that you have IO bonuses, it's the way they are displayed after the patch. The same IO bonuses displayed just fine in previous patches. But now by adding lines to the display and removing the same lines several times a second, it causes items beneath those bonuses to jump up and down as the lines are added, making the display unreadable.

I can't imagine it's intentional.

Or you can reference two numbers and calculate from there:
1) Set the power monitor to display global recharge and note the number.
2) Get the recharge figure from the enhancement screen for the power in question.

The first number counts all global recharge sources. The second number counts only the recharge enhancements slotted in the power.

[Final Recharge] = [Base Recharge] / (1 + ( ( [Global %] + [Power %] ) / 100) )

If that's hard to read:
1) Add the global and power recharge percentages.
2) Divide by 100.
3) Add 1.
4) Divide the base recharge (listed in the power info) by the number you just came up with.
