Nice work! How about cropping out just the boots and posting it in Jay's costume suggestion thread? We need those boots in game!
-
The game is rated teen but the website, including the forums, have no age restriction and nothing in place to prevent children searching for superhero related stuff from coming across what some parents may consider inappropriate material. It's not like the forums have to be logged into before they can be read so it may be the best course to keep content posted in them suitable for a general audience even though the game itself is for teens and up.

If you have access to an SG teleporter, the one for Nerva drops you on Granny Bedlam's little island.

And if you don't, then safest way is to jump in the water after getting off the ferry and swimming out to her. -

But I still think we have a right and obligation to give input on ideas, and I agree a simple yes or no are constructive, because it gives a better feel that oh, a lot of posters support or disagree with this idea.
[/ QUOTE ]
While 'yes', 'no', '/signed', and '/unsigned' posts do let it be known how a poster feels about an idea it is in no way constructive. What makes it a good idea? What can be suggested to make it a better idea? What makes it a bad idea? Offering answers to those is constructive while just one word agree/disagree posts are pretty much just spam. -
I imagine the pics were released to get peoples' reaction to the current looks and it probably isn't too late for them to make scaling adjustments for the blades or tinting for the willpower if it looks like a majority of people seem unhappy with them.
I think the blades look fine, was hoping for more of a one long and one short blade combo, though. The blades for the female model really need to scale down more, they look way too big and unwieldy. The ones the guy has seem sized pretty well. If the scaling for the blades is as bad for huge models as it is for the female model, then the blades might look rather puny when used by huge models. I think the huge model needs a huge blade, like a Khopesh. -

Nice article.
I know it's too late at this stage if they aren't in, but I'd love to see the Blood of the Black Stream brought into I11. They'd be very unhappy that someone is screwing with the Giant Circuit.
Also, there have already been hints that most zones are going to see at least minor changes as a result of I11.

Yes. It would be nice if the villain EAT was something other than a rehashed third flavor of the space squids. I doubt there will be wholesale changes to many zones, it would break a lot of story arcs, badge hunts, and the like. I think we will find that temporary protection from temporal disturbances will have been set up and maybe a co-op task force brought in for players to help Recluse and Manticore get the correct timeline reset. Things will likely be back to normal with I12. Just my take on the whole thing. -

If I close my eyes and concentrate really hard, I can almost hope the this is the Blood of the Black Stream.

I know how you feel man. I've been waiting for some playable Coralax stuff and/or the blood of the black stream forEVER. At first I was like "whoah, leviathan." Then I came here and I'm like "... or not."
[/ QUOTE ]
I've been hoping for the Blood of the Black Stream EAT ever since they posted that list of possible future EATs years ago. But since they've told us that when villains do get an EAT it will a re-worked rehash of the space squids instead of actually something new and different I doubt it'll ever happen. -
[ QUOTE ][*]Allow anyone of the group's faction to enter the base *(see note below).[/LIST]
[/ QUOTE ]
So instead of a SG building themselves a base they will in effect be building a free for use party room for griefers to hang out and cyber in. Even if the 24x28 plot was free with no rent that would just be too high of a price to pay. -
It might go against the grain of the thread but what I've been wanting for a long time would be functional. I'd like the ramps and platforms you see in Crey and some Longbow missions. They could be used to make large rooms multi-tiered withiout having to recode for a true multi-story level. Would have to be able to stack items on them like you see in the mission.
When I first decided to try base building I wanted to have an office hanging from the ceiling in the control room like the ones that are in some missions with the square room with windows overlooking a larger room below. Can't be done, of course, but if they were to add in those ramps and platforms a reasonable workaround could be built. If only the basebuilder was half as robust as the costume creator we could really make some awesome bases.
Some of the carpeting and linoleum from office missions would be nice too. I would like the entrance of my base to have a corporate office feel to it before giving way to the high tech areas deeper in. I was going to use the tile piece that can be placed on floors but couldn't get anything to sit on it. No desks, chairs, or anything that I tried to stack on it. Maybe they could fix that while they go over our suggestions. -

The combative inhabitants in a zone will move off the streets and to safer locations when a Rikti Invasion takes place.
[/ QUOTE ]
... but the civilians don't.
Remarkable.
The combat NPCs don't move around much. It's the cars that continue to drive around on the roads, and the couple of hundred NPCs walking around, that are making the lion's share of the network traffic in the zones with the worst lag. And it makes even less sense for them to ignore the Rikti; they're unarmed! That first blast of the alarm siren should trigger the panic emote, then a dash to the door, for every pedestrian non-combat NPC, and every car should stop in its tracks and not move until the all clear signal.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, the last few invasions I've seen, civilians do head for the hills in panic (Except maybe CoV? Didn't pay attention last raid in CoV).
However, we're still getting hit by cars, and the contact NPCs are rock stead (although it would be a nuisance IMO for contacts to disappear during a raid, albeit a temporary one).
At least make traffic stop or disappear as well, just for lack of another annoyance. Unless they're heading out of town at 90 MPH; now that would be humorous

