i went the opposite..i used consume on my defensive build cause i was able to place multistrikes in it..or obliterations can be placed.

however my farm build has no consume since i maxed out on so much recovery he doesnt run out of end.

i have 10 kn on my fire tank..8 just wasnt enough...i used one steadfast and got the other 6 from glad armor bonus..one wasted slot for 10 kb aint bad

when your close to 4 recovery you dont need it..just fyi

recovery bonus's..you can start by buying impervium armors for resist damage and gift of ancients for weave..they both give 2.5% recovery bonus

plenty of other things to use that helps as well...performnance shifter + end,numina regen/recovery,miracle + recov etc..

f.e = fiery embrace

b.u. = build up

acro = acrobactics


and yes more spawns and more rezzers = more influnce and more xp. i spent and made billions thanks to my fire tank

purples will drop..not in an a.e. mish but regular freak mish..you can get one with unai. serach 1st deminsion mish.

run them over on invinc setting with 6 people and major mobs and no bosses. run right through them all.

a...scorch is crazy minor damage..get rid of it.

b..f.e. and b.u. are underslotted..fire is the highest damage output. these two together are crazy. make it happen

c...your slotting is all over the place.i cant tell what you were going for..

d..stamina ...3 slot it.

e..dump rise of the phoenix..aint nothing but eye candy.

f..super jump 3 slotted?..waste of 2 slots.


g..combat jump is WAY over slotted.

h...demons are fire based..your a "fire" tank....stop doing demons and do freakshow. they herd better,faster and rez for more spawns.

i...drop acro and get i.o kb protection.

j...pick up tough and weave

k...go hunt kill freaks


now about the farming and end recov..there are sooooo many recovery bonus's in i.o sets..if you plan on farming go with a set plan for your tank

i went with recov and recharge along with some acc.

almost everything has recov bonus's so look around..they will cost and if you get purples youll be all kinds of set.i did so well on mine that i was able to drop conserve power...then later on..i also dropped consume ..havent run outta end yet.

you can use the karma or steadfast sets

karma is a defense set and steadfast is a resist damage set

also theres are a ton of new pvp sets like the resist damage and pbaoe sets that have kn protection in the bonus's themselves

except scrappers :P

40.77% melee defense i replaced the end mods in consume with mutlistrikes to make you happy for the poor man

now first i was told i know nothing of tanks or fire tanks and that i might not even have one.

my 2nd build is now defensively built...calling people out isnt a smart choice.

oh and this was all made today...ive been at work all weekend. total spent over 2 billion.

and i was asked to give my build and thoughts. even told you all im too exspensive so dont hate.

ok update...since im being called out by another in this thread ill tell you my first build is a purpled out build..hes built completely for recov and recharge. this thread not being about that ill leave it out. needless to say i dropped cosume from my build with the near perma recov i got .


now onto this convo about defenses ...since i have more money then i know what to do with i would hit up as much melee defense as i can.being a tank ill be in melee the most.

heres what i came up with.. fire tank defensive build


now..i used the pvp recipes..why?..recov and kb protection in just 2 and 3 out of the bonus's..plus like stated oblit's have low end cost so this will help with that

i also used panceas in my heal for a 955 hp's heal, the pancea +hp/end in my health for 65 hps a tick just for giggles

i then put in the 3 % defense steadfast, the 3% glad armor def and the 3% resis damage unqiue

the sheilds are franken slotted to save on slots for complete bonus's

plus having a steafast kb i.o for another recov and yes tottaly out 10 kb protection for my tank which with these bonus's give me a 19% increase in damage and i even threw a lotg + 7.5% recharge in combat jump


this gets me at 38.90 melee defense on top of 75 % resist to s/l...now this is the first time ive ever done a defense build..ill look into improving it later

the problem i have is just simply not enough slots so i used where i could since money is no object

go ahead and critize it...

actually its more like 3 billion..and if you bother looking at my avatar youll see that it is INFACT my fire tank...i mean are you even that dull to not even notice?...seriously your funny builds and now asking me if i even HAVE a fire tank is too frikkin funny


oh and grats on tanking with a tank...i guess thats impressive..i wish i could do that on my lvl 50 stone/stone or my lvl 50 wp/em or my lvl 50 dark/dark or my lvl 50 fire/fire or my lvl 50 fire/ice or my lvl 50 ice/mace or my lvl 50 invul/ss or my lvl 50 shield/fire tank..geeze youve done it all..lol

yes ive done the stf...no never the mstf cause frankly i dont wanna but i could have and would get the mostf (not a badger)..no one is impressed..its your buffs that help you tank l.r. not just you so stop pretending your more then you are with you and your big multistrikes..lulz

my fire tank will always be #1..hes got the best build and the most money ever placed in him of all my toons..hes a damn beast and hes overkilled for my satisfaction.

You realise the +regen of those Ios is increased by your health heal slotting right? I would throw a 6th slot in there and use a Numinas heal to up my %s for regen.

I like to slot my health to ED cap if possible when using the +regen IOs, since they also benefit.

Plus you get an extra 12% regen set bonus that way too.

Pancea +HP/End
Numina +regen/Rec
Numina heal
Miralce heal
Miracle +rec
Regen tissue +regen

Thats the best rich guy slotting I guess. I personally use all but the Pancea unique and I have a Numinas heal/end in its place for the HP bonus and capped heal % in health. I aint paying 400 mil for no pancea, and Im a one account guy so theres no easy way to farm one.

if i didnt have it purpled out and huge on recharge where i heal every 14 seconds at 955 hp's i would worry about regen ..but seriously i cant rememeber the last time i died..thanks to healing flames regen isnt a concern
