Molly was in the process of scanning the remains of the Freak she had successfuly, if accidentally, popped when she witnessed the facade collapse. With the assistance of all her augmentations, however, she was capable of dogding most of the the rubble, taking minor blow from pieces she just couldn't quite avoid. Unfortunately, shortly after she managed to get clear, she could only look on in horror as the sight of a few being buried by the falling rubble.
"Not good, not good, NOT GOOD!" she screamed as she made a break for her position as fast as her boots could push her, disabling her stealth suit and frantically looking over the mess, hoping to pick up at least some sign of life.
"C'mon, c'mon! Pick up something already!" she muttered to herself... -
I can make it this time, methinks.
-
Somewhat annoyed that her target seemed to have chickened out, Molly turned her attention to other problems. A quick scan of the area soon picked up on the Freak Quantum firing on the nearby Kheldian.
"Oh no you don't!" Molly barked as she instantly sent her boots into full burn in an effort to reach firing range of the Freak, opting half way there to fire a few bursts at him and hope the hail of bullets would at least distract him enough to stop firing. -

What games were you playing pre-CoH/V?
[/ QUOTE ]
Like myself, Guild Wars. -
Molly glanced behind her in the nick of time, and reacted quickly to the sight of the sawblade hurtling toward her by setting her boots to maximum burn with a single thought, dodging the blade with a moonsault that gave her direct sight of her would be assailant.
"Oh, you wanna play, huh?" she yelled at Back-bitez with a worrying smirk on her face. The pink-clad gunner then uprighted herself with minimal effort, keeping sight of the Tank, before raising her rifle once again. The rifle began to let out a high pitched whine as Molly added "Okay, then... PLAY BALL!", sending a grenade his way shortly after. -

o and my friend can't afford monthly fee's, go figure.
[/ QUOTE ]
I didn't specifically mean your real-world friends. -
Molly.EXE hated being late to a good party, and it was becoming all to obvious to her that she was late to this one as her cloaked form flew down to the chaos in the street.
"Eric," she said to her butler, who worked in the safety of her Galaxy City apartment. "Next time, warn me of something much closer to my position, willya?"
The 'Pink One', still hovering above the mess, still invisible to the naked eye, then raised her rifle. As the scope fed everything she needed to know about the Freaks below to her optical augmentations, she couldn't help but giggle quietly, "Better late than never, I suppose." as her finger then began to apply pressure to the trigger. -

as i see it, you guy's like to punnish your self, and like the endless grind.
i, for one, hate grind.
and i,for one, don't like the dept system currently.
if the xp would scale on your lvl, then i don't mind, but now it's a hell of a grind to go on higher lvls.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hint, sorudo: Crank up the rep, worry less about XP and more on why you're smacking up Council in that office building in Atlas in the first place. Why do you think those story arcs exist, now?
*points to sig*
[EDIT] Get a friend too. That helps. -

i'm curious/worried how you know the sound of a base ball bat hitting someone on the head?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's remarkably like hitting a watermellon with a cricket bat... a horrid squelchy thuddy noise
[/ QUOTE ]
Or he's been using the St. Louis Slammer temp power, which has a more fitting sound. :\ -
Force Bubble's power description:
[ QUOTE ]
Creates a large bubble which protects all allies inside. While active, this power keeps all foes at bay, protecting all allies inside from melee or short ranged attacks. More powerful foes may be able to penetrate the Force Bubble, but may slip and get knocked down and forced back if they try.
[/ QUOTE ]
Seems pretty 'defensive' to me, so I'm failing to see the problem. -
Yep. I personally set up an "ALERT" tab for both Hero and Villain event messages on all my chars and kept it off my Global channel. That way, it stays out of the way when I don't need it but keeps me in the know when I do.

Director Irene Trenz watched the action in the Training Hall from the safety of the observation deck. Sat in a comfy-looking leather chair with her feet on the desk, just out of the way of one of the many monitors displaying the feeds from the camera drones floating above everyone, Trenz had a mobile phone almost glued to her ear as she argued with whoever happened to be on the other end.
"Is it really necessary? Yes, but can't it wait? Oh for... okay, okay, fine. We'll send him over first thing." As she hung up, she let out a sigh before brushing her greyed hair and taking one more look at the monitors. Any effort to conceal her concern at what she herself beleived to be sup-par performance proved to be for naught.
"Ugh. Is this R.A.P.I.E.R or a circus?" she asked herself as she began to write a small note on a sheet of paper, next to the name 777. -
Can't make the Friday coming up. Workplace has organised a night out for a couple of leavers.

