More X-Men: First Class Details Emerge
Okay, I'll bite. Is Havok the older brother or the younger brother in this movie? I know he was older in the Ultimate universe...

That actually got me confused as well. But yes, it does seem to indicate that Alex will be the older brother in this movie (much like in the Ultimate universe).
One other minor thing I've been noticing.... the spelling of the name. In the comics it seems to be spelled Havok. But all the articles I've seen about the movie that mentions his name all spell it as Havoc (which is why I spelled it that way in my article). I wonder if it's just a misspelling that reporters are writing... or is that really how it will be intentionally spelled in the movie credits?
Still... though, maybe I better spell it Havok. ^_^; Updating post.
Wait, is this set before Wolverine? 'cause Prof X was bald in that one, and you saw Cyclops and other run toward the Professor... But he was standing... And they said that'd address how he got in his wheelchair in this one... Gah!
I am so glad this is a reboot (It is, right?), because I am so confused right now! Marvel's editorial staff isn't even this bad. Close, but not this bad.

Wolverine was set in 1979, at least it was if we are to believe the movie's climax at Three Mile Island was covered-up by the story of the reactor leak that took place in March of that year.
Though I think Emma Frost was to be in that movie and was around... 14 then, meaning she would have been born in 1965.
Then again, Kitty Pryde was like 14 when she was introduced in 1979 and 31 years later, she's only about 18, or 19, so...

I am unable to build up one iota of enthusiasm for this movie, either positive or negative.
And as a big X-Men fan, I find that rather sad.

I thought XMO:Wolverine took place in the 80's?
But anyway, the more I hear about First Class, the more it scares me.
Bacon as Sebastian Shaw?
Of all the crap Chuck Austen did during his X-Men run, they pick the utterly worst thing he introduced?!
And now it's set in the 60's?!?!
Ugh. And, now Frost and Havoc would be in their, what, 70's in modern times? I know it's an alternate universe and all, but still, bleh. That's almost as silly as Emma being like 26 -now- in the comics.
Tales of Judgment. Also here, instead of that other place.
good luck D.B.B.

Scott Summers and Jean Grey won’t be in the film, but Scott’s brother Alex (Havok) will be there (played by Lucas Till). Emma Frost (January Jones), Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) and the Hellfire Club will also appear. The film will have a more international feel and will be set in various locations including England, the US, Russia (USSR) and more.
X-Men: First Class will start filming on August 31, 2010 and will release on June 3, 2011. It’s produced by Bryan Singer and directed by Matthew Vaughn. To see more of the cast for this film, checkout our previous article.
I actually like this idea. Having it set in the 60's allows for some retro tech and more comic book style costumes. And there's the Hellfire Club, which works great for a 60's setting. Looking forward to this.
