  1. Arcane Forge is the equivalent of techs basic worktable. U can buy/place them in ur workshop rooms only, and it dont matter what type u previusly got. a forge will cost 25k prestige (pocket change in comparison) and since u sell ur workbench for 25k, buy forge 25k, sell forge 25k buy workbench 25k it will cost u..... +25-25+25-25=0 prestige

As im currently swamped with useless stuff, im hoping to trade some salvage-components.. i got aprox. 100 (mystic element and tofi) that im trading 1 for 1 tech components (power or material) u might be thinking that u dont have both tables, but easiest way to handle it is to sell ur table, build a new tech table, then sell that one to rebuild ur forge... wont hurt a bit and is 100000000 times easier to transfer components instead of salvage =)

  4. well, i got a kinetic corr (will give slow) and a ice/ice dom (even more slow) and i have a lvl 50 stone/EM tank.. so i know all ur weaknesses, and since im too slow to recruit u, ill just have to pound u (damn u max ) GL with EVIL, they are a nice crowd

    if im not mistaken, london was the only dominator we had during the raid, so it would be him. though we also had a high-lvl zombie/dark MM and that would create alot of holds as well... that is if he survived long enough to get his pets out.. i know i had alot of problems with that issue.. lol

    Yes, it was good fun No crying over wicked plans and evil destructions, all in good mood. even though i think we didnt last longer than 14 min at most im now sure that it is possible to defend the base during a raid.. well defend the anchors at least lol.. it will be harder when its real raids where the polyns is a 2nd alternative and the fact that attackers may destroy some really expensive equipment.

    I feel that all we need is to train a bit on the tactics and get thoose damn turrets to work lol and we will be a hard SG to defeat
  9. well, we faced EVIL sunday night and in the summering we realized none of our 4 defens turrets fired 1 single shot.. is this a known bug, or whats up with that? any1 else have defenses that worked, or didnt?

    GJ EVIL u really gave us a good fight.. though u know we will successfully defend ourselves next time
  10. Ive given it some thought and i wonder...

    Would'nt it be possible to defend an anchor if you have it placed in a pure defense room? i.e. say that you have a room equipped with 6 elite chain guns, each boosted with +60% Acc and 2 turrets that -Res -Def boosted with +45% Acc... wouldnt that kill any stalker/brute using overload or elude? i fought SR-scrappers using Elude and as long as you are more than 4-5 ppl ur bound to hit enough times to kill the low-resistant scrapper. I still believe that at the present, we cant defend anchors, but we might in a close future as our bases reach above the 15 mill mark... or i might be wrong, and statesman has made a poor attempt of balancing powers..... again.....
  11. Since i know bases are still under the build-up phase, this might not be correct. since I lack all that much experience in Base-raids, perhaps some1 can assist me with some thoughts on this idea:

    As far as i learned u need to destroy 5 of 6 anchors, correct? What would be the possibility to defend 2 of ur anchors alone and let the attackers destroy the rest? if you are wealthy enough, u can upgrade 2 roms to 'secure' and place defenses in them, wouldnt a well-trained team be able, with the help of i.e. a sapper or 2, to defend the anchor? perhaps all that is needed is a increase on the recharge rate on the anchors?

    Finally, what is the devs oppinion (or statesmans vision)? Perhaps Bridger could enlighten us with how the thought of a base-raid is supposed to be going down, or is it as always an idea that never was thouroghly worked through and stressed out to live servers to meet the angry mobs demands? 'coz they couldnt for real believe that the 2 SGs would battle eachother 1st, then go for the equipment?

  13. All i can say is, that we have done about half the badge and we tried to do an all-night healing farm once, but the bar only move 1 minimum amount, soo..... u just wait a few months and we can see if there is any progress.. lmao

    May i suggest you join 'Union Leaders' instead to minimize coalition-spams. This is a perfect example for when and how this channel comes in good use. Max (E.V.I.L.) are already a member of it, and many others, so its easier to get in touch with another SG that wants to join in on a intant raid.

    You have any good plan regarding base-items? not many SGs want their base-items destroyed for a practice raid.. maybe we can work around that somehow
  16. I see many interesting posts here, and even a few insightfull about PvP. What most of u seem to forget is that PvP is not meant to be 1 vs 1!

    The Dev's illuision of CoX is that no AT should be strong enough to solo anything, and that is where all nerfs and changes are heading (we are more or less there) This is also shown in PvP. A descent brute wont loose to another descent brute any set. This is 'coz the dmg-output made by one person in general (some exceptions to this rule) is not enough to defeat an AT with medium or high HP.

