Is a bit squishy, elec has a good ST and AoE balance, while Fire offers some good damage in the aura but not a great deal of protection (more than DA does to most things though)
-
Elude is 3 def, 3rchg in my opinion. You'll be over the soft cap but able to deal with higher acc foes much better, and I'd imagine it would be good for PvP
-
Dont miss the snipe, skip Scream instead if you have to drop a power. The psi snipe is fantastic. Snipe and Subdue can two hit pre DO's (though probably not as effective as foes get tougher)
-
Drop Tar Patch, order pets to stand in the way on agressiuve and stand out of LoS with fluffy. If he/she does get past your pets being in fluffy's aura normally stops him/her hitting you so much until you have him/her held, feared and debuffed

Grat event, love the raids, good for the comunity, and the HOs are good too
-
Tanking Psi Babbage has to be up there for Dark Celestine. Stood infront of the foe that it seems most tanks fear and holding its agro as best I could through imobs and being the only one in melee. That was one, another was carving through a mission in Elude after the rest of the team wiped and defeating the boss alone so no one had to go to the hospital and travel back.
For Midnight Lost it has to be herding wolfies on Striga showing why DM/Regen should have the presence pool -
Ah, I wasn't sure if you meant that you weren't bothered by the power order, or that you would be changing it for the actual build. Fair enough
-
*L* One hami raid I was 15 minutes late thanks to the third respec. Thought I'd give a shout out to stop that happening to others. When the raids started and you're waiting for the spawns in the reactor they seem to take forever
-
Is a Hami Raid tonight so you might be better off trying a different night for the 44+s
-
OK will give the one good report you'll hear on the patron powers then. Herd up a big group. Build up, Electric Fences, Fire Sword Circle, Lightning Ball, group no longer standing. But I dont have a pet kin, a pet kin might mean I need less AoEs I guess
-
Need Rooted ASAP as well for Status Protection but try and get TP earlier for sure
-
Tough does work with Granite.
I would move the power order around outside of granite for exemping though -
Am planning on using Mu Mastery for my Imob and burn, the only downside will be the stopping of thunderstikes KD but the upside is the damage, I think it balances out, the only other choice I'd take for a brutes patron is Black Scorpion though, I find cones less usefull than AoEs when herding
-
But the one with the coolest looking weapons surely? If claws looked like that I'd be playing a claws character and nothing else.
Personally I didn't see the benefit in a pet at all for my brute, it disrupts herding for a start, and costs heavey end to summon (so woudln't want to summon after a herd)
Hasten might be handy to bring back Dark Regen but has a nasty end cost at the end (why I dont have it)
Ob Gloom might be a good choice though, as Cloak of Fear might drain your end too much.
If I was picking from the powers avialable for you i'd take Soul Tentacles though, an Imob's nice, is holds people in place so I can get into the best spot for Dark Regen -
Once invinc is running Aid Self applies fast enough with the defence it gives.
And yeah I run with 1 acc in everything at 50 with my brute (except my damage aura). If something's going to debuff my acc I use BU and then kill it before it can (or while it is) -
Am about to swap Scorch back into my fire brutes build cause I have found myself disliking fire sword. I know its a perception thing as the animation times are almost the same, but Fire Sword feels longer and it annoys me.
I'd go with something very simular to MaX's build as his fire side is close to mine, and I am thus bias. I have leaping though, not flight so things are a bit different level wise
Edit: At high levels a range in Breath Of Fire is better than the recharge though, but until you get the Mu attacks you probably want the recharge there. One enhancement swap isn't a big change over 50 levels though -
Thanking you muchly, means I can consider Build Up and FE for my build then (as it would be my alpha anyway)
-
Well if you want AoE damage you want the fire primary, with the fire secondry it becomes amazing AoE damage but you'd be fairly squishy.
Elec has good resistance all round, but no self heal and no def..... which brings me to EN, which has an alright level of Def, no self heal but with the Def Aid Self is an option. Both of those secondries have end recovery powers in them that are worth having.
Stone secondry is a bit too slow for my liking, but post 38 the highest level of def and resistance you can have. Inv is a fairly good standard set.
DA is a bit of a head mess of a set, but can be a lot of fun. Its not high res, but somehow you survive.
If you want an ST damage primay then its EN or SS really. SS has the nicer AoE of the two en has the higher damage ST attacks. Rage gives SS another equaliser I wouldn't like to pick between them. Stone comes close but has some nice soft control, costs more end, and looks awesome
So single target, AoE, Res, Def.......... what you loooking for? -
I seem to pick unusual brutes so I'm probably not going to be the best of help here. But there are several different brute types and play styles. The Fire/Fires are played very differently to SS/Stone for example. So you need to say what you want from your brute (not powersets but what you want to be able to do) and then people can look at it, go "hey my brute can do that" and help you out.

Mito's have too much HP and too high Res for the AoE pwnage thing methinks, besides, the GFX lag from a mass SD or Fulcrum would destroy many raiders.
We'll have decided pre-raid, I need to talk to Magus about it, it's his baby.

I want to take out everyones sound cards cause they dont have the weakened sound on Soul Drain like they do on FS now. Thought a sound related crash would be a new thing on a raid, its always graphics -
Once you have Intergration, Dull Pain and Recon you're pretty damn solid actually. They remain the main powers of regen (since the I5 changes anyway) till you're 50
-
I think I could get a good soul drain from them if someone can take the agro
-
Slight concern............ we seem to still have all those yellow death marbles that dropped at the end of the last raid
