Rikti invasion : how to see where it is

Check what channels you have in your chat tabs, there are a few channels for event notifications that you may need to add if they're not there already.
There's a channel for Hero Zone Events and a channel for Villain Zone Events. You might want to get them added to your chat tab. Right-click on the tab you want to add them to, find the channel you want in the right-hand box, and click "Add".
The wisdom of Shadowe: Ghostraptor: The Shadowe is wise ...; FFM: Shadowe is no longer wise.

Thanks for the replies. I'll give this a go tonight.
Will this show me what events are currently in progress or jsut the ones that start while I'm logged in ?
for example: If i log in while the Rikti invasion started in Galaxy city 5 minutes previously will i see this in the channel ? Can I create a new tab just to display the event channel that I can skip to when I want to keep an eye on things ?
I'll experiment tonight anyway but if you know how to do it or even if its possible at all I'd appreciate it

It would be nice if we got a quick overview of all ongoing events when you log on with a character (just a simple if-event then-notify check on all the possible events just after MOTDs etc.) Another small QoL feature please devs.

Quick answer: No, it won't. The zone event notification to chat channel is an immediate one-off message. I agree that this would be a fantastic addition to the information given while logging on, though.

[/ QUOTE ]I would suggest adding these into your global tab, follow instructions above to do this. Hero events show as deep purple, villain as red. Regrettably you are only told when they are about to start, when to take cover and when they are finished. Normally they come in batches, you may see 5 on any one server in a 30 minute period (approx) then nothing at all for an hour or more. However, these times are pure guesstimates.

Would this be worth it though really? AFAIK most events dont last that long.

I think I may be the only one, but I'm starting to get annoyed by constant Rikti spam wherever I go. How long is this going on for?
I know some people may wish to argue, but hey, it's my opinion.

i kind of agree, i like the invasions dont get me wrong just wish they were spread out more instead of every 5 minutes (well thats what it feels like )

Just remove that from your chat tab then.
set myself up an "events" channel that I treat as a sort of police radio. switch to it while solo-ing so I can keep an eye on what pops up and where.

As has been said, you can remove the chat from your tab if it bugs you that much but considering the number of people who do enjoy the raids, and their relative infrequency, it's hardly "constant"

Yep. I personally set up an "ALERT" tab for both Hero and Villain event messages on all my chars and kept it off my Global channel. That way, it stays out of the way when I don't need it but keeps me in the know when I do.

I logged in last night to look for a Rikti invasion event. waited around for a bit (about half an hour) but didnt see any zone alerts (Rikti spotted in X or Y) but then I saw "alert cancelled: the rikti have retreated from atlas park".
I was pretty annoyed. With myself mostly for not knowing how to check what zone events are currently on (are the fires starting in SC , which zones are under rikti invasion) etc.
so, can anyone give me a quick tutorial on how to check for zone events (rikti invasion for example).
