  1. That's a nice experiment, but I don't think the way you made your inf is something the typical "casual", non-marketeer player would know how to do.

    AE Suggestion

One thing they could do (if it wouldn't be too hard to code) is give us the option to give up an arc slot for added space on an arc. That would allow us to make a more expansive arc, and not take up more space.

I could be wrong, but I think -3 minions con grey, and therefore won't drop anything.

I have a broadsword/shield scrapper who I'll probably get to level 50 soon. It's not an ideal combination, but he has two AoEs and a cone (plus the damage from AaO), so he shouldn't be horrible at farming. It would at least give me some thing to do when my global channels are dead and I'm too lazy to actually do some thing.

Yes, please don't, some of us don't care to explain our moods/days to every person we come across.
  9. Since level 48 enemies can drop purple recipes, wouldn't it make sense to pick up a decent mission at level 48, hit 50 and then farm it? The enemies would die faster, being two levels under you instead of even-level or +1, and it wouldn't take as good of a build to do it efficiently. I would imagine that any scrapper with some AoE could easily survive at -2 set to 8 players, and kill pretty quickly even with just SOs.

But I don't see any one ever mention it. Is there some reason people don't, like the lower amount of inf you'd get? Or do people do it all the time and I just haven't heard about it?

  11. Okay, I used the advice in this thread to make an altered build. It's capped to Energy/Negative/Smashing/Lethal with out Energy Absorption, and with EA I can toggle off Weave. I also worked in stamina, which I don't think I need, but it will be useful especially against AVs. It does use Kinetic Combats, but they're not needed, so if I can't afford them or don't want to spend that much I don't need to have them.

I think this is what I'll go with.

    I need to vent!

As some one who has five kins, I would say that anyone who refuses to play it to its fullest potential doesn't deserve a team.

And that doesn't even mean keep everyone speed boosted.

    EDIT: Hi Laev!
  13. Now that I think about it, wouldn't Dark Pit + Howling Twilight be an amazing opener, with the combined disorient? I use Howling Twilight on my mastermind to stun mobs, but it only stuns the minions. With another stun it should at least get lieutenants, too.
  14. Postagulous, I can't get Mid's to open that build.

And I don't know if I need stamina, I've been doing fine with out it, running five toggles.
  15. Is Kinetic Combat that expensive? I don't really need those two slotted, I just wasn't sure what else to put there. If I put smashing haymaker in them instead, I'll still be softcapped with just one enemy hit with Energy Absorption, and it should be cheaper.

I'll have to look at frankenslotting.
  16. Click this DataLink to open the build!

My goal was to hit the softcap for smashing, lethal, energy and negative with as few enemies hit with Energy Absorption as possible. With Weave toggled, I only need to hit 1, with it off I still need to hit 9, but that should be easy in most fights.

I don't know if the build is any good besides that, it looks really sloppy to me, but I don't have any experience with IO builds. And it's hard to find sets that give good energy/negative resist. Also, I don't have tons of inf (I could probably scrape together about 700 million if I needed to) so I don't want any thing super expensive, like purples.

    Any thoughts?

Edit: Here's the build in forum-form if it's easier that way.

I always thought it came from some competitive game(s) where pressing Alt followed by QQ closed the program. So if some one was upset at losing, they'd press alt+QQ to automatically exit, maybe skipping a "Soandso has left the game" message or some thing. Basically a whiny/rage quit.

So it turned into a derogatory way to say some one is being whiny. But I could be wrong.

Well, "real numbers" are available in the game. Why don't you go compare it to another set and tell us exactly why it's weaker?

It sucks if it "seems weak" to you, but that's hardly a reason to change anything.
