As far as the pvp sets I think the dorp rate was 1 in 8-+ or so. If you and the others all resubbed get together and farm each other in bloody bay or the arena. It solid monies and helps out alot. Also you may want to think about lvling something on freedom or transferring. As some will say yes there is pvp on justice, just not alot of it though.

Freedom is where I play since I've resubbed but so far I've been flexing my PvE muscle. I'm using my sonic/therm for that Justice PvP league thing but Justice seems dead everytime I log on for anything else. Once I'm not poor a xfer is likely in his future assuming I don't lose interest in him. Oh and Corr's can get Power Boost now? This toon is shaping up nicely methinks.

Corrs get pb but you will probably want to pick one of the two, either leadership/hiber or focused acc/phase. Not having a phase type power really blows these days.

Man the amount of living I would have missed out on if this was true. I get your market point, just saying it doesn't really convey to real life well. Also being the guy to call during moving time is about as much social status as one could ever want.

AS the title suggest I am looking to roll my last spot on freedom and I am wanting to make a ff toon. I have played to ffers to 50 so I have a really decent idea how to play and the strengths of it. Was just sort of curious if any has a particular reason they think set X might be the best for it.

Sonic therm is very nice. Elec therm is a little better in duels. Definitely pick up shout. Go for as much kb protection and +hp as you can with a good dose of +rech and +dam. The -end procs are nice but really the damage proc form the pvp set is way nicer. For a dueling build you probaly won't have enough slots to truly utilize your pet but it can be done.



Also welcome back, wasn't your son therm named pulsewave or something close. Your ice cold was good stuff back in the day as well. And troken used to play your account and make your fire em blaster look bad

Reactor/@Galactor is on freedom. As is Ravens. Mac and myself are both but pvp wise pretty much freedom.

If you pvp on freedom in RV you are sure to see me. Righteous and Just is the toon I have played the most recently but I have a slew of fresh 50s on both sides thanks to ae that I have been playing.

It should be rare at best, assuming equal skill and fotmness.

It really comes down to personal choice. Both can be played about as effectively the only diffrence being sometimes you can pahse and get more kill. On the flip side you can also phase and get killed. Find the one you like and roll with it.



The one thing I will add as an exception is that if you team with stalkers a lot web nade is the [censored].

Psi > Son anyways so meh.

POwer thrust is very very underslotted. in my opinion that much melee is a waste of how the toon would be most effective. My psi em is down to just power thrust for melee. I would three slott he pvp set in temp invul for some more kb and drop the status res pieces. If you are going to put explosives in tk make sure to get the proc in there. Pff+aid vs Tactics+hiber is really a personal preference. I myself can not stand playing without some form of +perception. I would maybe look into the pvp sets for some more +recharge.




Edit: be careful taking anything I say to serious. I have the nuke on my psi em.

Medicine pool on a therm, srslywtf?!

If you don't see why ap is good just go roll a thermal troller. Spike heals are huge in this day and age of heal decay.

Depending on the situation Psi/ > Son/. Fire is firmly in third atm though I prefer playing fire blast over sonic on blasters. Ice is just garbage now. Everything it had going for it before i13(fast recharge and animations, good secondary effects) makes it just about worthless. Yes it can still be used but nowhere near the levels it used to be.

When they make pvp in arena where I don't have to check boxes you will see me there again. Til then I will be loading into zones only.

Pvp board lurkers should lurk more.

Aim offers +tohit not acc. You need tohit to punch through defense accuracy will not help much against high defense. And even though you think the +dam isn't worth it, I promise you it really is.

I would drop fulcrum and keep tesla and the patron hold.

I sit here and wonder why I need to explain it to you at all. You have already stated you lost interest in playing your emp after the changes and that the zones you are play in are empty. Unlike you I am in rv on freedom prety much everyday actually playing this. I team and I solo. I use multiple toons on both sides. The base res a squishy gets + phase/hiber + regen aura makes an emp nigh impossible to kil unless the go brain dead or just flat out suck or are complete overwhelmed.


Over to the blaster side. If you have pff still you deserve to die. Hoarfrost + hiber along with button mash win offense is pretty damn solid in zone. Throw an emp behind it that can burst heal and you have a toon that can wreck like its i12.



I appreciate your long thought post with stuff that you think how it works or it seems it works. Again I will mention I am actually doing this and seeing this. Yes i pvped in the old system yes I pvp in the new system. Sounds like you in particular should get out there where the people actually are and try it out for yourself. You may learn somethings instead of theory crafting stuff to post.

Actually I am neither good sir, but thanks for your opinion. I pvp probably about as much anybody out there right now. You are applying a lot of theory and casual play into what you think this system is and does. I am here to tell you that you are very wrong on quite a few things. A well played emp or well played pain dom are the two hardest non melee kills in the game atm. In the old days you could toast any emp with alot less effort than it takes now.




Also if you didn't know blasters are even more easy mode than before.
