As far as I know, no combination of game types will prevent you from receiving extra months from serial codes.
And yes, free months count towards Veteran badges. -
I don't know whether this is related or not, but I lost all my global channels a while ago. After sending a few tells around, it seems this didn't happen to most other people.
*Shrug.* -
Specifically, many of the complaints seem to mention Ouroboros, based on what I've heard on chat channels so far. Could be a connection?

i'm not sure if powerboost actualy boost -def.
[/ QUOTE ]As far as the game is concerned, buffs and debuffs are the same thing. -
I haven't logged onto what few Heroes I have, today. My villains are fine. Most people complaining about the bug were on Heroes, from what I can tell.

Also of course they could finally let us fight the big guy....
[/ QUOTE ]Maybe if he's a 50-character-fight like Hamidon. Considering Rularuu's level of power, anything less would be disappointing and unconvincing.
His weakened aspect thing in the CoP doesn't count, of course. -

Actually leave Warshades alone altogether now as they are beyond fine.
[/ QUOTE ]Agreed that they're beyond fine, although everything besides the Inherent change that I listed was a straight buff. -
Not to take any side on the nerfherding debate, but saying "leave things as they are" is rather silly. Sticking to an unchanging status quo is only possible if everything is perfectly balanced in all ways. Is it? No. And I can say this objectively.
I have to admit, I do honestly think that Foot Stomp in particular is stupidly overpowered. The rest of SS seems okay.
And WP... Well, I dunno. It doesn't have any weaknesses relevant to casual gameplay, and I daresay most MMORPG players are casual gamers. Thus it appears good at everything, and is the most popular secondary. As it appears uber for these reasons, word-of-mouth and recommendations cause the effect to spread. The regen could maybe use a tiny toning-down, but I'm not sure it's necessary.
Would it be possible to make the other armor sets more casual-friendly without overpowering them or wrecking the game? -
Rumor has it non-Marcone bosses were originally not meant to appear in CoV -at all-. They're likely left in mostly because of the tommygun weapon model, though.
In any case, I don't know of any better place than the Nerva docks. What I CAN recommend is gathering a large team for hunting them. Outdoor spawns are similar to mission spawns, you get more enemies and more bosses when a large team is scouring the area. -
There's a perfectly good in-game reason for Outbreak remaining as it is.
As for the rest, Ouroboros certainly would provide a convenient way to keep the old arcs around while forwarding the "present" story. -

With them working in forms now I quite like it for Warshades now I find. On a team of Tanks and Defenders you can float about in Nova throwing out attacks and having a nice bit of Resistance, on a team of Scrapper and Blasters you can be Mr Tank but still be throwing out alright damage. Sure PBs probably benefit more from their version which helps them, but Warshades have all those mired AOE attacks and pets.
[/ QUOTE ] As I mentioned, this was purely my personal opinion - I consider the PB inherent better because it allows you to make up for your team's weaknesses, as opposed to improving upon what your team is already strong at, which is what I feel fits Kheldians better.
[ QUOTE ]
Frontloading the mires would be nice for soloing, big time (does the scrapper version front-load now?) and the Taunt in Dwarf Mire a big yes to.
[/ QUOTE ]Yep, Soul Drain from Dark Melee is now Frontloaded. -
[ QUOTE ]
The Sonic Shield powers are marked as non-resistable, but not Ignores Buffs and Enhancements
[/ QUOTE ]You can enhance them, but Power Build Up, for example, will not affect them, as they're flagged to ignore outside buffs. Enhancements do not count as outside buffs, but another power's effect does, to my knowledge.
[ QUOTE ]
* Edit : Oh wait, it's that the Engine considers +Resist buffs and -Damage debuffs the same thing isn't it, not +Resist and Damage dealt.
[/ QUOTE ]As the engine also considers buffs and debuffs the same thing with opposing values, this is why I'd guess resistance buffs are flagged as unaffected by outside buffs: red insps.
As always, I could be mistaken though, but this is my understanding of how the game works. -
Give Essence Drain and Black Dwarf Drain the Siphon Life treatment (double damage, minus one-third recharge).
Frontload Sunless Mire and Black Dwarf Mire.
Give Black Dwarf Mire a Gauntlet effect like White Dwarf Flare has.
Fix Respites so they heal based on total maxHP, not base maxHP (easier said than done, I'm guessing).
Make the Warshade inherent work like the Peacebringer inherent.
Make Nebulous Form's +jump values not suck horribly.
Turn the Knockback values on Peacebringer human form melee attacks into Knockdown.
Increase the range of Glowing Touch; rename as appropriate, if thought necessary after a range buff.
Drop the -ToHit debuff on Group Energy Flight.
Increase the TP magnitude on Starless Step - it's in a freaking Primary powerset, it shouldn't suck as horribly as Teleport Foe already does.
That'd make Khelds close to perfection in my eyes, though they're pretty boss right now as they are. I love my Warshade so very much.
On that note, maybe lose the form-blocking of Light Form and increase the mag of Pulsar from 2 to 3. It might tread on Warshades' toes a little bit, but looking upwards at the other buffs I suggested, I think I'm probably biased in favor of Shades anyway. -