    When doing PvP solo, some ATs and powersets are more able to win, just as in PvE, but as the more experienced know, its mostly about skill (or lack of it) that makes it so. PvP is supposed to be done in teams. And when you start playing in teams, You find out pretty fast that AT or power-sets are of no importance, but more the compability and level of team-work that the team have. I played alot of PvP both solo/small teams/large teams/heroes/villains and all at higher lvls. With alot of lvl 50 heroes and lvl 40 villains that roam under my name, i tried every AT and many builds at higher lvls, i made 1 statement so far. A good team will rule. You want different sets, complimenting eachother with buffs, debuffs, resists, dmg, and trained experience of eachother and PvP/PvE.

    There is no stronger AT, even though many mistake the fact that a controller sneaking up on a defender, and using perma-holds, makes him stronger. A stalker sneaking up on a corruptor that is not paying attention, is not a strong AT. 2 tanks going at eachother for 30 min till finally a lucky shot gets in and drops the right toggle is not based on a good build. Solo-PvP is 90% depending on experience and and element of suprise. 1st shot is usually done by the winner, unless the attacked suprise the attacker with being alot smarter and better at PvP than the attacker 1st though (usually the case).

    Since I dont have any contact with you lot in-game, I would like to take the oppurtunity to reach out at your thread.

    As you may (or may not) have heard I'm organizing the 'Union Leaders' Global Channel, where I try to gather up all bigger SG-leaders. At this point I think we got aprox. 20-25 larger SGs represented. This is mainly a Forum for SG-leaders to exchange info, knowledge and tips regarding anything that involves in leading an SG. This will also be an efficient tool in organizing events later on (as a villain version of a hamidon-raid).

    As I have seen your name at the top of the SG-rankings, I feel that even your SG should be represented in this global channel. For an Invite, please have your SG-leader (or one selected member that is in charge for base-construction) contact me at the global handel: @.Dr Death

    I can understand that ppl get agitated when an opponent acts up against them, but i have to say that its really not that bad if u ponder a moment on how bad it could be. I myself get frustrated at times on ppl acting 'bad' in PvP-zones but again that is really my oppinion on whats ok and not. So far i hevent seen yet 1 thing i actually was expecting, and that was ppl joining up in teams in warburg to do i.e. the rocket launch, and then kick 1 member from team and [censored] him over and over only to get better PvP-rating. I know several other MMORPGs where they would invite a person to a team, just to lure them away to farm them for gold. IMO i would say that you cant avoid ppl acting stupid, but if u expect them too, u dont get as upset.

    If u plan on entering a PvP-zone (that is entirely optional for the sake of playing the game) u get warnings about being a target. U enter the zone at ur own risk of getting killed or being griefed to the point where u get tons of debt. not always fun, but its the way the world works. If u arent prepared to take the possible herassment, stay in the PvE zones. I myself prefer fairplay and has at several times ignored an opponant in a PvP-zone since niether him or me is really that interested in fighting eachother.

    In conclusion i would like to add this: the players that are being griefed and sometimes just overpowered, shouldnt be whining in broadcast and calling names. That IMO is even worse than i.e. teleporting some1 into a drone. coz most of the times is just ppl trying to do missions or PvP and cant take the heat. if u do a mission in a pvp-zone, be prepared to get attacked. thats why we have PvP-zones. else we could just have stayed at using the arena.

    plus the most satisfying feeling u can get is when u kill that fool that is molesting u or others. if a person is TPing some1 into the drones, dont complain, get a team and rush him, as he dies, he will stop coz his childish game didnt work anymore.

    1st off i'd like to thank the few that participated, and i will, if interest can be found, arrange another one at a later time.

    Final was fought by 3 teams resulting:
    1st Danskeren and JackieBoy (BloodLine) 6 kills
    2nd .Dr Death and Doctor Dust (Violators) 6 kills
    3rd Max Khaos and Quarks (E.V.I.L.) 1 kills

    Bloodline is appointed victor by least deaths!
    Good Job thoose that joined, and hopefully next time the interest will be higher.

    ok, since i notice there is some doubt upon the teams, i will do this proper =)

    Any AT (MM, stalker, brute, corr or dom) can team with any AT as long as they are both in the same lvl range (lvls: 1-11, 12-21, 22-40) and pref in same SG (not a req, but it would be nice if it could be an SG-thing where the SG obtain reputation and status amongst other players)

