Quote:Animal pack pulled for I20 sneak peek.Very nice, but where can I find the animal heads?
And honourable mentioning of animal fur on monstrous gloves would be nice...
I'd prefer if we could have the actual claws on hands and feets a different color but I know this will not happen...
I think, when this goes live we should have a few costume sets from the dropdown in the tailor - would help a lot...
Edit: I'm on the Euro Test Server, btw...
Animal heads were listed under the main head listing...
Standard, Mask with Hair..... Monstrous, Animal XYZ

Thanks,
Oh and gratz to AVATEA on hitting 4000 community posts. -
I did suggest somewhere previously the AE Exp should be a bit like The Tutorial Exp, limited to so many levels (like 5) without playing any standard content, so for say doing a contact mission outside the AE you get 1 level of AE exp available again.
Earn 3 levels in ae and you have 2 'training' levels left (of 5), run a contact/standard mission and you would then have 3 'training' levels left to use.
This way it doesn't (fully) nerf exp, it does slow ae levelers down and so on... -
Try in the water where the bubbles are, just east of Lift C

Try show info on the games power selection screen and moving the by level slider as it like all powers varies depending on selected level and enhancements.
Tech info: http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power....Shield_Charge
Which if I read it correctly the power itself does 0 DMG, but the psudopets it summons do the DMG. -
Quote:1. Why don't they link price to language on the upper menu?Regarding buying the booster, then yes, it is annoying that I have to make loops in order to buy the US pack, just because I live in Europe.
On a slightly different subject, I find it wrong that there are no 'with skin' option for Organic Armor. The description and all the artwork are conceptual supporting that, and even the image showing the booster, gives the impression that there is an 'with skin' option.
English (US) = $, English (UK) = £
2. Agreed along with my aformentioned bug or two -
And another 2 bugs already...
Female heads (May affect male/huge too)
1. Organic Armor - With no pattern (None) the eyes glow and the back of the head pattern has a few glowing stripes...
2. Bioluminecent - On the Standard head I cannot seem to get any patterns showing, even tho I can select them.
The new glow wings and tails IMO really need a skin matching option.
The monserous boots have been needing patterns for the longest time (Since they were put in the game.)
also all boots need to allow for patterns too... Exo-Proto boots for example force the Exoproto pattern.
On this subject... The new chest and (skirt) pants of the Organic Armor can take patterns where the gloves and boots cannot.
Oh and Avatea, please check your PM's. -
Usually yes, but if you level up mid tf/sf, it's a pita to get to a vendor.
And by dropping items to the market (say up to a limit depending on the item) it would also cause the prices to drop to a more reasonable level, as well as having those market items acting as inf sinks...
IMO this would be the same as seeding items onto the market but using the existing lost drops, vendor sales and deletions as the source rather than a fixed amount of each item after every maintenance.
There are a few games where this seeding happens after a set time/mainenence and all players do is buy the limited seed items up and resell high, my QoL suggestion would act as an item seed source 24/7 allowing for a finite number of items at a reduced cost across the whole combined market... NA, EU, Blue and Red sides.
Think about it, there is no way a finite number of seed items will match all the purchase orders across the game, It would mean however that there would be a fair chance to buy the item below the maximum, if it drops to the market. -
IMO I would suggest the following QoL changes:
Items (Salvage, Enhancements, Recipies, etc.) should if...
1. Sold to a vendor or deleted be moved to the market at vendor (store) price with 0 Inf to the deleting player.
2. Full let any additional 'Drops' automatically 'drop' to the market (Store Price) with 0 Inf to the player with the full type slot.
These 2 changes would IMO generate a massive boost in market supply and act as an Inf sink.
ATM if you have say a full recipe inventory @lvl 50 you may miss a purple recipe drop which is lost to the game forever...
With the above QoL changes this lost purple recipe would go on the market as an Inf sink at the store price,
thereby lowering the Inf in circulation and 'theroretically' the market price for that item. -

