    Brute EN/EN

Not call yourself belligerent? but you are, first against Shannon, then Maelwys, then me..

and while you in your opinion may not be spamming technically, in MY opinion, simply posting something without any intellectual value is spamming.. again, in MY opinion.

and i treat people according to how they behave. In my world teenagers can earn my respect by acting mature and people in their 20s and 30s or higher lose it by the acting immature.

Your coming across as someone shoving people around itching for a fight, and thats how i treat you-

Now, this has nothing to with En/En brutes, so this debate ends now.

is hardly telling people to move on but rather suggesting, no?
and the case of "trolling" can be something as simple as having a belligerent attitude:

Sorry, who made you the forum police?

I can ask you to stop spamming and trolling or report you, since im a nice guy, i start with asking politely.. don't make me angry, you wouldnt like it when im angry.

Drifting off topic here, seeing as the OP has gotten his questions answered, unless someone has anything relevant to say concerning En/En lets move on shall we?

Ill stir up the hornet nest here and go against the other posters regarding taunt. The EN/EN are more towards the edge of stalkers/scrappers than tank-brutes. A defining power is the Energy cloak power you receive at level 20, its an invisibility power that lets you attack enemies one at a time without getting to much attention/aggro. You are the opposite of a invincibility brute, you dont WANT to be surrounded by enemies. Until you get overload, you dont have the ability to survive the combined attention of larger mobs.

Youre NOT a tank, and anyone who kicks you from the team because youre not "tanking" is just as bad as anyone who kicks a defender for not "healing".
  7. [ QUOTE ]

/Regen adds no damage (although it may allow more damage slotting due to extra +recovery, I dont think this is an issue of note since Inventions)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Endurance management are more than just stopping to rest to regain endurance, (which the tank had to do 3 times) it also means that you can continue to cycle you strong attacks more often as they require more endurance. If youre starting to run out, you have to wait for a low damage attack to recycle before you can attack as a filler.
    This lower dps over time.

    [ QUOTE ]
/Invun, with +tohit buff, would hypothetically increase damage output.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Solo, on invincible, the spawns isnt that big for this to play in. I assume the tester went from spawn to spanw finishing them off one at a time, not herding up one big group.

    [ QUOTE ]
Id like to see a Katana/Regen come even remotely close to outdamaging a Spines/Dark Scrapper in an 8 man team.

    [/ QUOTE ]
or a fire/fire tank for that matter...

but thats beside the point, the test was solo.. not teamed.

My answer to anyone who wants to play as scrapper is to play a scrapper.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Or build a tank with a good offense and get the best of both worlds

    [/ QUOTE ]

Check this out. Not very professional way, but it's a start...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Umm yea, i read that..

    conclusion was that a Katana/regen scrapper did 50% more damage/time than a Inv/SS tank at level 37.

I dont object to that, but just want to point out that a katana/regen prolly does 50% more damage against any other set of scrapper as well...
  9. I seldom have trouble with overzealous trollers/blasters messing up the spawn when i tank.
I think its because i close the distance from the team and the spawn very fast by jumping or flying and landing into the middle of the spawn. I have my first attack lined up before landing. Basically, since my team waits to attack until i touch down, there is few mobs in a team that escapes.
Also, by putting in taunt duration enhancments in invincibility, scattered mobs comes back to me and not the blaster who just nova:ed.

    Must we herd?

Depends on the team sometimes. When I'm doing task forces or trials with the SG we can just steamroll away and theres no need for herding because people are actually competent enough to take care of themselves.

I just want to add in that sometimes you get mishes/maps that are downright dangerous trying to herd. A particular outdoor map full of mother mayhems psychic minions springs to mind..
(this is from a invulns point of view)

[/ QUOTE ]Dull pain, aid self, some nice IO bonuses....easy enough

    [/ QUOTE ]

not 15 months ago it wasnt..
Anyway, my point i was trying to make is that sometimes trying to herd isnt a viable tactic. I have to find a better example to use as a argument.

And can you imagine a tank trying to tell everyone to "back off while he herd" during a rikti ship raid?
  13. Only that in my mind acro are just not strong enough to actually be of any benefit.
Your mileage my vary, but I 'specced it out due to being terribly disappointed with it.