Yes, in the next patch, Positron and Valkyrie, instead of standing around oblivious as the city crumbles around them, will now run away making scared girly noises like the useless idiots they are. :P

Positron- "Wait a minute! Those aren't gray to me!! Mommie!!!"
I've never been to RV. I'm not into the pvp or badge collecting so the heavy changes don't affect me, but I can understand people getting upset about it since it looks to be another way the devs are trying to force thier playstyle onto everybody else. -
Aww, now why should the kitties have all the fun?
How about a bear?
Panda Monium is my main hero and this is his bio as it appears in game.
-
Maybe add some orange to the costume? Not a lot, like just the belt, bandolier, and maybe the goggle lenses. The last orange shade on the right makes a nice looking metallic color without making you look like you fell off a tree in Florida.
-
I'll toss in three of my characters for consideration and hope one of them will catch your eye.
Panda Monium My main hero.
The Bishop of Battle My main villain.
Deacon Doom Another villain. -

Is that fair to villains? Well, no, not necessarily....but I will try to think about a similar type thing to do on the villains' side. (Feel free to throw out some ideas).

Luddites!
Or maybe the R.I.P.?

DE and Nemises!

Smacking down Longbow! They're worse than cockroaches, running around all over the place shooting off automatic weapons and flamethrowers in residential areas. The worst bunch of villains in the Isles if you ask me! -
Would be nice if they gave everybody that entered a free month of play. I doubt it would break them and it would make everybody feel thier effort was appreciated, especially those like me that have never done anything like this before and have no chance of actually winning.

neatersno one told me tho . anyone have a scan of it ?

Haven't seen the comic either but from what I hear it is the big group shot Alex did a while back with a bunch of heroes and villains chasing him. -

Flicking through the fan submissions to see Alex Dai's incredible group shot including some of Virtue's finest was frosting. Immortality, at last!
[/ QUOTE ]
If that's the pic I think it is then one of my alts is in it, wearing blue and gold and in the upper right corner, name is Starrhawk! Now I guess I'll have to drive 25 miles to the nearest comic store and hope they have it
Could somebody scan the pic and post it? If it's not the same pic then I won't have to get a second mortgage to pay for the gas to go get the comic.

Well, I'm officially pissed.
I own a registered copy of Comic Book Creator but I upgraded to Vista so it refuses to work for me. I cannot print it or pubish it to another PDF and it will not upload to the site. It goes through all the motions and then gives a vague error message. I've gotten no responses to my emails to Planetwide.
I'm going to go ahead and mail in an entry regardless giving a link to the comic otherwise hosted. It won't be accepted but its done so to Heck with 'em.

It's a bit of work, but you could construct JPGs of the pages and upload them at the hypercomics site. That's what I did for my wife's comic, and it worked well enough.
[/ QUOTE ]
I made mine a PDF and e-mailed it in but I also wanted to put it on Hypercomics so I could get peoples opinion of it but to do so I had to upload jpegs. I made them by copying and pasting each image from the pdf file into a new image in my graphics program, didn't take long with only 9 images. It's my first attempt at making a comic and it shows. In hindsight I think I wound up using too many shots from the main character's back but since I was doing the mission solo it made it hard to fight and move the camera around for decent shots at the same time, especially the EB battle, was more interested in staying alive in that one.
Hope the link works, like other things with that site been having some trouble with it.

And yeah, the rules pretty specifically say no "I Demand Answers" threads. #5 in General Conduct, actually, is "No I Demand Answers threads".

There is no demand for an answer, just a comment that a lack of an answer would be considered an answer in itself. -

Im confused.....
This thread obviously originated in a much different section of the forums yet, here it is in the Developers corner. I dont see any red names posts here yet, one would assume that a red or at least orange name would HAVE to have taken notice enough to move it here.
Also, I see no mention of this move in those who have posted already.
I assume that this is due to the fact that no one whom this subject applies to knows its here? Have the devs made "sneaky" and moved it where they knew the PvP crowd wouldnt find it?
Or..... were they thinking that the discussion could use a better forum in which to be discussed and tracked?

Who knowa what threads lurk in the forums of CoH? The Shadowmod knows! -
Suggested by: Me
catagory: Room Details
customizable: Yes
Type: Room Divider
Description: A flat panel that can take textures to match the walls of the room they're placed in. Would come in sizes to reach from floor to ceiling from tallest to shortest floor and ceiling height combinations and be able to take wall details. They could be used to divide one room into a number of smaller rooms for work areas or member housing that could be decorated to the user's request and take up less floor space than face to face bookcases like I've seen used in some bases. -
Well, I came up with this. Not much. but maybe it'll get your creativity flowing.