Good to hear from you again!, and thanks for the linkypoos.
I am aware of the 'Going Rogue in Europe' thread as I do like to get my weekly lurk in on the CoH forums.
I've got to say, while I am looking forward to both Going Rogue and Issue 19, I do find myself joining you in the community's concern over the European servers, the decline in EU online population numbers, possible server merges, NA accounts and the lack of marketing / shelf presence this side of the pond.
It would be nice to see the Devs addressing what seems to be a fair majority of concerned EU-subscribers.
On leaving best part of a year ago, EU server population was not particularly a problem and numbers on both Union and Defiant were quite respectable. Now, because answers have not been particularly forthcoming re: any cross-server teaming tech that would allow the lifeblood of CoH (teaming) to keep flowing EU-side, I'm starting to wonder myself when (or if) the Devs are ever going to officially state their intentions on this. Some want an EU-server merge, some want a NA-transfer option with all their hard work and priviledges re:toon & SG stats carried over, but a concensus is going to have to be reached at some point with more competition being released Nov' 2010 because you can bet they're going have boxed shelf-presence and more marketing than you can shake a stick at.
I'm not hearing particularly hopeful noises coming from the CoH Vets joining CO, but i've still got my fingers crossed. Heres hoping Melissa & Co pull off something incredible with GR/I:19 and CoH is still relevant a year and more from now. I'd love to see a real revitalising rebirth in EU subscriptions for CoH.
Btw, Nice work with the texture graphic art!, you've been busy!..... heheh, and I can't believe you have that many toons! - *laughs* - well, actually I do, but you are completely and hopelessly insane in that fantastic lovable way only CoH veterans are!.
Take care and hope to see you in what I'm hoping is a thriving Paragon City later on this summer.
Kind Regards,
Mumsie.
As my sig also says: -
Erm... NO!
A server list merge denotes the listings being joined.
I'm suggesting moving the whole EU server block over to the US (NA) as a full data dump x-fer.
Additionally this would x-fer all EU toons, sg's, etc.
And it would switch us all to 1 set of codes and make the lone EU PTS (Test Server) and the original 4 EU servers redundant thereby allowing for their removal, and saving money for Paragon Studios/NC.
We could then get a boxed version as it would be the same as the NA version, yes they would need to allow for the current EU updaters language options, but I'm sure there are French and French Canadians who would play together, not forgetting our German 'allies'.

And MY PoV on the server situ is:
Regarding CoH EU/NA, personally Id like to see:
4 Locked servers appear NA side named the same as our EU ones.
A full EU data dump to these 4 NA servers.
A redirect of our updater to the 4 new locked NA servers.
(NA normal servers still locked out to EU but listed )
The EU (Original) servers Locked to all.
The unlocking of the EU now NA 4 servers to the NA.
And the NA servers to the EU (Now NA) Players.
It would mean that NC only needed to make 1 set of game codes for CoH
And NA boxes and codes would be compatible!!!

I'd have to say natural too.
A certain Kryptonian with a S logo also happens to be of Natural origin...

With your natural origin you have to rely on your cunning and skill. This origin will give you access to Throwing Knives.
This attack has a very short range and deals minor Lethal damage, as well as inflicting additional Damage over Time. -
Quote:Simple install:Personally, while I'd find helpful, I tend not to monkey with games like that. No offense though, I'm more afraid of me screwing it up somehow than of anything else!
Step 1.
Unzip to your desktop
Step 2 - PC.
Copy the 'Data' folder/directory from your desktop into your 'City of Heroes' folder/directory
Step 2 - MAC.
Go to applications, control-click on City of Heroes and pick "show package contents".
Then copy the 'Data' folder/directory from your desktop into your 'Contents\Resources\transgaming\c_drive\coh' folder/directory
Step 3.
Start CoH/Restart CoH (If running)
Done.

Oh, thank you,
My thoughts exactly, not forgetting that it makes identifying the locations for each beacon that much easier and quicker from a distance...
I was looking at the ones on the 'http://unbidden.fantasyalternative.org' site and was inspired to make some of my own...
If anyone is interested in an Arcane Beacon Set in a similar style...
I'm working on it
EU @Coolio -
As inspired by and now available on 'http://unbidden.fantasyalternative.org'
Click the Image above to be taken to my MediaFire Account where the Beacon Replacement .zip is located.
Simple Instructions:
Unzip into your ‘City of Heroes’ directory and the next time you start CoH you should see the changes on all Tech teleport beacons, well all except ‘Pocket D’ as that still shows a broken beacon sadly...
Notes:
As this ‘modification’ only changes the Tech Beacons locally like the VidiotMaps mini map updates do, only players who extracted my .zip will see it.
Everyone else will still see the default Tech Beacons unless they installed a similar modification. (In which case they will see that version of it)
Additionally this is NOT PC specific. (Therefore it does not have an installer, or self-extracting .exe)

Hope you like these,

Quoting myself from earlier...
These are the i17 map files in a .zip
Just unzip into your City of Heroes/Data directory.
Quote:If it helps, I made a .zip of the VidiotMaps map files for a manual MAC install.
vm_mappack.zip
(Located: http://www.mediafire.com/Coolio)
I can't make a MAC installer, but all you would need to do is to extract the zip to the directory containing CityofHeroes.exe
And no I'm not ripping off VidiotMaps, as I state it is their version of the CoH maps but without the installer and uninstaller .exe's as these do not work on MAC's.

Note for VidiotMaps...
Once the VidiotMaps site starts hosting it's own files again and restores the MAC files, or asks me politely. I'll pull the zip file from the above link. -
Quote:CalendarHmm never knew the forums had a calendar... don't see it anywhere either. Got a link?
Hope that helps