But then again I handled mez in dwarf or LF, and you only have LF, so I'm guessing youre going with acro because "every bit of help helps"
  14. My Badge is human/dwarf and ive gone with Hasten over QF. In some arcs when i had to solo EBs i found it essential to boost my Dps since I had to finish off the EB before LF dropped, and reds only helped so much, and not always available.
I did try going with CJ and acrobatics for a while but realised that to many mobs stunned and dropped my toggles, after that I decided to handle all mobs with mez in Light form and Dwarf.. Because going with jumping pool really dont help anyway.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
Ah the old days of endlessly being asked to fill or bridge so a tank could PL himself....good riddance tbh.

    [/ QUOTE ]

yeah... theyre fire/kin trollers nowadays instead...
  16. Cuffzter

    Sorry!!

    (reply to dipstar)
I was on that team, (one of the blasters) and we sort of worked out that you had been to sloshed for your own good, well, one of us did at least.

no matter, we gave those naughty freaks a sound thrashing and got a nice respec from it, well, some got a absolutely useless recipe..
  17. Sorry I had to bail on you Lost, but when i get disconnected from the map for no apperant reason, multiple times, with less than 10 minutes apart, with no advance warning, I got the feeling I'd be more to a hindrance than good..

    wish you all good luck.

  19. [ QUOTE ]
Team C are in charge of aggro, mainly Hamidons, all tanks will be in this team, as well as a kin with ID, and multiple empaths, they’re primary job is to hold Hami aggro.

One tank will hold aggro while using an EoE and being spammed with CM, when it starts to run out use a second EoE, when that is close to running out the –heal and –regen will have left the tank with little hp.
At this point the 2nd appointed tank pops an EoE and takes over, the first is pulled out, healed and the cycle is repeated. This may be adjusted depending on tanker HP.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If the plan is for a Inv tank to run Unstoppable before aggroing hami, i should think any mez resistance he already have should be enough without warranting ID. A kins speed boosts are welcome though as it recharges Unstoppable faster lessening downtime.
Also, a tank running unstoppable might as well stand until defeated, as it saves time rezzing him instead of waiting around for the crash..

Well, theres only one actress who's got the look, can act and enough martial arts to portray Officer Cuffz.. Technology Tanker.

and that would be Shannon Lee

her fathers name was Bruce and her brother was Brandon, if you catch my drift..
  21. I have a storm/elec at level 36-37 and i find it very fun to play.
From Storm I have all except Gale and Thunderclap. I specced out gale because i have so many other tools to take care of mobs that get in to close, so i would never get time to use it anyway, and thunderclap is another ive skipped for already mentioned reasons.

Zapp is only useful when soloing, and i hardly use it even then. So its understandable if you want to spec this out.

at 35 you will get acess to voltaic sentinel which i also enjoy quite a bit.
It is a bit shortlived, but possible to make so it has recharged as soon as it disappears, its more of a matter to have the endurance ready for it.
  22. In my opinion, its not the psi damage that make rikti worrysome, its the mez effects that come with it. And with Unyielding comes one of the games best status resists.

    Issue 10 event!

Those Dastards better not come close to the HQ.. I mean, Kings row taken? someone oughta help that poor excuse of a copper Blue shield out defending police HQ, and who better than the Unbreakable Officer Cuffz... tho i'd rather protect the donut shop in faultline :P
  24. I hate to be frank, but if you feel that playing a tanker is boring, then maybe its not the AT for you. You usually don't play melee toons you say, so I believe it was to much of a transition to play one. I still respect your attempt of giving it a go though, its a pity you didnt find it as challenging as you thought it would be (have you tried increasing the mission difficulty?)

As can be seen from my sig, my first 50 was a inv/em and i loved it, even though i soloed quite a bit.
This was because i didnt want to miss out on the story arcs. After awhile it stopped being grinding levels, but grinding story arc/missions.
When a /em hits 35, it all changes as from night to day.
  25. over on US forums theres a thread about replacing Gauntlet with getting all tankers Taunt as a power for free, possibly throwing in another attack..

    Discuss

my 2 influence would be that at leat there wouldnt be any thread like this anymore..
