Hey guys. I'm working on an Empathy/Dark Defender and was playing on Mids' Hero Designer and came up with this build. Tell me what you think.

Err... this seems more like a dueling build than a standard PvP Emp build. Is that your intent? If so I'd have to look at the build in more detail, but if you were going to play the standard PvP Emp role, this build is pretty bad. I've got the PvP build for my Emp/Dark but it's at home and I don't have access to it at the moment.

Off the top of my head, I do not see much value for Absorb Pain and Blackstar in PVP (zone wide)

Blackstar no. Absorb Pain - you'd be doing a great disservice to your team to skip that power, especially in situations with heal decay (PB'd Absorb Pain is one of the only worthwhile heals once heal decay has fully kicked in).

If you don't see why ap is good just go roll a thermal troller. Spike heals are huge in this day and age of heal decay.

I'm assuming you're not on Freedom, Infinity, or Pinnacle?

Even if the build he made is a PvP build, it's pretty bad regardless of whether he intends to solo.

Like I said, wish it had more HP, but I get what I can take. Toying around with swapping out Power Mastery for Psi Mastery (for TK to help set up spikes) but nothing set in stone as of yet.

-you want to try and get your hp above 1400

-the heals are worthless you you cant get to someone in time..you need SJ and Hurdle

-Clearmind is pretty important..not just for the mez protection but the perception too

-dark pit is questionable, looks like you slotted Boxing and Blackstar just for the 2.52% fire/cold resist, it's not worth it

-you'll prolly want Power Build Up over Total Focus

-you wont use Resurrect or Recall Friend in arena, but it looks like more of a zone build

This is the emp/dark build I went with for zone teaming. The main differences being more emphasis on kb protection, a little range in the heals and recharge bonus and less on hp beyond accolades. Also included torrent for those targets who aren't so fanatical about kb protection.
