PvE 1 Acc, 3 Dam, 2 Hold
PvP ........... ask someone else no idea -
I like 3 man and 5 man teams, if it gets to 6, I want 8 cause 6 and 7 dont cut it. 4 annoys me, not enough mobs to build fury and domination on cause you're sharing with that 4th person and they're not adding enough spawns......... 8 man teams are only fun when you're not fighting CoT, 2 sucs in a group and your team wrecks itself. unless you have a couple of good doms in your group, or even one good and a bad one like me is enough

Hey, I'm looking for the best solo scrapper build which can handle himself on the Highest Difficulty, I guess I will be teaming sometimes, but main focus on soloing.
Any help?

How easy do you want it? I found DM/Regen so easy on invincible I stopped playing it, especially solo. Started myself a DM/SR, which I duo. Dont duo on the highest setting (defence scaling and all) but against a single target I'm much tougher than my DM/Regen was, against large groups much weaker. My experiences of DA and inv were both a long time ago, deleted my DA before I4 came along and my Inv didn't see I5 but both seemed to be tough against groups and weaker against bosses. SR seems to be a good boss killing set, the rest are all fairly good for groups, how good depends on your play style. DA can struggle for end if you have an end heavy primary and want all the shields, if you dont want all the shields you should be a brute not a scrapper -
I'd consider swapping Mass Confuse and Terrify around, but I want it earlier for my mind dom
-
It is worth it, but only once you've got your resistance and endurance sorted, damage can wait
-
Mind has terrify, after playing my dominator to 40 and getting another to 12 I stopped and made a mind dom. I wish I was mind/Ice with my main, the lack of pet isn't an issue when you have a group effecting power for every group you come across, rather than trying to fight a couple while your control comes back.
-
Not to mention the high cost of acrobatics compared to most other shields. I was shocked to see it was higher than any of the DA ones I run (yes I know its less than CoF but I dont have that)

No, die-ing is my party piece

It can't be helped really. It's that seizmic mentality of hers. She keeps saying 'SMASH all' and by all she means team mates too when confused
[/ QUOTE ]
Worry less about being confused when I'm bruting to when I'm donimating. Killed one team mate once when it happend to my brute, the Glacier I hit after it happened to my dominator lead to a team wipe -
Ice/Fire is probably as good agro control as you can get, all the AoEs. Defence is always more risky than resistance, bad luck and you're dead with defence, bad luck with resistance and you're popping respites until they're gone, then you're dead
-
And the deaths will probably just be me
-
Anchors and knockback.......... yep sounds challenging

Well if I find a lvl 31+ kinetic to come along, I might be persuaded to run it more than once. As ever though it will be on relentless. But should take about an hour depending on team.

Relentless? Good I need some inf, the Frost Wolf bank is running dry -
Got room for a dominator? Am in no real rush to get it with Frost Wolf, but do want it before I7
-
Enjoy what ever you decide to do with your time next........ what is there other than CoH/V anyway??!
-
I have that set up with my SR, its about the same speed as unslotted fly, have fly too cause of vertical.
SR is the only powerset where Swift can be faster than hurdle I think. -
When you have three you can shrug off the draw time easy enough. Greater Ice Sword is the nicest damage you'll get, thus the best way of building domination
-
Can see the benefit of TP, putting Jack next to foes will help.
Gone for melee cause of Glacier, AA, CE all being PBAoE, also can chain the swords and bitter ice blast for good effect, and Frost Breath catches more up close...... Ice Sword Circle........... I just find it easier to hit the better powers in melee.
Might consider dropping jumping for TP. Dont know though, a TPing wolf doesn't seem right, a leaping one seems fine. -

Mostly I cycle the two swords and the two AoEs, hence the slotting.
Hasten I dont tend to use all the time, but always when Domination is close to being ready, and it gets that last bit quicker.
Power Boost and Glacier make it a usable combo. With hasten and power boost EB's are fairly easy to keep held, AV's are possible, but only just, so Domination is normally required.
Jack Frost actually helps with end, cause if he's got some of the agro I dont tend to worry about that and just focus on the group I'm dealing with. I like dumping him on bosses so that I only need one hold to mez them (I'll resummon him if I need to place him) -
I personally dont like the feel of invul for a scrapper. But they're just a valid a choice as any other secondry (yeah, am SR, would say that, but have a level 35 regen too, dont like that much)
Regen is a popular choice for the no downtime, but each secondry has its own good points. -
Statistically fire brutes are better suited to CoV than DA ones except against Arachnos. Most of your resistnaces are equal or higher to mine. And I cope fine with a DA brute.
The amount of S&L still in the game still gives the strength to Inv brutes over both fire and DA, while stone out preform just about everything.
Once again he asked for an opinion between DA and Inv though, and I know Inv is tougher. Will this stop me playing my DA, hell no, does it make me undervalue any other brute? Hell no. If you want a simple playstyle and a good tough brute Inv is probably the best choice. Fire has its bonuses (am thinking elec/fire for my next alt if I dont like the elec armour). -
I have CE with 3 end red, I hardly notice its on, but then I have a very end heavy build, and every little helps.
The only thing I'd put in AA other than end red is confuse, which you have done, well worth it. Not in mine atm, but it is planned for when the 40-50 range opens and I get a free slot or two (I hope) -
Chilling embrace and AA stacked slow things to a crawl, add Jack Frost to that, his chilling embrace.......... its pretty much as slow as you can make things.
I sometimes dont run AA, cause it has a larger AoE and can grab agro when you dont want it, but you're safe with CE running.
I like CE, it helps me impose my will on others
