My villain lost about 40, but immediately gained 3, then 2 more by end of night to be sitting at 515. Still over 500, and there's not a lot of villains there on Champion.

From what I've been reading, the Strike Force is much more difficult than the Task Force. It also requires at least one Mastermind and one Stalker to complete.

Nope, ran it with 3 corrs, 3 brutes, a widow, and a spider, and had little problems. Think we clocked in at 1:47. Only wiped once.
Liked it. Last battle got crazy. If I had one complaint, it would be that it kind of forced you to get real linear a few times. All in all, though, good stuff.
Haven't really experienced the rest except getting badge-ganked. -
I didn't have a serious problem Nerva'ing it. At 50, I could just run through the docks killing everything repeatedly to force more spawns and not bothering to read the info boxes. Why? Because lots of people need that badge and go through reading the info boxes.
When the zone resets, it's 50/50. Someone goes through reading info boxes, it's now 75/25 after the 50/50 repop. Then 87/13, 94/6, 97/3, et cetera.
Kill em all, let the repop sort them out. -
I felt it was almost better than a heal farm with my /dark MM.

You're taking what I said slightly differently than I intended it...you're mentioning leadership being a problem, I was trying to say that there were solid leaders around, that I saw the problem being more about having a non-ideal character mix and a lot of new people rather than a leadership problem. Just from what I saw.
I didn't mean to say that you were saying we sucked or even really noticed we existed at all, I'm just saying I disagree with your analysis of what the problem was, from what I was seeing. The leadership seemed solid, to me. I used the example of my team because that's the example I saw the most, but the MM's also seemed to be rockin' it. Even the spike team did well for having less than ideal composition and numbers. -
To comment on Meowtch's post, I want to say that I honestly believe Blackcide/@Fanged Knight was very clear and awesome as the leader of the taunt team, and helped a few of us who were rather new to the experience. On Round One, I taunted the wrong mito, so you would have caught agg there, my bad. This was pointed out to me and corrected before Round Two. And there were a few other times that in team commentary helped us (I think 3 of us were new to Hami'ing) refine our tactics.
We had solid leadership, with NetMinder (i Nubis) helping out as well.
Just saying, I really don't think leadership was an issue from what I saw around. I think a lot of people being really new, which will change, and a less than ideal character make-up were the two biggest flaws, and both of those are easily correctable.
Sadly, I, personally can only correct one of those flaws. Other than my brute, the only thing I have near 45 is a 38 MM. -

I love how the screenshot shows off Bug Hunter.

Wasn't meant to show off anything, just to indicate the position on the list.

That actually came out snarkier than intended. If I had Bug Hunter, I'd take out billboards, so it wasn't a character judgment at all. -

I've never seen a blue raid for comparison, but I agree with FangedKnight and NetMinder. There were way too many times that I was sitting there waiting for the spike team to come, and I think on wave 3 a retreat should have been called before it was. I ran through about 4 EoEs even after the handwriting was on the wall for a regroup.
Yet, I do think all in all, it was a good experience.

@Dark Epitaph -
I think our taunt team held it down pretty well, even if I screwed up and Taunted Net's in Wave 1. I agree with the mad amounts of love, everything went great, well, except EoE-gate, but whatever.
Well done!
One question: where was Niviene? -
Using the hostages as an example was poor, since the hostage badges (topping out at 50) were pretty darn reasonable.
Destructible objects, too. -
This weekend, being Memorial Day, is straight out for me, although I could do it Friday night.
-
I can verify that they unlock in Oro when you get the badges, even post-level range. Did both Velua and #204's missions that way.
-
I was wondering this too.

Last week, I had some good sushi at a place that does two for the price of one on spicy tuna rolls on Mondays.

@Dark Epitaph
Kral-Raiden, stone/stone brute w/taunt.
This'll be my first hami ever, so be patient. -
The recon man was added to Fort Hades the same time they were added to Hero Hazard Zones, which was issue 13, IIRC.
My joining date may tell you why I didn't make these criticisms on the February 2006 list. No real mystery there. This is the first time I've felt knowledgeable enough about the badges to comment. Maybe a better solution is to reduce the Marcone bosses badge to 100, but really, with it needed for the easiest redside accolade to get, most characters put the time into getting it by the time the Slot Machine is available. I see it as a non-issue. -

Whoops, you did have the right badge listed, but you were wrong about it: Port Oakes is full of Marcone bosses. It's a cinch to get below level 15 even.
[/ QUOTE ]
Are you referring to this part?
[ QUOTE ]
- Slot Machine is very difficult to unlock during levels 30-35, given that most Family below 35 are non-Marcone for Untouchable, instead of Marcone for Gangbuster. Can the level be changed to 35-40?
[/ QUOTE ]
Street hunting in Port Oakes takes a long time unless that area is really busy.
[/ QUOTE ]
I also think that somewhere in the editing we lost a word. I think the item is supposed to be about most Family *missions* below 35.
Which brings me to this: the point is supposed to be the odds of getting the badge without many hours of hunting grey-cons in PO for no other reward than 6 rather ordinary missions. It's just not good balance currently.
I guess that means that maybe it'd be balanced if the missions were a lot more unique, FWIW.
[/ QUOTE ]
Uh, why do you have to hunt them as grey cons? You can find them back at level 10 and get the badge then, also, Billie Heck's Last Man Standing arc has missions that will pop Marcone bosses if you're focused purely on missions.
As for Veluta, they did add a recon officer to Fort Hades to explain ghost hunting to you, which is an improvement.
I like this doc in general, I just disagree with some of the redside stuff. -
I've never had a problem getting Marcone bosses in Port Oakes, and I primarily play on a low pop server (Champion). Especially with it needed for Demonic, most people get it early.

You're wrong on the Slot Machine, it IS the Marcone badge that unlocks it. Trust me, I'm primarily redside.

And she's the daughter of an ugly rock star, which adds to her hotness points.

Grats Pingus!
I told my wife about the villain MA contest part, and she's spent the last two hours typing up something truly diabolical. -
I'm sort of glad I've made no effort to advertise my arc at all, and only one member of my SG has played it. I knew there'd be massive griefing.
I plan to eventually start hitting the longer arcs once I have some badges from the smaller ones, and then I'll probably just search for 4 star arcs or people I know.
