I will happily delete a Hecatomb: Chance for Negative Energy Damage IO, just as easily as I once tore apart a Mox Ruby and an Ancestral Recall in front of a group of other Magic players.
It's only influence! -
On one particular ITF, the leader had the idea of all of us landing on the roof on the building behind Rommie, without touching any of the Cimororan traitors or 5th Column beforehand. Rommie and his fluffy bunnies were pulled up to the roof with us and we managed to defeat him from there. The ambushes were a little less coherent for having to jump up onto that roof, so that made them easier to deal with.
The leader said he always did it that way. Since it seemed to work, I was not about to complain! -

I'd like to keep PvP out of the Shard, because enabling PvP in a zone alters the rules of the game pretty much fundamentally, and I'm not interested in learning how the PvP rules work if I'm not interested in engaging in PvP. And I'm not. The Shard is a whole dimension. It ought to be big enough for everybody.
[/ QUOTE ]
But I am occasionally curious about PvP. Despite what the doomsayers love to reiterate time and again, PvP does still happen in this game. That's why I suggested both a PvP and a co-op zone, so that everyone could be happy! I think it could work thematically. -

One idea I had was to add 3 shard zones that were villain side only that dealt with the other aspects of Rularuu, plus one Co-Op zone where the idea was to have a Co-Op Raid versus the 200-foot tall version of Rularuu.
[/ QUOTE ]4 villain-only zones (include villain counterpart to FBZ), and the co-existant zone needs to deal with the 4th missing aspect (there are 7 aspects, and we only have 3), and you've got a suggestion that I've posted several times.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is all similar to an idea I've posted a few times as well. The only real difference is that I've suggested both a co-op and and a PvP zone. The PvP zone would be centered aruond something coveted by both good and evil sides, for which they compete. The co-op zone would be heroes and villains teaming together to deal with a much larger threat, which would be Rularuu himself.
Oh yeah, I remember the other idea I had... open up access to Nemesis' base in the Shadow Shard, to both sides. They could put in a link to the Rikti homeworld from there. -

A Longbow Frigate GM in Nerva, it launches (spawns) Chasers and shots at villains with 20mm cannons.
Edit: "Cannons" not "canon", Yes, it shoots the Dev Hero one at us who points out why our characters contradict CoX canon lore and bans them.
[/ QUOTE ]
How about a Longbow Frigate vs. Arachnos Flier in Nerva, every so often? Kind of like Jack vs. Eochai for villains! -

He might also have agreed with someone of a differing opinion. 'Cause that instantly labels you as a brown-nosing Dev-Lover...

Scandalous! -
You probably committed some cardinal sin, like failing to automatically believe every opinion and bit of anecdotal evidence that she typed out with her own fingers, and daring to (gasp) have her back it up with actual facts before you'd consider its credibility.
Shocking! -
[ QUOTE ]
Probably not true, of course, since it points out that Nemesis is really a bumbling fossil and not the master criminal he's supposed to be, but it is completely consistent with all known facts on the table about the start of the Rikti War.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, you could figure that Nemesis would count on Hro'Dtohz taking such an opportunity to seize power for himself and his Lineage of War. It would make sense that he would have studied the Rikti extensively before making his first move, and would have identified Hro'Dtohz as the means to his end. -

Good job Steampunkette.
[/ QUOTE ]
Coming from you, I cannot say that this is much of a recommendation.
[/ QUOTE ]
Coming from you, that insult is meaningless.
[/ QUOTE ]
....Aaaaand I think its impossible for you to insult me, since I hold your opinion to be of less worth than that of the average soft-shelled mollusc's... or DJ Zero's, take your pick.
Before you shout "NO, U!" please note that I really don't care either way. Now get out there on the dance floor and burn it up! You can bring your ladylove Rach there with you, if you like.

So... you care even less about him than he cares about you? Is this a contest about who care about whom the least? -

Only if we define wise as self important and succinct and concise as meandering and elaborate.
Also rub a little harder, I think you missed a spot back there.

Who's this we you talkin' about, kemo sabe? Some people should realize they're really only speaking for themselves!
Unless that was a "royal 'we'", in which case I'd say someone has a severe case of swelled head. -
You know, now that we have a Mission Architect, what we really need to compliment it is a Mission Oracle...
-
Yeah, I wasn't in the mood for teaming last night. So I just dropped the mission and continued the arc I was on from there. I've managed to remain in a stalemate with certain AVs with that tank, but an EB Ghost Widow is just a total nightmare!
-
Frak, I thought it was psionic. I got better defense against Negative Energy damage thanks to IO set bonuses but it certainly wasn't enough to overcome GW's assault.
-
Just out of curiosity, what are the magnitudes of Ghost Widow's holds?
I had an encounter with her as a level 52 EB, playing my level 50 WP/DB Tank. With 3010 hitpoints, ~1.6% regen, ~4% recovery, rather decent levels of resistance to (and defense against) smashing, lethal, and psionic damage (using the impervium armor set is likely overkill with a WP tank, but I was going for a theme!), dispatching most foes is a cakewalk. Ghost Widow was most definitely not, and I might as well have had no hold protection at all. Bother! -

It's always worked for me. It does a Tesla Cage animation when it works.

No wonder I could never see it working, since I put this set in Tesla Cage. -

Can you explain this strategy? Do the nukes weaken hami that much?
[/ QUOTE ]
When you have THAT many nukes, yes! :P
I'd defer to Sandolphan for the exact strategy, but it was requested that everyone have all 3 Warburg Nukes. Not everyone did, but there was at least 25 people that did have all 3 (if I remember correctly.)
We dropped nukes in stages, mainly to keep from hitting the respawn level of the Mitos.
But, once the first bloom was down, we just barreled through. We waited for each step to drop remaining nukes. Once the call came out for all pets (Shivans, Vanguard Heavies, and anything else anyone had) Hami was down in no time.
One of the coolest raids I've been a part of. I'd like to see another one, but it took a lot of planning, thanks to Sandolphan and EVERYONE that stepped up to lead the teams.
[/ QUOTE ]
ConFlict have led similar (under 10 minutes) raid on Justice, red side, few months ago. The preparation took a lot of time and effort. Whole week before raid, ConFlict and his friends were helping other players obtain nukes and shivans, were leading multiple rikti ship raids to help with Vanguard merits for HVASes... But raid itself was tremendous fun and success.
2-3 months ago Justice started to run non-retreat raids (Blue side), it allowed to cut down raid time from 40-45 minutes on average to 25-30 minutes.
[/ QUOTE ]
The hidden cost is in time spend pre-planning and prepping everyone up for the raid.
So really, that Hamidon raid took a week or so. I mean it's an awesome trick and all (I was there to witness it!) but it's kinda like saying it only took you a few minutes to make a cake because that's how long it took you to open the door to the oven and take the (already finished baking) cake out and serve it. -

Windows 7 RC1 download
Windows 7 is the next major release of the Windows operating system. Right now it's still in Beta, and free to download and use (for test/review purposes only, of course!). Once it goes live and hits the store shelves, that will more or less stop being the case! -
Yours should also be made a lot easier to find! Than that one, I mean.
You make it easy to use, easy to find, and easy to download and install, I think you'd have a guaranteed hit. -
Oh man, it looks like you already have some competition!!!
-
Dang.
This is kinda reminding me of the old ANSI editors you used to find for BBSes...
Guess I'm dating myself. -
One feature you should add to it is use of the IMG tag. That's disabled on this board, but it would be a handy feature to add if you wanted to make it more generic.
