Indeed, I agree with Angelstar, add my name to the list. I really want to the do the new Reichsman TF and get the new MO badges as well, but I don't want to do them too easily, that would spoil the fun of one of the most enjoyable aspects of them game for me.

Like Angelstar says, the more people the devs are aware this is bothering, the more they may prioritise it

Well, taking the role of devils advocate, it's easy to see both sides of this one.

I can understand why the devs put in the temp fix, I'm a badge hunter myself and the idea that I could get any MO badge too easily was just plain wrong, no matter how little it effected the game for everyone else.

However, I can see the POV of the OP as well, There's been a lot added to the game to make it more fun, but one of the most enjoyable aspects of this game is the TF's, on both sides. Having it stuck at +0 is not going to be anywhere near as enjoyable for a lot of people, particularly those who like a challenge, which some of the higher lvl TF' can be when set properly. I think Von is just asking how much longer do players have to wait for it to be fixed? Is there any news on a fix date for this? Is it even being worked on? I read the boards regularly and I've not seen any mention of it anywhere, hence me not even realising it was still an issue!

To send a message to support only to be told this is WAI (which is it, in a way, as that's how the devs have fixed it for now) is not really telling the players how much longer it will be until it's sorted out.

Do we have any idea of what the actual issue is with the TF's? Why this big is happening? I've still to do the new 5th Column TF atm and I don't particularly fancy doing it if the team just burns through it easily, where's the fun in that?

I'm confused now, are TF's and SF's not letting you set them at anything other than +0? Is that WAI??

If so, it's stupid, what's the fun at level 50 of taking on a white villain? At 50 I wanna fight purples, risk and reward and all that?

1. I know it's been asked many times before and I'm sure I remember reading it will probably never happen due to the amount of work involved, but just much work would be involved in giving us players the ability to create our own maps....no, wait, don't run off, come back!!

Honestly, it's one thing I would seriously love to see and would make missions much more unique as players imaginations would really kick in with it. Even just adding things in a tileset manner would help as we could make more specific variations depending on how we want to create our fabulous stories

For the record, I HATE the idea of tieing to global names. I hated it in CO, thought it was ugly and unwieldy. Each to their own but it's one of the many things that turned me away from CO.

The thing that gets me is the numerous times people use the "more than one 'real' superhero sharing a name like Captain Marvel. Now I don't claim to be an all knowledgeable comic expert, but i don't remember this happening much in over 20 years of reading DC comics. It happened from time to time, but not often and usually was done as a plot device or storyline. Obvious exceptions are Green Lantern, but usually there's very few that share a name, after all, there's only one Superman, one Batman.....erm, well, sort of

The point being, when there are multiple heroes with a shared name in the comics, it's a massive thing, such as Superman and Superman-Prime, Batman (bruce wayne) and Batman (Azrael), and it's usually sorted out in a big comic book storyline/battle with the name going back to the original character, there's not ever been a case of 20-30 people walking around calling themselves Superman. (to the best of my knowledge anyway )

I like the idea that my character is unique and no one else is called Coin. I've played the game for nearly 5 years and people know me as Coin. I'd hate it with a passion is suddenly 4 other people suddenly appeared with the same name and it's the sort of thing that would drive me further from this game.

I think names should be unique per server.......except Scarlet Shocker. That's a silly name :P

Well, I never got a response from him on Twitter either, so I've officialy given up now. I'll never get jy artwork, the supposed bonus artwork I was supposed to get from ordering when I did, the chibi he promised me as an apology or the one he was supposed to be doing for my wife, also as an apology.

I've paid about £50, about $100 for a jpeg.

Not to sound like I'm complaining, as I'm not, but more curious, how come the EU players can enter this one and not the previous competition?

Is it down to the fact that there's no physical or monetary prizes for it?

I've been saying this for ages about this game, even started a thread on the old EU forums about it, but nothing ever gets mentioned about it from the devs.

Now, don't get me wrong, the game has shedloads of content, it will do after 5 years, but, and here's the rub, it's the same thing over and over!!

I'm desperate for new mission types. After nearly 5 years of playing it, i'm sick to death of the same mission style over and over. What have we got?

Defeat All
Rescue Hostage/Capture Hostage
Click Glowie
Defeat Boss and group around him
Combinations of those above....

Seriously, this is a Superhero game, with not enough superhero styled missions, and the same goes for villains. There's not enough variety. There's a whole stack of comic book storylines that can be used for inspiration and we just get the same mission style over and over and over and over and over and over.....

Don't get me wrong, i understand, this is a game. There are limits on what can be done. You can't have every single mission be different, obviously, that would take more programming power than there is on the entire planet, probably :d but even just a handful of new mission types would add some much needed variety. Levelling up can become such a slog doing these things over and over. And before anyone mentions Taskforces, they are the same problem. Mostly the same mission types in a row before anything interesting at the final mission. Indeed, some of the newer ones are much more interesting, the Sky Raiders base TF on villains, Statesman TF final mission, these are what make the game fun, having to work out different tactics for how to defeat it with different AT types is amazing fun, but there's only a few of these and only so many times you can do it without getting bored of of it again.

Personally, I'm pinning my hopes on Going Rogue. I'm hoping all the new content will have a LOT on new interesting stuff to do, other than the same mission types with different text and graphics. I would LOVE to see about 50 new TF's, all with different things to do in them and not just 10 missions in a row followed by "all pile on the AV" (I'm looking at you, Positron TF!) I'd love to see some missions happen at random out on the street, I'd love to see us actually rescuing people from things like a burning car, a falling crane, etc, things like this. With the talent that seems to be at Paragon Studios now, I'm sure they can do something interesting to keep us occupied more.

Currently, I'm on an extended break until things improve and am using the chance to get my day job badges but I really really hope that GR has some different things to do than the same old in new clothes.

Out of interest, Starsman, do you have any way to watch the Sarah Jane Adventures at all, as they are excellent! Honestly, considering it's classed a childrens television I find it vastly more enjoyable than Torchwood

Plus, (and this isn 't really a spoiler as it's common knowledge now) the Doctor is due to appear in it in a few episodes time in the UK as well

No, my order was for a printed peice of artwork. I got a jpeg of the finished artwork, but not the printed version. In fact, I'm still waiting to pay the other half of the payment for it, despite having asked several times for a way to pay it and an invoice. That's when Jamaro offered me some extra artwork as compensation.

All I've ever had is a finished jpeg, never had a final printed version to go on my wall. That's all I'm after but I've got no way to contact him. I'll check Facebook, never knew MMO Art was on there, thanks for the tip.

Edit: Ok, found the group on Facebook, no updates on there for months now, so not holding out much hope. And to add insult to injusy, my pic is the very first one on the gallery there!!