It breaks immersion for some people.
[/ QUOTE ]
... I recently went through an RP plotline where my main - who's male - got turned into a woman by a witch he managed to tick off. Dr. Mechano's main hero even experimented with gender-switching recently (with kinda funny in-character results.)... That's somehow immersion-breaking?

That's CoV, CoH is 12 in the EU (and rated Teen in the US).
[/ QUOTE ]
The... CoH loading screen does have the PEGI 16+ rating on its loading screen now. It does have 12+ on the box, but to be honest, does anywhere even sell CoH on its own anymore?
Just a thought, but I think it's safe to assume CoH got itself re-rated with the advent of CoV. Not that it should matter one bit, frankly.
[EDIT] *whaps keyboard* -
[ QUOTE ]
Was CoH an age 12 rated game? Or soemthing... anyway, i think because there could be players of a young age playing, the idea of trans-gender characters is a bit... well let's say it's more mature content.

Somehow I doubt that. >.> -

BUSY MONTH AHEAD FOR LONGSTAFF WARTECH
July looks set to be a chaotic month for Longstaff WarTech, starting off with new offices and labs in Rhode Island, and following that with new projects in the works.
The Florida-based corporation, which specialises in weapons and equipment for the battlefield, opted to set up shop in Paragon City on the advice of founder and CEO Liam Longstaff's daughter Molly several weeks ago.
The grand opening takes place today. However, entry is via invite only, and all invitations have already been mailed according to Molly Longstaff. -
How's about 9pm next Friday, then?
-
You just need the Camo pattern on the pants, that's all. :P

If you and I can hammer out ours ideas via private messages then we'll put out a firm supergroup profile for others to join, what say you?
[/ QUOTE ]
Sounds good to me. I'm up for that. -
[ QUOTE ]
What a coincidence, I was just designing such a team. Maybe this can work out Pointless, if we all join heads.
[/ QUOTE ]
o.0 Cool.
And yeah, Cactus, peeps have already compared the idea to S.H.I.E.L.D., Spectrum (minus the Mysterons?), that sort of thing... I suppose the idea has a tiny bit of OutTrigger's InterForce as well. :\ -
Or something...
Anyways, I got this idea for a Heroside SG this week, partly based on my AR blaster's backstory. The other AR blaster... *tuts* the pink one!
Anyway, ze story behind it:
Longstaff WarTech, in a bid to combat crime in Paragon City, successfully builds its first airborne carrier and launches it towards the city, where it hovers over, ready to deploy its own crimefighting force where it's needed.
Basically, the base would be the innards of the carrier, or at least the part that matters to the soldiers. There would be a uniform, and I was thinking any power/origin would be welcome.
The idea needs work, but a few peeps in GGOOC seemed to like the idea, so I thought I'd post it here... besides, it'll be much easier to discuss here than in GGOOC. >.> -
Just to add, currently been slicing up Rikti to Scooter's "One (Always Hardcore)".
Strangely seems appropriate. >.> -
Ooh, I dunno... I listen to a lot of stuff, but I always connect John O'Callaghan feat. Audrey Gallagher - Big Sky (Agnelli & Nelson Remix) with flying around with my Scrapper, DJ Stacker. >.>

PARTY CRASHED BY MAD ROBOT!
As this paper goes to press, the PPD are busy investigating the mess caused by an unexpected attack on a party held in the city by Florida weapons mogul Liam Longstaff.
Things looked grim for the billionaire when a strange blue robot broke into the hall where the party was held, attacked a few of the guests and then threatened the man's life with his blades.
However, things could have taken a turn for the worse were it not for the efforts of both Longstaff's personal security team and his daughter, Molly. While the single shot fired on the robot by the girl caused no damage to it, the 'message' appeared to have been recieved when the robot fled the building.
The incident resulted in a few casualties, 1 fatal, 3 severe and several minor, all inflicted by the robot. The Longstaffs however, remain safe and well, and Liam himself has openly offered to aid those affected by the incident in any way he can.
Neither of them were at the time available to comment,
