  1. Kb = knockback. The ice hold does +100 protection to knochback. As for the lower damage mind has a fast activating ranged attack chain while ice is pretty much your hold then the fire stuff. It really does make a noticeable difference.
  2. The two /earthys would not be that good. Mud pots would detoggle every time you get mezzed, it has a small radius and it messes up mez suppression because it has an immobile built into it. The ice/fire probably has some decent merit for a unique build, but ice is a far cry from mind/ or fire/. The mind elec would easily be the strongest option of what you have up. Its hard to go wrong with bu ts and confuse.

As long as you are willing to do lower damage. And know that your hold will mess up any kb spiking in a team setting the ice fire should be fine.
  3. *runs right up next to Divine, then throws a shark*
  4. I think its more about slotting for accuracy in power push. If you slot a full set of kin crash you come in at 47.7 which, imo, is far to low for such a key power. With a full set slotted out the numbers for acc dam and kb come in at 47.7/68.9/173.9. The slotting I use is 4 kin crashes (all but the r/e and d/e/kb pieces) and two nucs. This bring the a/d/kb numbers to 97.1/97.1/168.2. You still get the +3 kb protection bonus and lose the 7.5. Though on doms picking up global recharge is not much of a challenge. While not the most damaging power in your arsenal you will use it enough that you do want the most out of it.

I was one of those baddos that was doing as -> impale back then. My em stalker hit 50 2 weeks after i13 went live.
  6. Being bad by choice is not as cool as you and max think

Seriously though, you can io up a ss fire pretty damned cheap. AS you can pretty much any toon. You just aren't going to have a build that is the best of the best, but will still add a lot to your toon.

I was playing an ice icy dom back before domination offered mez protection and wrecking regins with it. I rolled my mind ea the day I bought cov 3 days after its launch. Once ios were introduced I was on the first perma doms on the live servers. My main pvp toon for quite a few issues was a mind fire. I am glad that you the true champion of dom pvp showed up to set me straight though.

my love/hate relationship has not allowed me to drop TF. It

While not saying its skippable you make it sound like a bad power, when it and power push are the only reasons to roll ea in the first place.

I can see your point on levitate for fliers. I would still consider dropping it out of a build if I could find something more useful. though the amount of terrible fly/snipe blasters seems to be multiplying by the day. I spent most of the day yesterday on my fire/ea spamming rof to drop them for lulz.

Tell you what, you make a mind/nrg or any /nrg dom for that matter and beat my mind/nrg and you can spout whatever advice you want about it.

Take me off ignore in game so we can get this done, sent you a few tells last night that fell on deaf ears. Nice e tuffness there pumpkin.
  8. I am not even sure I would take levitate on a mind ea tbh. Power push gives you everything it can and so much more.

Someone asked how to slot their push so I replied, sorry you're so butthurt about my comments,

I didn't get butthurt, its just bad advice. Its really as simple as that.

Tell you what, I have a mind ea. And a fire ea. And what they can beat has nothing to do with what advice I should be giving out. I am intelligent enough to know to slot power push for kb and that tf is not a skippable power, you on the other hand....

As far as kb goes most "good" players will have high enough kb resist anyways

How many good players you see these days, cause I have been knocking people on their ***** with thunderstrike of late. So yeah I totally see your point.

If you can make your TF into a wicked stunner and can actually land it before mezzing that would be the best you can hope for but they will be chucking rocks at your face as you're rushing in if you can't kb them.

If you can't open every time with tf you should probably be playing a regin.

TF should always be second in your attack chain *unless you have the mace* so as to not get caught animating.

On Mezmera I power push them to test their kb resistance. If they can be then it's easy times. Most times you will have to deal with blasters and the only real way to mez them is to kb and confuse them if they cant be kb'd you're in for a long day. Either switch targets or go after them harder OR just make a /fire dom. I start it off push/tk depending on their kb resist, TF for the hax stun if you can kb them, dig in with your best attacks, dont forget a confuse, and lastly push them again if they can be to get more attacks in.

People who spout advice in bcast about how not to slot power push for kb probably shouldn't be giving advice. And any ea who ever even has the thought even flash in their mind for a second to drop tf isn't thinking clearly. Tbh with and ea your chain should always start with power push > tf, regardless if it knocks the target back or not. Learning good habits is a good thing, and using tk to open when you have tf is just ludicrously insane.

Again, not as damaging but there is some potential there with enough stalkers working together.

Not really. You are better off getting people to learn how to as and 2 shotting everything that isn't melee and you can even get some of those. Shark spikes have done nothing but replace the laziness that was tf > et spam from the baddo em stalkers of pvp 1.0. Yeah it can work against tards, but anyone who can play is probably laughing at you.
  12. As an io mule only. I wouldn't waste time toggling it on though. Its hard to pass up 10 rech 4 recovery and 4 damage.

you do not want to be a poned.
    This says it all.
  14. You can get around 2800 hp pretty easy on a fire tank. Assuming buffers behind both an invul and a fire the difference would be negligible. Then throw in that the fire armor has superior damage and you have why the scale tips in its favor.

And max, stop talking like anyone but you uses sos. You sick freak.

If you like mu bolts doyler, just switch to dark and get shadow meld at least. A proced out dark blast is on par with mu bolts and you get the added survivabilty of sm.

    Best Dom

My 'unique butterfly' doms are fire ea and grav elec. The fire ea is a decent arena toon and alright zone toon. The grav elec is a beast in zones, I haven't really done any arena with it so I won't comment there. That said, mind fire is so much better than both in the damage department its scary. Its really like playing a blaster when you are on a mind fire because it does do much more damage than any other set up.

Don't be afraid to play a butterfly though, all the cool kids do it.
  17. Being elec/ means you can ride on the strength of thunderstrike and don't really need sharks. It is a very nice attack though. I will say though in this case it works out to were your theme/concept doesn't work against you, be aware that usually building for theme or concept will cost you a lot of effectiveness in pvp. Yes, it can be silly throwing sharks from your hands. The fact is though its the best attack you can get your hands on, and its ranged to boot.

    Two PVP Builds

Not alot of people here are into straight up posting builds for beginners. First I will offer the advice to work on the fire regin and not so much the kat inv. Then work up a build and post what you think you would like then we can help you with it from there.
  21. Staminaless is not very beginner friendly. It takes awhile to get used to and learning to watch for hasten crashes closely. I really need to get fon on my ele wp. Since free transfers there are so many targets I am routinely running low on end.

    Power Boost

It doesn't boost perception. As for bad in game info, thats what the forums or for. And no it doesn't effect kb, it was a compromise during the acro nerf. Without it em blaster with pb and vanguard up would have been able to kb pretty much anything that didn't have a built in mez toggle.
  23. DR will wreck your numbers. Son/mm is decent though. Throw a build together and post it and we can poke around at it.
  24. Fire. Then invul or elec if you want to be a snowflake.
