Batman Relaunch
Wonder what's gonna happen to the Dick/Damien duo now that Bruce is back.

Uncanny X-Force
Wolverine promised Cyclops that X-Force would disband -- he lied. A secret society has resurrected En Sabah Nur, putting into motion events that will turn this age of heroes into an Age of Apocalypse! To hold them back, Wolverine and Archangel bring together Fantomex, Deadpool, and Psylocke to form The Uncanny X-Force! Stained by their history, they are the only ones capable of making the hard resolutions necessary. A band of likeminded friends and mercenaries set to one purpose, one big ugly task -- kill Apocalypse by any means.

Cable's gonna sad he missed out on that.

Batman, Inc. Bruce and Dick are both going to be Batman...Dick's gonna be Gotham based while Bruce takes it more global. I linked to IGN in my "tale of 2 batmen thread"

If you thought Spider-Man had been involved in some big storylines in the past year, think again. This November, Marvel is launching what it's calling the "Big Time" era for the Amazing Spider-Man series. Dan Slott will be the sole writer of the title, for an oversized, bi-weekly shipping book. With the Hobgoblin, new costumes, a new job and more on the way, it's likely you'll want to have a look at this one. Plus Slott's artistic accomplices are truly mighty – Stefano Caselli, Humberto Ramos and Marcos Martin.

If the bi-weekly action isn't enough for you, be sure to scope out some of Spidey's rogues. Kelly Sue DeConnick is focusing in on the former Dark Reign master himself, Norman Osborn. Meanwhile Zeb Wells and Clayton Crain are preparing to bring back Carnage in a whole new way. The next few months should be pretty good to Spidey fans.

The Critical Books

Amazing Spider-Man
Writer: Dan Slott | Artist: Stefano Caselli, Marcos Martin, Humberto Ramos
Key Release: Issue #648 – November 3, 2010

Osborn
Writer: Kelly Sue DeConnick | Artist: Emma Rios
Key Release: Issue #1 – November 3, 2010

Carnage
Writer: Zeb Wells | Artist: Clayton Crain
Key Release: Issue #1 – October 13, 2010
Sounds good. I'm still behind so I don't know how OMIT occurred and progressed, but this sounds good.

Carnage returning - Last seen ripped in half by the Sentry in space in a throwaway scene in New Avengers #1. I knew that wouldn't kill the symbiote (it's a space-faring alien), but I wonder if they'll try to keep Cletus Kasady alive through it.

The Amazing Spider-Man story is interesting simply because Dan Slott will be writing it all, he's great. And I like Clayton Crain returning to draw Spider-Man and Stefano Casseli should have a good take.

I'll also be sure to track the Avengers issues. The Walking Dead should be amping up in time for their TV debut. I really like Jonathan Hickman, but I can't get into his Fantastic Four (just not a fan of the team), though his Secret Warriors has been cool. Cosmic Marvel has been dull since Thanos Imperative began. I don't know if the issues have been slightly delayed, but it feels like it has been a long time since Thanos Imperative: Ignition kicked things off. I think I'm still going through withdrawals due to the Guardians of the Galaxy and Nova cancellations. And, it seems cool that Herc will be going semi-cosmic in his return. Bendis' Scarlet #1 was cool, so I'm in for some more. Invincible is always fun.

After a fairly dull fast few months or so, it's cool to see that Marvel may get more interesting again. Just when I was thinking about getting back out on comics, too.

Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.

Wow nothing on the Darkwing Duck Series by Boom.

The books sold so well it is now an ongoing series. The writing is really good and so is the art. They are going for more of an adult feel for the series, the writing is something you would expect from Marvel or DC with some humor in it.

The series takes place a year and a half after the series ended. St. Carnard no longer needs Darkwing Duck but we soon discover that is part of a neferous plot by one of his enemies and you see all the fan favorites from the series.

Need to plug this. I am having a lot of fun reading this and one of the best comics I read all year.

I don't see much that's interesting to me, besides the Brightest Day and Green Lantern stuff. The overhaul of the Batman line is being spearheaded by Morrison, and I generally don't like his work. He changes characters in weird ways too much for my tastes, and he promises to make Bruce more of a spiritual character. I don't plan to get Batman Inc.

I'm also not that fond of Straczynski's approach to Superman and Wonder Woman. But with Geoff Johns still big in DC, and Gail Simone still writing comics I like, I have hope that DC overall will keep drawing my interest.

Marvel hasn't done anything to draw me back. Ninja team X-Men with the claws and swords and guns just looks dumb to me, and don't get me started on Bendis-style Avengers, Rulk, and Queseda-Spidey. (But having said that, I am enjoying the Thanos Imperative, because I'm always a sucker for a Thanos story.)

I take it you didn't read the previous X-Force by Kyle and Yost. Granted, they're not writing this one, but it proved that a dumb sounding idea can still turn out awesome.

The first issue didn't hook me, but it has been years since I've seen the TV show. Maybe another chance is in order.

Agreed. I liked it. Especially the Clayton Crain art.

Thus far, Marvel has done a fantastic job with its Halo products... Marvel's Halo track record has been great , so we're looking forward to another successful addition to Bungie's extensive universe.
Errr... what?