Resist, Damage (the two are sorta the same thing as far as the engine is concerned)
[/ QUOTE ][ QUOTE ]
Power Build Up affects damage
[/ QUOTE ]This is actually exactly why I figured +/-res powers are flagged ignore outside buffs. Otherwise popping Enrages on a Sonic/Sonic would cause stupid results. -
Nobody is FORCING you to buy slots or a name change. It's an option, not an obligation for playing the game.
Subscription prices have NOT gone up. What's the big deal? Just don't buy the slots or name change, especially if you yourself say you don't NEED it.
Gosh, it's as if people on the internet purposefully look for things to whine about. -
Woo, more invasions!
And I, for one, would be happy to start butchering the pedestrians, should they spring into combat mode - serves them right for g'damn PUSHING me all the time. -

With a team of Scrappers/Blasters you can almost Tank in Bright Nova Form

Positron seems to gain a huge defence bonus when he's at low health. Anyone else had that problem?
[/ QUOTE ]Working as intended, Positron has a godmode power named [Overcharge] (which in itself is a clone of [Overload], or maybe the other way around), and will use it when his health drops too low. -
Elec is the best for AoE burst damage, but for damage over time SS beats it with Foot Stomp alone (with Rage active of course).
-
You're heavily exaggerating and even claiming downright false points here and there, though it's true that SS/WP (and SS and WP seperately) overperform when compared to other powersets. There's a thread on the Brute forums with more accurate information and numbers on the subject.
[ QUOTE ]
Instead of toning down two good sets, why not improve the sets that aren't performing so well?
[/ QUOTE ]
Because Brutes are overpowered already. All of them, not just SS/WP. The other sets -are- performing well, SS and WP just perform even better to the point of being ridiculous. -

EA brute, the worst of all the secondaries

Sword in right hand, pistol in left hand. It'd use Broadsword animations for the melee attacks and existing pistol animations for the ranged ones. Some new or tweaked animations may or may not be necessary.
Concept is simple enough. Assault sets use a mix of ranged and melee attacks. Whether or not this would be a feasible combat style in real life, comic books are largely base more on 'cool' than 'practical'. And, well, I find this cool, myself. It uses a lot of existing attacks and thus isn't really strictly original, but combines them together into more of a unique blend and is thus hopefully innovative. For awesomeness, let it use Broadsword models so villains have access to them too...
Granted, it'll look silly if someone only uses pistol attacks and none of the sword ones or vice-versa, but it's no more silly than a Fortunata spraying darts out of her knuckles without shredding mobs with them in melee.
As for redraw issues, see Thorny Assault.
Anywho, here we go, tried to have it match the existing 6 Assault sets in power order and theme:
1) Pistol
Ranged, Minor DMG (Lethal)
As the Thugs Mastermind attack. Only uses left-handed animations. Obligatory minor damage blast to begin with.
2) Hack
Melee, High DMG (Lethal), foe -Def
As the Broadsword attack. Pretty self-explanatory. Obligatory 8 second recharge melee attack in the second tier.
3) Strafe
Ranged (Cone), Moderate DMG(Lethal), Knockback
Empty Clips, with one gun. Might look a little unconvincing, but the alternative was a snipe, and who wants that? Ranged cone.
4) Hollow Round
Ranged, Moderate DMG(Lethal), Foe Knockdown
Think Dual Wield from Thugs Masterminds, but as a single shot. Or Slug from Assault Rifle. Preferably knockdown, of course... Second ST blast.
5) Blinding Feint
Melee, Moderate DMG (Lethal), Self +DMG +To-hit
As the Dual Blades version, or Claws' Follow Up, only with a more appropriate animation for one sword. A more rare Build Up variant, and also an extra melee attack of sorts, if chosen to slot for damage.
6) Whirling Sword
PBAoE Melee, Moderate DMG(Lethal), Foe -Def
As the Broadsword power. The PBAoE of the set.
7) Disembowel
Melee, Superior DMG (Lethal), Knockup, Foe -DEF
As the Broadsword power. Second, stronger melee attack (not counting the two utility melee powers).
8) Parry
Melee, Minor DMG(Lethal), Self +DEF(Melee,Lethal)
As the Broadsword power... The utility power of the set, focusing on improving survival, though conversely provides a risk due to requiring melee and PBAoE range of the foe. Too good, too garbage?
9) Incendiary Round
Ranged, High DMG(Lethal), Minor DoT(Fire)
Inspired by Malta Gunslingers as most pistol-related suggestions are, functionwise based off Blazing Arrow from archery. As usual for Dominators, a high-damage single target blast fills the ninth tier.
So, there we go. Weapon Assault. And Broadsword models available for non-Scrappers: I just made Dominators more popular (well, slightly?). And it's about time for that, they're underplayed! -
It's been said before by the devs that whips, grappling hooks, Chain Control and other rope-ish powers are not going to happen anytime soon due to engine limitations.
Unless you want them to look absolutely horrible. -
Wouldn't it be hilarious if we could make 8 man team sized spawns of nothing but Sappers with the Architect?

How to possibly play a stalker and like it?
[/ QUOTE ]Realize that they're basically Scrappers, only better.
