What actually is the frequency of Base Rent anyway? Is it four weekly, a specific date of each month, or what?
[/ QUOTE ]
Once a month.
[/ QUOTE ]
Though if you wait until they cut the power its once every 6 weeks.

Thanks guys, knew I could count on you.
I had tried a few websites, but the quoted frequency seemed to changed depending on which ones I visited! -

Jay sat quietly in the small interview room. His dark grey suit and tinted sunglasses a change from his usual attire of red leather and body armour. He'd seen the other members of the Militia enter a few minutes before him, and he wondered what their reactions were.
The police officer entered holding a cop of coffe, a detective in a tailored suit and mirrored sunglasses at his shoulder. The officer put the coffee down in front of Jay.
"There you are Mr Reynolds, black with two sugars." he said and stepped off into one corner.
"We appreciate you coming in, Jamie," said Detective Croquette taking a seat. "And thanks for the information on Dragonfly."
"Sabrina needs help... an' don't think she'll accept it willingly." said Jay, after taking a sip of his coffee. "But ah didn't appreciate hearin' about that stunt at The Militia's base. Ah said ah'd deliver her to ya."
Croquette raised his hands defensively. "That was out of my hands, man. I said to wait for you to do your thing, but the chief is a bit more headstong!"
"Well, ah hope you realise this makes things harder now. n' havin' called in all o'The Militia like this is gonna make them all close ranks. This has bin handled really badly, Croquette."
The detective shakes his head. "I know, I know. Look, the best I can do is to let you know that tracking device we'll give you won't be switched on and will be removable. Plus no contact lense recorder, 'kay?"
Jay sits quietly, finishing his coffee, letting the detective sweat for a moment. "Sure. So ah guess we'd better answer them questiosn so you got me on file too..."
"Sure thing, Jamie. Are you a licensed hero?"
"Yes."
"Are you a member of the Militia?"
"Yes, ah am."
"Are you aware of any vigilanteism within the Militia?"
"Yes. Sabrina San admitted as much to me."
"Are you aware of any criminal activity within the Militia?"
"Yes. Again, Sabrina mentioned her shopliftin' to me. Petty, but a symptom of somethin' deeper ah reckon."
"Do you know the whereabout of Sabrina San?"
"No, ah don't."
"If you were ordered to apprehend Sabrina San, would you obey?"
At this, Jay just raised his eyebrow and glared.
"Ah think ah've shown you where ma loyalties lie. Sabrina needs help, not prison. We agreed she'd get residential care and therapy."
"You sure that's wise, man?"
"Ah believe that Dragonfly is as much a danger to herself as others, an' she needs help. Willing or not."
"Okay, you know I'll try and swing that, Jamie."
Jay stands up, and looks at the other police officer.
"We're done here. Gimme that fake box o'tricks and ah'll leave ya in peace." he says, sliding up his trouser leg. -
Just dinged 30 last night, so Crimson Archer will be availble and prepared for action!!
-
What secondary are you looking at for your Arch/* Blaster?
-
"My Ex-boyfriend Is A Supervillan... But I Still Want Him Back!"
A fantastic concept, Pistol! -
Can I also suggest that even if you don't want to join The Militia, but do want to have a go at this crazy thing we call "Roleplaying", but in a team mission environment, then drop us a line.
We'll be happy to arrange a few In-Character team up & random mission sessions between Militia regulars and RP new comers! -
Thanks FaeryFire, I'll pass on your words to the webmaster!
-
Woo-Hoo!! Good news!!
I'm assuming that this doesn't change the initial cost of buying a plot and it's just that the ongoing base rent will be cheaper?
...or have I misunderstood? -
I say, bump this idea to the new year and reboot it towards the end of Jan. Select a date, time and place and stick to it.
I've been playing a TA/Arch Defender as my main since I started playing CoH and I love Defenders! This team could kick [censored], and I'd like to see it happen! -
I haven't played P&P for quite a few months, and not what I would call regularly for probably three years now.. and boy, do I miss it! Used to have a great group in London, but moving Wolverhampton has pretty much killed any decent campaigning for me.
I've got more rulesbooks, suppliments and ideas for scenarios than I'd care to list (in both printed & PDF formats), although I do miss playing Call of Cthulhu and Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0. If anyone is local to Wolverhampton, and wants another player or GM then please let me know (campaign geared groups only, no 2 month rotation nonsense!).
Started playing CoH as an alternative and love it, but miss the face-to-face interaction sometimes... -
I'm assuming you're thinking along the lines of a certain popular four member super team when comign up with this idea?
I think it's a great idea, and I think it could work well providing you lay down guidlines for style of play at the start. Afterall a SG which is restricted to five members at one time isn't going to grow a base very quickly, or level if you restrict team play to when all five players are online!
