Looks horrible.
But maybe that's just cause I hate Chris Angel. -
I'll be interested if it sticks to the atmosphere of the first arc or two and makes sure to show how awesome Gert is.
Aw, who am I kidding. They'll probably just focus on the stupid goth chick. -

Quote:The theory: Sony got lucky cause they made a good CD based console while Nintendo stuck with cartridges and Sega's system flopped.Again that's not luck, it's called making the first good CD based console and using a big brand name like Sony to get lots of 3rd party support, something even SEGA had a hard time doing.
The counterpoint: Sony succeeded cause they made a good CD based console while Nintendo stuck with cartridges and Sega's system flopped.
Hmmmm, which argument to go with....... *thinky face* -
Quote:That's pretty much what he says. With Nintendo making stupid/bad decisions and Sega on it's last legs, PS1 had minimal competition. While the inability of the X-Box to sell in Japan helped the PS2 become the juggernaut it was.My 2 cents (even though I haven't actually watched the video): The only thing lucky about Sony's success was in the timing.
He also states that he wasn't talking about the quality of the games or anything. Merely the position of the industry during Sony's rise to power. -

Quote:Ah, so you just don't agree with him. Well, that's fine (though I think using 'retarded' is uncalled for). He said himself that it was simply a theory. Something to consider. Also calling the success of the playstation and playstation 2 as luck is just retarded
And you have to admit some of his points ARE valid. Playstation DID dominate the industry at the time when their two opponents were at their weakest. Whether or not it's true is a moot point. It's simply something to think on. That's what the Game Overthinker is all about. -

Quote:I'm the opposite. The X-Men books since Hope Summers showed up have been a lot of fun... But it looks like they're getting away from that with Vampire'ing. X-Factor seems excluded from that, so it will still be fun.
I find X-Factor boring and a bit pretentious. Plus I'm not big on how Peter David's using Rahne in X-Factor, and she's one of my favorite characters so..... yeah.....
Conversely, I'm loving the crazy vampire stuff. But then, I buy just about anything with Ambush Bug, Squirrel Girl, Beta Ray Bill, or Howard the Duck in it, so I'm a big fan of that kinda thing. -

Quote:Ah good.YES. I've got the entirety of World War Hulks (including the She Hulk comics) at home and all the aftermath comics. So, again, YES, I'm certain about it.
I wouldn't want anyone blindsided by ridiculous plot twists.
Y'know... any more than usual anyway. -
Hey, just makin' sure. I never take anything in comics for granted unless I've actually read the issue. And even then I kinda look at it sideways.
-
Quote:Are you absolutely sure?Have the comic. Yeah, the Red She-Hulk is Betty Ross-Banner.
Cause if all she's confessed to is him being her father, then you should prepare yourself for them springing some hitherto unknown Ross daughter that he had with.... oh, I don't know.... Madame Masque or something. -

Quote:Which logically means that all colleges are exactly the same way.I took a half-dozen different philosophy/sociology classes (always on an Audit basis after the first one) during my college time [and only finished two of them, the others I was asked/told to get out of the class after presenting disenting viewpoints one too many times]
YAY LOGIC!! -
Quote:Also it's short. The point is, Portal is the equivalent of an introductory text for this syllabus while all the other works are masterpieces. The instructor admitted that he considered more formally challenging games but decided on this one because it would be easier to receive permission to teach.
Using a game that's 60+ hours probably wouldn't fit too well into the schedule.
I personally see no problem with it. Whether you think it's the best example or not, it's simply a short, sweet modern example of the theme they're studying. It isn't the lynch pin of the class; just one small part of it. It's also a great way to get kids interested in the subject. -
And spoilers; he's still being a total ***hat in Academy. Only about three issues in and he's already emo-cutting himself with his old Penance helmet. If comic's had sound I'd expect there'd be Linkin Park playing in his room.

I am unable to build up one iota of enthusiasm for this movie, either positive or negative.
And as a big X-Men fan, I find that rather sad. -
A new Scooby-Doo product?
And the monsters are.... people in costumes?
....... I... I think I might cry.
I am so all over this show. And I was wondering if anyone else noticed Don Knotts.