    The SGs leader ( or selected representant) will have the responsibility for his members and informing them of the status during the event (this is to simplify the insane spamming that usually occurs when many players gather at the same spot) I will communicate to the leaders, which in their turn communicate with their members. Please all, dont spam any chat channels and act stupid. If there is many participants it will be hard to direct every1 to right places and dutys and announce info as it is. the leader (or representant) will also be in charge for paying the entry fee for each team that the SG promotes to the event.
    lvl 1-11 team pays 50k inf
    lvl 12-21 team pays 100k inf
    lvl 22-40 team pays 200k inf
    (I suggest this should be paid by the joined wallets of the higher ranked toons in each SG, since I still see this as an SG-event, and we should all promote our best player for a few measly inf. but in the end, that is a descision the SG-leader himself will take.)
    the entry fee is collected by myself and added up to 3 individual pots that are handed to the winning teams
    lvl 1-11 gets 50k*(No. of teams enlisted)
    lvl 12-21 gets 100k*(No. of teams enlisted)
    lvl 22-40 gets 200k*(No. of teams enlisted)

    regarding postponing the event to a later time, is a good idea, and i will consider it for the next event. however, since its so close to the event, i choose to not move the event, since im sure several players may not read the latest news of time change, and dont want to let them hang. if this event works out and is a success i will surely schedual for a new in a near future.

    Regarding solo-tornaments, that is not appealing to me. Statesmans 'vision' has created a game where only a few builds are strong enough to fight solo in PvP, the rest ends up in a pointless hits and runs for endless time.

    no restrictions to what AT team is consistent of, even though i know the benefit of using i.e. 2 brutes in one team. and the inf will be collected by ur SG's representant (pref SG leader) and then handed to me alone. I will do the dividing and prize dealing.. and yeas im a villain, but i have a thiefs honor as well

    This was an unknown fact to me... is this the reason to why some SGs suddenly drop in the 'Top 100' list? I noticed several SGs has dropped rapidly in the stats for to them unknown reasons... though we gotten 2 baseplots so far and havent experienced any changes though.

    in diffrense to the PvP areas, i dont believe in exemping down, the arena system works even up, and all lvl 22-40 will be LK up to 40. and yes im aware that a lvl 40 will have twice the slots and powers compared to a lvl 22, but there isnt that many lvl 40s and lvl-differens cant be avoided unless we would play only lvl 40s. and that wouldnt be fun for the rest of thoose that dont live inside the game. the lvls in each class represents the enh's they can buy. so you wont face an opponent that can get better enh's than urself. which imo has a stronger effect than number of powers and slots
  24. many ppl complain about the cost of the base, but im prolly the only one that dont. Sure, base items are expensive, but you should remember that the idea wasnt to build a perfect base in 4 weeks. We have one of the most prosperous VG's on union and we have almost run out on things to build. we cant unlock the SG-badges fast enough to follow this development. in only 2 1/2 month that the bases been avaible, we earned enough prestige to build the 3rd baseplot for 3.3 mill. all workbenches, 2 telepads, raid teleporter, IoP room inc. defenses, 2nd energy room, 2nd control room, turbine generator and more... sure it takes us a week or 2 to gather prestige to buy the real expensive stuff, but the bases arent supposed to be completed in 2-3 months.. this is a lifetime project meant to be an always evergoing project, never to be complete. if every SG with more than 20 members successfully could build everything possible in base withing 4 months, i wouldnt even wanna bother.. no fun if everyone has it all.

    Just keep working on it, and you will soon see that the costs for bases arent worse than the amount of healing u need to do to earn the 2nd SG-healing badge

    PvP Tournament

    Violators SG is arranging a massive PvP-tournament open for all SGs on Union on january the 20th (friday) at 6pm GMT (7pm CET)
    Rules:
    Every SG enlists 1-3 teams of 2 players each. teams are devided into 3 classes to remove the enhancement factor
    lvl 1-11, 12-21 and 22-40 both members in team must be in the same class.
    Your SG will pay a fee for every team enlisted (200k, 100k, 50k) depending on what class team is.

    Matches will be fought in the Arena and will be 10 min fights and knockout based. If a fight is a draw, it will be re-done till one team stands as winners.

    The winning team in each class will share the pot from each class. so all inf payed in inlisting fee will be going to the winning teams.

    If you have any questions, have your SG-leader send a tell to @.dr death

    If you would like to help organizing this, send me a tell as well. if we get alot of participants, it might be hard to control alone, so any SG that wants to help out is welcome. =)

    Please try and make this an event worth organizing. I hope this will be a fun event and if its successfull we will have it again. Spread the Word to your SGs =)