If you are all in the same uniform (with 5 emblazened across your chests) and you create a "vibe" on here for celebrity do-gooders and ask other players to "play along" (asking for autographs, snapshots, etc), then this could be REALLY fun!! -
Love it, love it, love it!
It's already my main character's hobby outside hero stuff, so I'm up for it. How would you handicap those with different travel powers though? Crimson Archer is 100% human and doesn't have any. Putting him up against someone with SJ wouldn't be fair. -
The only time and place I can actually see this being appropriate is when your SG is a pre-defined concept (like the Imperial Rifles) where a uniform is part of that concept.
Otherwise you would have to make it REALLY obvious to people that "if you join our SG then when you're on SG business you MUST wear your SG uniform"; to which most people will generally say F.O.
If you want to have a set uniform for you SG then come up with a killer concept first. Now one will join an SG JUST based on the costumes... -
Hey there!
Had a great time tonight guys, and thanks for putting up with Crimson's behaviour. I know he was pro-human, but wow... the things you discovered when playing a new pup!
Hope to catch up with you all again, and get some more RP done; I've missed it. -
Quick question. Do the miltia have a set place to meet up on Thursdays, or is it a case of just issuing TELLS to members?
I'd like to come along tonight (providing my daughter is asleep on time!), but haven't got a clue where I should look or who I should look for?! -
Okay, tried setting up another new registration last night under "halforc80", but still got no password. Yes, I have been checking my junk mail all the way through. Could it be a hotmail problem?
If you can sort me out a password for "crimsonarcher" then I'd appreciate it, Ta! -
I know it's a bit late, but I'm in-game at the moment if anyone senior from The Militia is available for an interview?
If not, then I'd like to arrange a meet.
BTW, I'm having trouble registering on the Militia forum, as it doesn't seem to email me any password? -
I'll post an application on the forum tonight. I'd prefer an IC interview rather than a contrived entrance, as my hero has been playing solo for his 20+ levels and it'd seem odd to me to have him suddenly become an agent of a higher authority!
I haven't played for a couple of months, but I'm hoping to set some time aside in future to get back into things. -
Great! Do the interviews have to be on a Thursday too, or any time?
-
Are there any spaces in the Militia for a long time solo player? I've yet to find any regular team-ups and have come across some of your guys in the past having way too much fun! LOL
-
Chris, first off, which server are you playing on?
-
Global Name: @Crimson Archer
Server: Union
City of Heroes/City of Villains: I own both, but only play CoH.
RP Characters: Crimson Archer
Type of RP: I currently don't have much RP in-game, but hope to get some more. I'm not a big fan of GG personally, but am looking for mission RP and an RP SG.
Can be contacted: IG email, CoH forum (IMs), MSN + Hotmail (halforc80@hotmail.com)
Times on: Start between 8-9 pm usually, and finish around 11pm - Midnite during the week, midnite - 1 am weekends. Timezone: BST -
Hmmm...on that basis, maybe I'll pick Flash Arrow and give it a second try. You never know, might even change my opinion of it!
Good build Capt'n! keep us inform of how you get on, always nice to have another pointy stick wielder on the block! -

Now, take Punisher for a good example. We see Mr. Castle making all sorts of leaping about in the comics, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, running around the jungle, that sort of thing. In CoX, this is stuff that could be represented by the swift+sprint+cj+hurdle combo. But it may be better represented by Superjump - Sure the leaps are awfully high if you do them at maximum height, but from tapping the jump button gently, you get speedy movement that's close to the ground, that can easilly be used to go around obstacles. With little imagination this can be passed off as running with leaping about trashcans and jumping over fences.

Sorry, but to me, SuperJump is the realm of Batroc the Leaper and not The Punisher. Hurdle on it's own I can understand, even combat jump I'll forgive, but not SJ.
With respect to the others, I don't think it's right to be justifying Powers to natural characters. Afteral, this is a SUperhero game and we can all justify any power we want if we choose (I have this doo-hickey which helps me out), but the point is which can be justified without powers. The Ninja's sly grin or "you took the long road" winsome one-liner could just as easily be covering for a power that the hero doesn't want exposed as for any lack of powers.
IMO, the Pool Powersets SJ, SS, Flight & teleport are ALL no-no's for natural, all human, non-gadget heroes. Just get used to being slower than the SUPER heros...
