Bsseth found herself in our dimension purely by accident, trying to track down the dealer of a very dangerous drug, one that had been affecting the "kittens" both of her people and the human population. Wielding fire, granted to her ancestors, her kind were looked to as a regular part of the law and justice systems, looked up to and relied on.
Stumbling into our world thanks to the stolen portal technology her quarry was using, her first introduction to the heroes of this dimension consisted of her launching a fireball at them.
Despite the overly warm greeting, she now works alongside those same heroes, trapped here as she is, trying to find the one poisoning her people as she looks for a way home.

Space Kitten, a Claws/Regen Scrapper, a feline form a planet of felines, part of the Galacto Guard, where she was assigned to the earth division, to assist Captain Galacto and Galacto Girl in helping the planet.
She have been trained for this, as the only one of her rather large family to posess the regenerative ability, she were accepted into the Galacto Guard quite young, but did not get transfered to the Earth Division until she were in her twenties, her nake is Rakasha, and she's not quite used to human behavior yet.

Sedrick Winden-Fey was found as an infant, snagged on a bridge pylon in the river Thames. The strange fuzzy infant garnered a sizeable amount of press and he was quickly adopted by the Winden-Feys, a wealthy family known as much for their generous philanthropy as for their sizable bank accounts. Sedrick was raised on the family estate in High Wycomb, and homeschooled into his late teens by his extremely protective parents.
In a desperate bid to escape the clutches of his parents and possibly have an adventure more exciting than a museum opening, Sedrick applied to an exchange student program in Paragon.
His parents will probably be upset when they return from their trip distributing vaccines in Africa.
Sedrick speaks with a soft British accent and heavy stutter. He avoids making eye contact during conversation and seems very uncomfortable with attention. A faint blush can usually be detected beneath his fur.

Do Fairy Wings count as Butterfly wings?
I got Fairy Wings on my Gata Roja, should be in my sig under costume4.
I haven't written an advanced bio explaing all my costumes but the Fairy Form is when Gata Roja reaches her ultimate psyche power. This form puts great strain on her and her surroundings, but one time when in this form She over exerted herself which sent her into a coma. The unleashing of the Pyschic power shread the robe she was wearing. Since Robes can't have cat tail options the belt I used is supposed to represent the tail wrapped around the middle.
I've only had about two or three pieces of art of my character.
Momo Jiri Mind Control / Psionic Assault Dominator. A girl who has mutated into a catlike appearance. She's been treated like a freak because of her appearance and her abilities and is currently just lashing out at the world who has treated her with nothing but cruelty.
Ms. Mew Claws / Super Reflexes Scrapper. I'm still working on her background. I'm also thinking of going to the tailors and giving her a cuter face. I may give her a different set of colors with her costume as well, or maybe just save them for her next costume. All I know is that she loves to act very anime catgirlish with lots of very cute catgirl behaviors and comments. I'm trying to decide whether to make her a more mature or a more cute catgirl currently.
Possessed Neko-Chan Ninja Sword / Ninjitsu Stalker. SHe's actually a good catgirl who stumbled across an evil sword and was possessed. She can often be heard meowing in combat, "No! I don't want to be a bad kitty!" as the sword makes her tear nice people to shreds.
Feel free to comment, even if you don't end up drawing them.
Thanks to all the replies. I'll try my hand at Mantid's character(s) for now. His are all male, plus it'll make a nice little 'thank you' for the animated emote guide of his which I have bookmarked.
Lots of very interesting characters here, though, so I'll probably end up painting at least one of them after I'm done with Mantid's.

For several reasons, I feel like painting a butterfly- or cat-themed character, and not mine own...
So... please post piccies and bios, etc. below! I'd LOVE to try my hand at a male character, but female characters are fine, too.
I do have a "we are orphans ourselves, and know how it feels" clause* - all other things being equal, I *much* prefer to do the portrait for a player with little or no existing art.
DA page in sig - please take a peek before posting, because my style is NOT comic-bookish and definitely not everyone's cup of tea.
I'll keep an eye on this thread for the next day or two, and pick my favorite(s).
